Our Story
When WPCM-TV co-founder Jimmy Young started in 2019, he wanted to take advantage of his 40 years in media as an Emmy Award-winning sports talk show host, producer, and entrepreneur.
After close to one million views of their work on their YouTube channel alone, ProCannabis Media shows that you can take a professional approach to news production and storytelling without an agenda for embellishment. This gives the cannabis industry an opportunity to control their message with the public.
Meet the Co-founder
Jimmy Young is a 40 year veteran of radio, TV, and digital media. An Emmy Award winning talk show host in New England for over 25 years and has taught at the college level for the past 15 years.
After 4 major orthopedic surgeries over the past 24 years, and one more scheduled for January of 2024, Young suffers from chronic pain caused by osteo arthritis and has held a medical card in Massachusetts since 2013.
He is a champion of exposing the injustices in the cannabis world impacting those who were the most negatively impacted by the failed war on drugs.
Jimmy has mentored hundreds of young people during his professional career and during his first company Young Broadcasters of America from 2008-2013 in Massachusetts.
Our Mission
Our founder's mission was to create an army of multimedia journalists who will document the fight to end cannabis prohibition in our world. Through the production of PCM's Weed Talk News show that vision is accomplished weekly. Telling the news stories of the cannabis industry in their own words is the goal of their coverage of cannabis news from coast to coast. Telling the stories of the people in the cannabis industry who are passionate about this plant medicine sharing their passion for the cause of how cannabis can change your life, or even in many cases, save your life!

At WPCM-TV , our co-founders' vision to document the fight to end cannabis prohibition is fulfilled every week when Weed Talk News is released on Friday afternoons with coverage from coast to coast featuring over a dozen journalists from 12 of the 23 legal adult-use states.
We believe that everyone should have access to engaging, factual, and informative content, and we strive to make that a reality every week.
