It was an honor to celebrate this year`s Faculty Authors & Artists Celebration last week in the Ammons Gallery at Z. Smith Reynolds Library. Thank you to all who attended!
In partnership with the Humanities Institute, Wake the Arts, ZSR Library, and the Office of Research, Scholarly Inquiry, and Creative Work, we gathered to revitalize an annual tradition and recognize the diverse scholarly and creative works produced by our faculty over the past year and to recognize this year’s Gladding Award Winners.
From published monographs to original art, these achievements continue to advance the intellectual and cultural life of our university and community 🎩✨
Take a look through the highlights from the afternoon, and browse the complete gallery of publications and art features at our Sprout Social Link! You can see featured works on display in the Ammons Gallery through the end of the semester, too 📚
So grateful for a special visit today at #SXSWEDU ☕️
Wake Forest Trustee, alum and proud Wake parent Julie Ann Hartman (‘90) stopped by to say hello and spend some time with us. It meant a lot to connect with a leader who continues to champion the Wake Forest community and all that’s possible when we come together around bold ideas and meaningful impact.
Moments like this remind us what it means to Wake Up to what’s possible.

Our hearts are still full as we enter this week energized and inspired by last Friday`s Arts, Health Care & Humanities in Action Symposium, made possible through the collaborative efforts of Wake the Arts, Wake Forest Humanities Institute, Wake`s Translational Science Center and the Center for Bioethics, Health, & Society, @generationscenterws, @srservicesinc, and @artscouncilwsfc.
🧠🕺 The field of Neuroarts is changing the way we think about that which makes us human, and there is room for everyone in this collective effort. We found the event quite moving, as you can see in the image of Reynolds Professor of Dance Christina Soriano doing what she does so well!
