I'm sure most of my flist do not wish to have their posts/comments crossposted to Facebook and/or Twitter, no? So.

This was originally posted by the wonderful emiliglia. So I'm spreading the love!

As many of you are probably aware, LJ released the option to link your posts/comments to Facebook and/or Twitter, which was probably one of the dumbest things they've ever done since anyone with Twitter seems to already have their LJ friends on it, and then Facebook and LJ are the lines that never, ever cross. Because I, for one, don't need my cousin's 12 year olds to find the mansex I write.

The following line of code, though, doesn't just hide the repost boxes to you like the Greasemonkey code for Firefox going around does. It completely removes the option for everyone viewing your journal or community. I've done it for this comm as well as my personal journal.

1. Go to Journal > Journal Style

2. Go to Customize your theme

3. Go to Custom CSS

4. Copy and paste .b-repost-item {display:none} (make sure you're just getting the bolded text) into the Custom stylesheet

5. Save changes

Now not only can you not crosspost comments, but anyone viewing your account can't either. This doesn't get rid of the reposting option when you're making a new entry, but at least that one's easy to avoid.

And I'm back. For good, hopefully. Waking up at 3AM in the morning and going to bed at 1AM with only two hours of sleep in between is not a good routine when your college is located very, very far away from your house and you're not allowed to drive. Oh, and there's the mountainload of assignments. And seniors yelling at you IN YOUR FACE if you fail/don't perform to their satisfaction.

(if life is a movie, there would be flashbacks. Unpleasant flashbacks.)

In short, I hate College Orientation.

On the brightside, I learned how to sing Gaudeamus Igitur, which is, even under the circumtances, a beautiful song, and it somewhat motivates me to learn latin. Seriously. So, in order to celebrate the end of the period I will never refer fondly to, I decided to splurge on books.

And I read The Hunger Games.

Okay, that book deserves another post. I mean, OHMYGOD, KATNISS. /flails

And, even though I'm like, eleven days late;

To all who celebrates it,
HAPPY RAMADAN!
May Allah forgive our sins and gives us His Bless and Protection.
And I hope all our activities in this month (read: fasting, reading Quran, Tarawihs and Saurs) go well until the end of the month.

Also, here's wishful thinking that the whole 'Building a Mosque around the 9-11 Ground Zero Area' debacle will end in a way that encourages religion tolerance, not ~~islam~~xenophobia and fearmongering. I'm allowed to be hopeful once in a while, am I not?

Watch it. It's pretty and difficult and probably not for everyone's taste, but seriously, watch it. I'm still contemplating my feelings about this movie but it is, practically, the highlight of my current summer movies; tied with Toy Story 3 but you know comparing them would be wrong on so many levels.

This is currently the prettiest trailer of this summer. I've always known that Harry Potter movies have impressive cinematography; but that trailer just took it to a whole new level. I don't know why it never worked so well on me before. Okay, keeping things short: IT WAS AMAZING.

OH. WOW. THAT OPENING SCENE AARRGHH. BATTLE OF HOGWARTS, BATTLE OF HOGWARTS! The Gringgots Escape! Batilda Bagshot/Nagini! Hagrid and Flying Motorcycle! Malfoy and Room of Requirement and Fiendfyre! Glimpses of Ministry takeover! Ollivander, who probably took Luna's, Neville's, and everyone else's screentime but it's okay anyway because there will always be more trailer for the second part! THIS IS ALL VERY INTENSE!

I even loved the Ginny/Harry kiss! I KNOW I KNOW but I adore all those kissing-in-the-middle-of-the-final-battle thing! It's like Will/Elizabeth! But not as awesome, of course. And they look good together! It's not in the book! Who cares? It's pretty!

AND OH MY R/HR OTP OVERLOAD ARGH ARGH. I've never liked how the movies portray them BUT THEM OUTRUNNING THE FIREBALL AND EVERYTHING AND AAGGHH. Can't wait for the locket scene.

And wow, Daniel Radcliffe. Where have you been all this time and how did you get so good-looking? Movie7!Harry is the hottest Harry in the block, y'all.

I watched Toy Story 3.

It was Perfection. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't watched it yet (and seriously, why haven't you?); Pixar, as usual, is amazing, the movie is one of the best (if not the best) ending of a trilogy (well, there's LOTR 3) and just.. a fantastic and well-deserved ending to the movie series I grew up with.

And it's also a golden example of movies that don't rely on 3D spiffiness to compensate for generic storytelling.

Fullmetal Alchemist, chapter 108 (a.k.a. THE LAST CHAPTAH EVAH)

1. D'awwww.

2. Still impressed at the low body count. With all the bloody heart attacks in the last few months, this is very pleasing. Heck, even Scar lives, how about that. I'm really glad they all survived..

3. ..except Hohenheim. And NOT in the way I thought he would go. Oh, Arakawa, just when I thought I had it figured out!

4. Ed sacrificing his alchemy to get Al's body back. I did not see that coming. It should feel like a cop-out. It should feel like a cop-out. BUT IT DIDN'T. When did I turned into this sappy sap that wants everyone to get their happy ending, huh? WHEN??

5. Everyone did get their happy ending. *SIGHS HAPPILY* And yay to Ling and May finally interacting! For (step)siblings, WE NEVER EVEN HAD THEM IN A DIALOGUE BEFORE.

6. Oh, Al/Ed/Winry. *sniffs*

7. I like how even with the ~HAPPILY EVER AFTER~ ending, they're still keeping the atmosphere of 'this is not gonna be easy' on the last pages. Even Grumman (Roy's General friend, now Emperor) visiting Mrs Bradley (who's now raising, well, I don't even know what Selim is right now- Homunculi? Human? What is that thing in his forehead?) feels ominous. And there's the whole complicated thing of war criminals and whatnot.

8. Still don't know what to say about Scar's ending. I've been concluding his arc with his death in my mind for so long that this new ending boggles me.

9. Al learning Alkahestry in Xing = AL/MEI AL/MEI WOOOO!!

Feelings Overload

Man, this week's Glee is Magical! I haven't really been that happy about an episode since the Madonna one! Face it, "Home" was filler, "Bad Reputation" was... all over the place and contains too much Rachel!Hate ( the Run Joey Run video was So Bad It's Good though) and "Laryngitis" was basically "Mash-up"; this time with Puck/Mercedes and less make-outs! ITS LINES ARE EVEN PARALLEL FOR GOD'S SAKE. (I so need to picspam that for picspammy 's Compare and Contrast challenge).

But this episode! SO MUCH FEELINGS.

- RACHEL/JESSE; ST BERRY OR WHATEVER THEY'RE CALLING IT THESE DAYS. No. I was just. The scene with them reuniting in the ballet studio was amazing! And then hugging it out! The chemistry was all over the place! Him not laughing about her dreams AND telling her that Rachel Berry playing three roles in Broadway is not a dream, but an inevitability! ARGH. STOP KILLING ME WITH CUTENESS.

And the revelation! Oh, let's talk about it:

(a) Jesse's not in there to turn the Glee Club's stuff in to Vocal Adrenaline
(b) He's not using Rachel; and what he's doing is somewhat the opposite
(c) He was told to BEFRIEND HER; not seduce her and thus liking her

Yes yes I know he's still wanting to return to VA but but HE DOESN'T WANT RACHEL TO BE HURT AND AAAAARRRGGHH WHY AM I SO INVESTED IN A DOOMED SHIP AGAIN THIS IS LIKE ZUTARA REVISITED AAAARRGGHH NOOO

- I'm not feeling the whole Shelby-is-Rachel's-mother at first because, Predictable much? As if the creators will just throw away the similarities between Idina Menzel and Lea Michele like that. IT'S GLEE. COME ON. But after the duet, I'm sold. I don't know, but it's just SO VERY RACHEL'S MOTHER to imagine a performance like that. And I'm willing to bet a lot that Shelby also uses VA's stage to do impromptu singing times; a la Rachel's Take A Bow in episode 2.

- TINA/ARTIE. Yes, again, it's all about Artie, but Tina is having lines! This is a good progress! And she's interested in tapdancing! The dance in the mall was adorable. Heck, every scene with the couple is adorable. The last song? AUGH. Glee, don't make me interested in love triangles you won't ever visit again! The last shot with Artie singing in the foreground and Mike/Tina dancing in the background is really, really pretty. And emotional.

- Yes, I know NPH is guest-starring. Loved the guy. JUST. Too much feelings right now.

I got accepted by the University of Indonesia. Got the Law major.

It's not every morning you wake up to find out that you got into the university you've been dreaming to get in since you know what the word 'university' means, and the study major you've also been dreaming of.

There was a lot of crying. And hysterical euphoria.

I'm very happy.
