The one where she starts writing a newsletter ...
This project has been a long time in the making. I want to say, it probably started when I discovered the epic highs and lows of binge-watching TV as a teenager. First, I had Buffy and Angel DVDs I rented via mail. Then I found out I could watch my favourite shows online – if I was willing to expose my laptop to every conceivable computer virus.
My rabbit hole was watching all Gossip Girl, 90210, TVD, Teen Wolf, Awkward, and PLL seasons (among many more) on my tiny netbook before I had any streaming subscriptions.
Rants, recaps and recommendations
But watching TV is only half the fun – talking about it makes the experience complete. Memes exist for a reason.
Fast forward: Past working for BuzzFeed and waking up at 4am on a Monday to watch the latest GoT episode and prepare memes. Past my weekly Riverdale recaps and past freelancing for Netflix – where I never managed to land a job, not for lack of trying.
So after my latest rejection I decided to treat myself to my own little newsletter about all the things Previously On … my watchlist, my social feeds, my playlists, my mind, you name it. Now it’s time to consolidate all my rants, recaps and recommendations into one big DM. (Jk it’s not going to be that big. My attention span lasts a TikTok on 2x speed.)
Instead of sending my friends unhinged midnight messages about Vanderpump Rules, Who TF Did I Marry? or that podcast about the dead ex girlfriend of a football star fallen from grace I’m now also sending them to strangers. Thank you and you’re welcome.
Next on Previously On: Why Veep has become my comfort watch (Spoiler alert: Because it’s way less absurd then *waves around* well … everything)
Allow me to share this gem as today’s outro 😘
