Bio

I bought a guy a beer at a Vegas WordPress meetup in 2011 and never looked back.

What followed was twenty years of working inside every corner of this industry. Support shops. Managed hosting. Enterprise clients. Hotel and casino digital teams. Plugin development. I’ve worked for the companies that were supposed to be serving you and I’ve worked for the people who hired them.

That’s not a resume flex. That’s the education that built everything I do now.

I’m the founder of WP Pro Support, born at the Las Vegas WordPress Meetup in 2012. I ran that meetup for over a decade. I co-organized WordCamp Las Vegas. I spent nearly nine years as co-host of WPWatercooler. I built and maintained over 500 client sites at WebDevStudios’ Maintainn. I rebuilt the entire digital presence of a Las Vegas hotel and casino. My name is still in their active stylesheet today.

I now build WordPress plugins and work one on one with site owners who have been burned. Bad developers. Fake support companies. Agencies that promised custom builds and installed a page builder.

I know the game because I played it from both sides.

WordPress Origin Story

A freshman orientation changed everything.

The head of the English department walked in and said if you’re going to be a journalist you need three things. Write the truth. Tell both sides. And have your own blog or nobody will publish you.
I asked myself how do you build a blog.

That question led me to WordPress. Late nights. Hookah smoke. Teaching myself everything I could while everyone else was asleep. I’d learn something new at night and build it the next day at the mortgage company where I had my own office, my own iMac and zero supervision.

I turned a brochure website into a full loan officer assistant. Built the whole thing in WordPress with Gravity Forms handling the application process end to end.

That job was my college. The meetup was my community. WPWatercooler was my voice.
Everything else followed.
