Catch that last bus to Moscow.
Fascinating collection of photos on the OMG blog about a Canadian (of course) photo journalist who spent 12 years traveling all across the Soviet Union to take photos of... bus stops.

From OMG; "Canadian photographer Herwig spent over a decade travelling more than 50,000 kilometres across the former Soviet Union, documenting nearly 750 bus stops in countries ranging from Ukraine and Georgia to Kazakhstan and the Baltics."
Just an incredible assortment of structures and architectural variations! At first blush, I had thought the one photo above was of an indigenous person, but on closer examination, I see it is a statue of St. George and he is slaying a dragon. That would track in Russia.

Nary a butt crack in site...
I'm damn proud of myself today; I changed out a leaking kitchen drain!
Before
Been wondering why we had this... swampy, musty smell coming from under the kitchen sink. Took the wall of cleaning supplies out to find that the sink trap and tail pipe were cracked and we had a puddle of... old water... saturating the back of the cabinet. Got it cleaned up and used the plastic pan to catch the dripping until I got to the hardware store this morning.
After
After two hours of work; new sink drain and stand pipe installed and tight as a drum, and the cabinet is DRY. Going to put down some contact paper to make it look a little less... distressed... in a day or so.
And no distractions...
Tomorrow, I get to mow the lawn... ye... haw.
