Have we mentioned Clarkston players and passing yet? Well, Walters is a tremendous decision maker and passer. His best pass might have been when he zipped a feed through traffic and hit a teammate that drew a foul. Walters really stood out to me defensively as well. He frustrated opponents on the perimeter with ball pressure throughout the game.

Walters was terrific in the open gym, a continuation of his solid spring and summer. He was unselfish with the ball, looking to push the pace with the pass up the floor. Walters shot VERY well. I saw 5 catch and shoot triples and am confident that there were more. I liked the way that he used the bounce pass to hit teammates downhill.

Walters is a high quality guard that coaches and scouts will want to see with Oakland Elite 16u. He’s playing some solid basketball this spring and will look to head into high school ball on a hot streak. Walters is a solid shooter off the catch and has a fast first step on a straight line drive.

I’ve always really liked what Walters brings to the table and I think he could end up a great addition to a program at the next level. He can flat out shoot the ball nd is especially dangerous off the catch. Walters has a quick first step when attacking straight line to his right and he’s a solid finisher on that side as well.
