The Last Words Meme

This is it. The final curtain. You're at the end of your life, and there's someone here you really, really need to say something to before you die.

CAUSE OF DEATH
1 - Accidental. Nobody meant for this to happen, but it doesn't matter now. Due to negligance, arrogance or just plain bad luck, you've become gravely ill or injured and are now in your last moments. This covers all kinds of accidental deaths--strangulation, drowning, car accidents, unintentional beheadings, whatever you can think of.

2 - Murder. Somebody really didn't like you. Enough to kill you, it seems. You're now dead by someone else's hand. (Maybe even the person replying to you?) As with accidental death, this covers all types of intentional, malicious murder, regardless of method--so poisoning, stabbing, shooting, etc., all work here. Same with all the below options: any possible variation you can think of on it will work!

3 - Suicide. There is no hope for you, and no way out. You've reached the absolute bottom pits of despair, and the only recourse you have is to take your own life. Someone shows up to stop you... but they're too late to help you now.

4 - Terminal illness. You have cancer, or tuberculosis, or cholera back when people got cholera. The doctors have done everything they could and it wasn't enough. The only thing to do now is give your loved ones the bad news.

5 - Starvation. So thirsty. So hungry. Maybe you've been traveling in the desert for hours, or maybe you're just really poor. Whatever the reason, it doesn't matter, because you're slowly wasting away until you're nothing but skin and bones.

6 - Death in battle. You've died a hero's death, and gone out in a blaze of glory. Or maybe you were a coward who got shot for deserting? Either way, you're now a casualty of war. Will you be honored with a parade or scorned as a traitor to your country?

7 - Natural causes. You've lived a long, happy life, and now your story is at an end. In a warm bed, surrounded by your family and friends, you peacefully drift off. Just make sure that you've made a will somewhere, or at least use your deathbed to set the record straight. Otherwise, who knows what kind of squabbles might errupt after you leave this world?

TIME LEFT
1 - A few minutes. You're fading fast and you don't have much, well, any time left. Better tell the person with you that you love -- or despise -- them with your last breath, because you'll never have the chance otherwise.

2 - A few hours. You haven't got much time left. Is there someone you still need to kill? To kiss? Better do it quick. (Note: last kisses not recommended for people dying of highly contagious illnesses.)

3 - A few days. The doctors have given you the news, and it's not very good. You've only got a couple days left to live. You should start trying to make peace with people and saying your final goodbyes with the days you have left.

4 - A few weeks. Take that vacation you've always wanted to go on but never had the chance to. Go do that thing you've never thought you'd be any good at. You've got only weeks left to live. Don't waste them.

5 - A few months. While you aren't quite on death's doorstep yet, your lifespan has still dwindled considerably from what you probably thought it would be. How are you going to spend your last few months on Earth? Making the world a better place and telling your family you love them? Or raising as much hell as possible?

HOW IT WORKS:
1. Using it random.org or a similar site, the first character to post rolls for their cause of death and how long they have left to live. They then post to the meme with their name, canon and the results of their roll. (For example: "Jane Doe | That One Series | 1 2" would mean Jane Doe from That One Series died of accidental causes and has a few hours left to live.)

2. Tell the person what you need to tell them before you bite it.

3. Have fun!

So, as some of you know, I started making Final Destination City in the Sims 3.

I haven't made that many characters just yet, but I thought I would show the ones I have made so far, and... let you know what's happened so far.

This post is pretty long, and really kind of image heavy. Click on any of the image to view full size.

Starting with the household I left off playing yesterday, with Nyx and Char. Originally, the two of them were living with the rest of Green team, but as soon as I went off to play with someone else, the game told me they'd moved out. I tried putting them back in the house with the rest of the team, but each time, whenever I went back somewhere else, they moved out again.

They spend most of their time together shamelessly flirting, or fighting. They shout at each other a lot. This time, right after a fight, they both decided their time would be bettr spent reading.

When I made them, I gave both of them the 'rebellious' trait, and the first thing they would do when I opened their household -- no matter what -- was roll the wish to buy a motorcycle. Eventually I gave in, and bought them both one (Along with the hideous bright green car that Nyx bought herself). Char makes this face the whole time he's riding it, every time.

He's also gotten into drink mixing. Despite the fact that he has 5 ranks in the skill (one more than he has for athletics, which he needs for work), everything he makes is 'foul quality'. He drank all four of the drinks he made, though - spat two of them out, and was nauseous for the rest of the evening.

Nyx, on the other hand, is boring, and has been reading that book since they got home.

Now, going to my other couple - Jake and Rachel. They were giving me quite a lot of trouble yesterday -- I abandoned them for a bit to make Max and move him in, and within the maybe two to three sim hours that I was playing with him, I got a notification that Rachel had been knocked up, and that they'd had a shotgun wedding.

Hell of a start, right?

I qut the game without saving, and hoped that it would just go away, but when I turned it back on and went to their apartment, they were still married. Rachel was no longer pregnant, however. It really just looks like she was sick and panicked.
Either way, I'm very confused.

When I found them today, they were both in a bar, still in uniform.

The military uniform makes all male sims bald, it's a little alarming the first time you see it.

He's soon joined by the rest of Green team, and plays foosball with Green for a bit, while Rhys...

Makes a kind of strange face at a flexing Bulba.

Attractive.

Jake back in his normal, everyday clothes. ....Somehow, it didn't occur to me that having him be athletic, and go into a profession that requires athletics, would make him more muscular. At least. Not... noticeably so.
He's not even really a soldier yet.

And Rachel, back in their apartment, back in her normal clothes.

She left the bar pretty early to play darts(I guess their apartment has a dartboard?) and teach herself the guitar (and a guitar?)

Whenever I tell them to go home, they go to this little garden enclosure thing instead of their apartment.

Anyways, they're mostly kind of boring now that they're not giving me a heart attack. On to Max!

AKA, how Alice learned that sims with muscle definition are FUCKING TERRFYING. I literally have prevented him from going swimming so I don't have to see him shirtless, it's that scary.

He lives in this tiny, shitty little studio apartment behind this building. I'm not sure what the building is, but if it's full of nicer apartments, I might just laugh. Shortly after this screenshot, he gave Sasha a termite he caught and was immediately accused of cheating on his girlfriend that doesn't exist.

Oh well. Max, you confuse me. Red Team!

So, as I've been playing, Sasha has apparently been flirting with half the city - her relationship panel lists three romantic interests - Max, Green, and Master Hand.

Sonny Moe was the only one home when I started playing, watching a cooking show on TV, and apparently disapproving of something.

Vinnie and Sasha were playing tag outside of work when I found them, but as soon as they started talking, they started arguing. Apparently about bottles.

Marie is currently failing school, and has yet to meet anyone outside of Red team -- I guess that happens when you're the only teenager in the city.

Sasha, maybe you should just... stay out of the kitchen for now.

On to Green team! Or... at least, the ones who are still living together.

They used to be living in this huge swank mansion, but when Nyx and Char moved out, the rest of the team moved into the neighboring house, which was.... apparently decorated by someone's rich grandma, judging by the pink grand piano. The whole thing kind of looks like a dollhouse, actually. I would redecorate, but this is way too funny.

Rhys came up here to put away the book in his inventory, and then proceeded to stare at the bookshelf. And... punch it?

Checking out their relationship panels, it seems that Green and Bulba are both interested in Sasha of the Advance Wars variety, and in Green's case, with the other Sasha as well. Rhys, on the other hand, has managed to stay away from romance in general, though he is best friends with his car. They are all friends with their cars.

I couldn't be bothered to get a video, but Bulba is listening to some really, really loud hip hop right there.

Apparently, talking to yourself in the mirror makes you more charismatic. Who knew? Also, Green has had the 'tired' moodlet for hours, despite being fully rested, and I'm a little confused.

And finally, Sasha.

She hasn't done much just yet, aside from apparently flirting with half the city-

- and reading a lot.

But she was invited to a party Master Hand is throwing, so let's see how that goes.

Not very well, apparently. She'd only showed up when Bulba walked up to accuse her of cheating (they're not dating???), and the two of them didn't stop arguing until I interfered to send them downstairs to the bar the Hands apparently have in their basement.

Where Rachel and Max were giving a concert? Neither of them really have any ranks in the instrument they're playing. It's a little bit terrible.

Sasha and Bulba joining in didn't make it any better.

Master hand, your party sucks.

At least Sasha seems happy.

So... yeah, if you want me to add in any of your characters, let me know! Choose a couple traits and a lifetime wish and I'll add them in.

Also, after this, I've disabled most of story progression, but I'll probably be turning at least some of it back on. this thread has a full list of all the things I can change with the story progression mod (It's a pretty long list), so. If you care to, take a look in there, and let me know what FDC should be able to do while I'm not looking.

Hello, SBG! I've got a little analyzing website for you to try out: the GenderAnalyzer.

This website's purpose is to analyze the text on a blog to determine the gender of the person. The creators claim it works well for them, but does it work well for us?

To use this guy, just copy the address of your character's journal (not profile!) and paste it into the box! Then it'll give you a gender and percentage of certainty. However, this site won't work on friends only journals, since it needs a certain amount of text to analyze... It would also probably work best if OOC posts are locked, but that doesn't necessarily mean its judgment will be altered!

So just plug your dudes in and post up the gender and the percentage! We're finding that it's quite the feat to get the website to deem your character manly enough, so even if you've got a female character and it thinks they're a man, well... good job.

Cyrus's party--Weavile. It's a store-bought chocolate cake decorated with iced-over berries. Weavile knows full well that Cyrus doesn't eat cake or chocolate and so gets to eat most of it itself.

My party--Zora the Seismitoad. The cake is made of small lake fish and decorated with bugs. Cyrus politely declines (and possibly runs to be physically ill from the smell).
