Prompt Forensics - Coming soon
Because AI is unstoppable, and not enough people know how to use it
Hey folks,
Not many of you know that I’m professionally involved with a lot of AI type stuff in the educational space, particularly STEM education and workforce development.
Among the gaps I’ve noticed, is that adults are struggling with how to use AI, how to engage with it, what to say, and how to get the most out of it.
In fact, the majority of AI users, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, etc., are engaging with these models as if it’s another version of Google. Search term = answers.
However, there’s more to it. Engaging with an AI is an exercise of restructuring your brain. First, we’re all training to provide answers, but that’s ideally what the AI is for. This puts us into the seat of the question-asker. But, since we’ve never been taught to ask really good questions, we’re not using AI to the fullest capacity.
This Substack is dedicated to teaching, evaluating, scoring, restructuring, and re-scoring AI questions and commands = aka “prompts".
Hence the name, Prompt Forensics.
What you can expect here is that we’ll bring a prompt to the table, forensically dissect it, learn along the way, and then we’ll put it back together, but in such a way that you can copy and paste it into your preferred AI, and use it for your purpose, whether that’s business, education, sharing with others, or otherwise.
In the beginning, this Substack will be free for all. Once we hit a certain number of posts, I’ll bring a paywall into the mix - because this stuff is actual work, and that work takes time.
Happy prompting!
~Michael
