Wegmann has been one of the best scorers in the 2027 class for the last few years, but it was the development of the rest of his game that stood out when we saw the Blazers play CCA. With his size, he has an advantage against most players trying to defend him in terms of height, and he used that to his advantage against the Clippers, showcasing improved vision and a willingness to set his teammates up. His body is really starting to fill out, and his added strength also allows him to bully smaller defenders around the bucket as well as compete hard on the glass on both ends of the floor.

Wegmann had a growth spurt between his freshman and sophomore years, and he took full advantage of the added height, allowing him to score at a much more efficient clip from anywhere on the floor. He averaged 19.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game for the Blazers and posted 48-45-74 shooting splits. He has a great feel for the game and can play on or off the ball.

A skilled wing with great size, Wegmann uses his 6-5 frame to shoot over defenders or take smaller defenders onto the block and score with great footwork and touch. He’s a pure shooter who doesn’t force anything, averaging 19.8 points on 48-45-74 shooting splits to go with 5.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.9 blocks per game.

Wegmann and his teammates from DCBA went into overtime before beating Wisconsin Breakaway . Wegmann’s scoring in the paint and from mid range were instrumental in DCBA ‘s triumph as he put up several points in the OT session. A good athlete with size and skill, Wegmann can attack a defense from different spots on the floor and then utilize his height and athleticism to score. He competes with lots of energy on the glass, and he is constantly pushing himself to make plays on both ends of the floor.
