I disagree with many of the decisions my government makes.
I am aware that there are people from my country who are loud, rude, intolerant, xenophobic, homophobic, bigoted, and self-centered.
I dislike the President almost to the point of loathing.
I know that there are many things wrong with America.
... but there are also many, many things that are right. I am an American. I pledge allegiance to the Stars and Stripes. I enjoy the freedom of speech that allows me to make statements against my country like the ones above. I make a living by trying to improve the youth of today so that they may be responsible citizens tomorrow. I am married to a man who makes a living by putting himself in harm's way in order to keep that harm from others. We are Americans; we love our country.
