QuotePad 2.2

QuotePad is an application to easily gather and organize notes and text copied from different sources. In other words, this application will help you keep track of all the copy and paste you do. With some important changes in its latest version, QuotePad remains minimized in your taskbar, completely unobtrusive.

There are two ways of doing so. The long way is to select the desired text (it can be taken from anywhere: a webpage, a PDF file, an MS Word document, etc.), then press the usual Ctrl+C, double-click on the QuotePad icon and paste it there. Even when it may be the most familiar way of doing so, QuotePad will not be able to recognize the clip's source, and will fail to insert that information at the end of the copied text. The second way of doing it is simply to select the desired text and press Ctrl+Shift+Q - QuotePad will immediately pop up with the selected clip, the date and time it was copied, along with a footnote pointing to its source. This will allow you to have complete control over your notes and their sources, especially useful when you are gathering information for a book, an essay, or any other written piece in which you need to cite your sources.

However, this is not all. QuotePad has an incorporated search engine in case you have to find one among the dozens of notes or clips of copied text. Added to that, you can bookmark any of them, and even add a reminder with a set date, time, and sound so that you can be prompted about it later. So, even when QuotePad is a small and discreet application, it will certainly do much more for you than what meets the eye.
