1. During stream, use ` or kt! at the beginning of posts to create timestamp tags.
2. Timestamps are always moved up by a default amount of time to account for delay in typing, posting, etc, but if necessary, you can subtract additional seconds for a specific timestamp by placing them in parentheses at the end like so: "`Some late tag (-20)"
3. If the stream cuts out temporarily, use the "offset" command to subtract additional time from all timestamps going forward from that point. (Without affecting previous ones) This is necessary to keep timestamps synced, since timestamps are counted from the time of stream start and time it spent offline would otherwise not be counted correctly. Example: "`offset 10"
4. When the stream is over, paste the URL for the VOD in the top box, and the URLs for all threads during which that stream took place in the bottom box, each on a new line.
5. If necessary, you can modify the default timestamp offset of 15 seconds as needed, next to the stream URL. Try to find a value that places as many of your timestamps as possible at the correct moment right before whatever you were tagging.
6. Click "Get Tags" and inspect that everything came out as you wanted. If needed, manually edit or remove anything that seems like it doesn't belong, since once it gets pinned on Kiki's comments you aren't going to be able to change it. Be sure to load a few of them to make sure it seems like stuff is actually popping up where it should, and adjust the default offset if needed to try to fix this.
7. Go paste the timestamps from the Youtube box in Kiki's comments for the VOD and pat yourself on the back for doing your part. (Make sure some other champy hasn't already done so first though, that would be totally embarrassing.)
8. (Optional) Go paste the timestamps from the Bread box in the bread if you want for other champys to go admire your work. Separators are inserted every 100 lines so you know where to split up the posts since 4chan doesn't like posts to go over that.
Modifiers:
These commands can be used to modify an existing timestamp post by placing them in a reply to it:
`ignore - The parser will ignore the timestamp in this post. (You can use this if multiple people accidentally overlap their tags so you don't accidentally both delete them and lose the timestamp, or if someone inserts a malicious tag you need to get rid of.)
`edit - Change the text of a timestamp to whatever text is entered after the word "edit". (Separated by a space.) The time will remain the same.
`shift - Move the timestamp forward, replacing its time with the time this is posted.
`notime - Do not include a timestamp and only show the text entered after "notime". (Can be useful for adding annotations or extra info in replies to timestamps.)
`makechapter - Convert the timestamp into a chapter for the seekbar. (See below for more info on these.)
`nochapter - Remove the chapter mark from a timestamp, so that it will no longer appear in the chapter list.
Note that timestamps can also be nested under other timestamps if desired by posting the new ones in reply to the timestamp you want to nest under. These can be used to do things such as grouping related events together. You can continue to nest further in replies to replies to replies and form a humble tree if you really want to but don't feel too obligated to go too crazy with it, I usually don't bother that much with it most of the time beyond the occasional direct reply when it feels warranted.
Chapters:
An additional set of timestamps intended for Kiki's use to add chapters to her video which will show up on the seekbar can be generated using `! or kc! at the beginning of the post. These will appear in both the standard list and a new list that will be added to the end of the Youtube box if any have been added.
Try to use these to section off relevant parts of the stream, rather than focusing on specific moments viewers might want to return to as with normal timestamps. If needed, a | character can be used to specify a different tag for the normal timestamp and the chapter. Example: `!Kiki on the telly!|Zatsu will show "Kiki on the telly!" in the normal timestamp list, and "Zatsu" in the chapter list. These can also be added/modified using the `edit function as expected.
