the photography-orientated posts which is basically just due to fact that I\u2019ve been taking a lot more of recently. Since going over to the dark side of digital photography (hehe) around a year ago I\u2019ve actually got a lot more enjoyment out of it because of being able to instantly see the results and edit things up quickly instead of going through the hassle of getting film developed, and then scanning it in. It\u2019s also a lot cheaper in that respect and being able to take hundreds of photos at no cost certainly allows for a lot more experimentation. So far I\u2019ve been quite please with my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dcresource.com\/reviews\/canon\/powershot_a80-review\/index.shtml\">Canon PowerShot A80<\/a> but it has a number of downsides which are really beginning to annoy me:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Shutter Lag<\/strong> \u2013 when you press the shutter release there is a short pause before the picture is actually taken. This basically rules out any accurate photography of high-speed events because what you\u2019re trying to photograph will have moved before the photo is taken!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Save Speed<\/strong> \u2013 I always take photos on the highest resolution setting and it usually takes another second or so after the above just to save the picture before you can take another. Again this is highly annoying if you\u2019re trying to photograph something unfolding in front of you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Background Noise<\/strong> \u2013 No matter how much I fiddle with the settings I always get a degree of it in my photos which just looks bad when you\u2019re viewing the photo at full resolution on-screen. If anyone has any tips on how to avoid this I would greatly appreciate it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Small Screen<\/strong> \u2013 Although the camera has a cool fold out screen it\u2019s a little to small for my liking. It can be quite difficult to tell if something is properly focused or not sometimes and the colours aren\u2019t as true to life as they perhaps could be.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I guess I shouldn\u2019t complain to much because otherwise it\u2019s very good considering the market it\u2019s aiming at but I do miss using my old fully manual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&amp;q=define%3A+SLR&amp;btnG=Google+Search\">SLR<\/a> sometimes with all my various lenses and other bits.
