This summer threw me some curveballs that resulted in a complete life+ lifestyle reset. All will be revealed…in my next book.

In the meanwhile, I’m concentrating heavily on my beauty/lifestyle newsletter Hello Gorgeous! which is geared to women and other beautiful creatures 40+. In just over a year HG! has organically attracted 150k+ unique readers/lurkers/subscribers. Pinch me!

I publish Hello Gorgeous! 5x a week with all original content. Fridays are the weekend roundup which attracts a lot of online interest and visits. I’m also debating launching a section to make it easier to access gift ideas.

• The best eyebrow pencils - Has anything changed in color or formulations? Which are the best and why? And what are some brow trends we’re seeing now? While we’re at it, any new dyes or treatments for grey eyebrows? Any new microblading treatments we should line up for?

• Fall lips - HMU with your new products, colors, formulations!

• At-home haircolor - My readers want to know about new treatments, how to achieve the best results and how to choose a new color

• Everything eyeliner - Any new products we should be aware of? Any colors or application tips we never thought of?

• Chrome everything - Why are we all so crazy for chrome and irridescent products? What are some trending looks and is there a way to add a bit of chrome to your overall look without overdoing it?

• Crossbody bags/totes - Are we really looking at all brown bags for fall? What are some other colors we can choose to add a bit of warmth to our fall look?

• Expert on leggings - I’m only being partially facetious. I’m told that the young ‘uns are moving away from leggings to great big poofy pants. I’m thinking this might not be a Gen X thing and would love to hear from anyone with big thoughts on the topic (or flattering, comfy pants to recommend).

• Socks and tights - Any new colors, fabrics, or trends we should be talking about?

• Hats/scarves/gloves - What are the colors, textures, and trends we should know about?

• Jewelry & jewelry stacks - Are we still all about the stack? (My extremely sparkly earlobes say yes, but I’d like to hear from you!). What are some gemstone and gold trends to be aware of? How can we mix up our metals for winter? Any ring or bracelet trends to know about?

• Crafts - What’s trending in crafts? Any new techniques or kits we should be aware of?

• Culture/pop culture - Please send me your best new books, music, streaming suggestions and lmk if your clients/artists are available for interviews or a comment or two.

• Mattresses - Help me with my guide to the best in bed (as it were). What are people looking for in new mattresses? How much should we be spending? How often should we replace our mattresses?

• Clogs and slippers - Ahhh. Please tell me what’s new in comfort and what’s too hideous to even contemplate. And can we wear them publicly with or without socks?

• Reclaiming your inner minimalist - what do you need to have a functioning home/apartment? How many sets of bedding, how many pots and pans? What are some great products that allow you to splurge without going overboard? I’m interested in things like bathroom towels, kitchen essentials and a few over the top ideas.

Holiday gift guides

I’m really going to try to post these early this year. My HGGs will include:

• Beauty gifts - luxury, cute or quirky, things you’ve always wanted but never bought for yourself, cult beauty. Also including - fragrance, skincare, body.

• Beauty/body gadgets - what are we coveting this year? What are the priciest gadgets, the most affordable, the most collectible?

• Advent calendars - Please send ideas for the best of, most coveted, most expensive, cheap but thoughtful (or the oddest). Also, if you’re an expert with thoughts on why advent calendars are so popular, I’d love to hear your take. I’d also love to hear about how and why they cross boundaries from a formerly religious item to something collectible.

• Host/hostess gifts - how much should we spend if we head over to someone for dinner, a holiday, a week, a weekend? What are some of the best ideas for great gifts?

• Kitchen - This one is for the home chef. All the newest gadgets, tools, pots, pans…you get the idea!

• Bedroom - No sexytime here, but rather things like lovely bedding or quilts, pillows, decor and more.

• Tech - I want to hear about it all. Also, are we still using step trackers?

• The younger set - I don’t often write about kids’ products, but will be offering a gift guide of the best of gifts for kids. I’m especially interested in STEM and STEAM and creative ideas. Clothes are cute too.

I think I mentioned a launch I was working on. That’s been pushed off for a bit due to life kicking my ass in a big way. But it will happen! For that one, I’d love to hear about trends in tech, AI-enabled everything, tech for every age group - particularly kids and seniors, and home safety and home tech.

I’d also be very interested in experts on safety for women online and the ways your apps may be spying on you.
