an important poll of extreme significance

Let's assume for a moment that you know someone who's been called for Jury Duty a number of times. Not only have they been called, AND reported faithfully each time, but two of those times they've also been chosen for trials, one of which was a month long and involved a double homicide, and the other of which was an excruciatingly boring trial with lawyers suing lawyers and this person you know was elected the foreman. Foreperson. You know.

So, assuming you know all of this, let's move on to assuming that this person received yet another Jury Duty letter. Except this letter happened to be addressed to their maiden name and was delivered to their parents' house, even though this person is pretty sure they've received other notices that had correct information. The scheduled reporting day also happens to be the same day that this person may have an important event occurring at their place of employment that evening, and even though this person knows they can call and request another day, they don't feel inclined to do that.

Please advise as to what you think this person should do.

Rip that damn paper up, dude. Technically, you didn't get it since it was addressed to the wrong name and wrong house.

Call the courthouse and explain that they are sending two notices to you with two different names. Pray they don't tell you to report anyway and explain it when you get there.
21(27.3%)
Call, request another day, and report as usual. Fill in the change of address on the back of the reporting form and expect to get called for Jury Duty for the next trillion years. You can never have enough civic duty.

RIP. IT. UP.

Completely hypothetical, of course. This would be a ridiculous situation to make a poll for. :|
