Sailor Moon Collection Update :D

It's hard to believe that it's been over a year since I last updated my journal. x) I've been very lazy... x_X Any way, I'm still collecting Sailor Moon toys! My collection is growing like crazy and I'm running out of space. :D

I also opened a Flickr account so I can share some photos of my Sailor Moon collection. Feel free to ask questions and make comments! =D

1. How long have you been collecting Sailor Moon items?

I have been collecting some Sailor Moon goodies since high school.
I still remember how hard it was for me because I couldn't afford to buy any expensive toys.
After my graduation my life has changed as I found a very good and enjoyable job.

2. How many items are in your collection?

I can't tell this... as I just don't count them any more. All I can say is that I have incredibly large card collection.
I may have one of the largest in Europe. I ended up with 33 huge card binders. Pictures to come.
3. Do you keep your items in the box or are you a ‘de-boxer’?

I'm a very picky person. I keep replacing my items to the best possible condition all over again.
I've never opened any sealed box. I just can't do it. All brand items are a treasure for me.
I feel terrible when I see completely damaged SM items on eBay.

4. How do you display your collection?

I always wrap my collectible items in clear cellophane and then put them into a display cabinet.
All my trading cards have special pocket pages. This took me forever to find all the necessary protective pages.

5. What was the first piece that started the whole thing?

That was a set of SM PP6 trading cards.

6. What is your favorite/most treasured/meaningful piece in your collection?

Gee... I honestly don't know! I have a lot! ;P I love trading cards so my treasured piece will be my nearly complete AMADA card collection.
My favourites are: Holy Grail, Moon Chalice, Star Locket, Uranus & Neptune Henshin Lip Rods, boxed DVD sets released by Toei Animation and complete CD collection.

7. What is your most desired collection piece that has yet to be acquired?

Hm... XD My collection is really extensive now and I don't really need that many items but I think that one day I'd love to have AMADA Film Collection prism set with Super logo.
These cards are incredibly rare. I've seen them only once in last few years. The price was shocking!

8. What is your favorite category (dolls, cels, etc) for collecting from and why?

Definitely TRADING CARDS and SEAL CARDS. XD I have no idea what is the reason but I think that most of them look so pretty and stunning! I wish to have a complete SM card collection. I'm missing only some odds & ends now! I'm getting there! ;P

9. Is there any item/character that you wish had been made into a toy?

I wish there were more official trading cards with lovely shots of Uranus, Neptune, Pluto & Saturn.

10. Where do/did you find most of the items in/for your collection?

Google is your friend! XD

11. What is the greatest length you have gone to for a particular item?

I think that 5th Anniversary 22k gold card... It took me about 6 years to find one in a perfect condition. :D

12. What is the most expensive item in your collection?

My SM card collection is definitely the most expensive. I don't want to even think about all the money that I spent for my trading cards.
I think that set of Uranus & Neptune Lip rods is the most expensive of all RPG toys I've ever seen.

13. What was the best bargain you’ve ever managed to get?

I purchased one Hero 1 WGL card for... ONLY 4 EURO about 3 years ago!!! This card is worth like $100 and up! :P

14. How do you feel about bootlegs?

Generally I don't like any pirated items and I don't collect them. Although some bootlegs may look pretty...

15. Do you have plans to sell your collection in the future?

No! I'm going to take them with me to the other side after my death!!! Haha. ;)

16. Do any of the items in your collection have a neat story behind them?

Not really... or maybe I just don't remember it now.

17. What do your friends/family think of your hobby?

That's a bit tricky. My family and most friends respect my passion but some people that I know think that it's very childish. They still keep saying... GROW UP! ;/

18. Do you collect anything else, or just Sailor Moon related items?

Yes, I do have a few DVD sets or card sets related to other anime series that I like (X Clamp, Yami no Matsuei, Magic Knights Rayearth).

19. What do you think the lowest quality/least desired kind of Sailor Moon item is?

There is one thing that I really hate... ugly faced SM dolls! XD

20. Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I really hope that a new SM season will come out soon! I'm really missing it...
