This will allow it to be the first thing your audience will see as soon as they will enter your web page. For this, you have to go to the post’s Public widget,
then click Edit link and finally check “Stick this post to the front page”.
10. Scheduling a post
Maybe you are done writing a really good blog but you don’t want to post it right away maybe its because it’s not the right time eg: your post is about Christmas and you have completed writing 5 days ago, to keep it relevant, you can schedule a post whenever you think the time is suitable. This is also present in publish panel. Click Edit present right next to Publish and it will show several options related to date and time, set the duration according to your feasibility and click ok.
Then a blue box will show “Schedule” button, click that for scheduling of your post.

Using HTML requires a lot of coding and a lot of time. If your deadline is far, then you are good to go but let’s be real that doesn’t happen in the real world and anyway saving a little time is always favorable. All you have to do is use the following shortcuts and WordPress will auto-format it for you. E.g.:
- Ordered list: 1) or 2) and so on
- Unordered list: * or –
- – for horizontal line
- > for blockquotes
- # for h1 tags, ## for h2 tags and so on
- `..` for the code block
Moreover, Ctrl + letters like: C (copy) , b (bold), u (underline) , a (Select all), y (Re do), k (insert/ edit link) etc. Using these shortcuts helps to save a lot of time and efforts so don’t shy away from using them.
12. Increasing your Menu
Like other default features, WordPress also comes with certain things that can be added to menu eg: posts, custom links, categories, and pages. Menus help in navigation and can be accessed through Appearance and then clicking Menu.
Depending on the theme you have opted for and the plugin you have installed you can gain access to other things to add to your menu e.g.: tags and custom post types. For this, go to click Screen options after going to Menu and check those items that you want to display in your menu.
