Link and Hover colors – Time Frame?

Hello again – it’s been about a month since I last heard any information about the time frame for a promised fix to my blog (http://canadianartjunkie.com) re link and hover colors. I realize things are pretty hectic, but I really would appreciate knowing what’s up. Could I please get an update? Thanks. Appreciated.

Just an update to let you know, I’ve submitted the update for review by the theme team. This update will ensure that the custom link colour doesn’t change the colour of the links in the featured slider. :)

Thanks Matty – I’m not sure when / if this means it would be possible for me to change the links. Does it happen the next theme update? Or does it happen on my blog? Sorry if this seems uninformed, but I am not clear. .

No problem. :)
What happens now is, the WordPress.com Theme Review Team will go through the update and make sure all is in working order on their end. From there, the update will be deployed to all blogs using the Delicious Magazine theme on WordPress.com, including yours.
This update will reflect on your blog automatically once deployed, without you needing to make any adjustments in order for the upgrade to show. :)

Right, thanks again. Do we know when this will happen? ie how will I know, do I just keep trying the links colors until they work?

The link colours should be working now, aside from them still adding the colour to the featured slider’s links.
The update should be made available within 24 hours. That’s usually the timeframe from update to deployment. :)
I’ll post back here once the update has been deployed. :)

Hi Matty – Thanks, but unfortunately, when I change the link and hover colors, the slider still changes to the color. I don’t think that’s what was intended. Thanks anyway. I’ll just live with it the way it is. Very disappointing, though. Especially after all these months of waiting.

It looks like you’re running the latest version of the theme on your blog.
Are you working with the link colour options under the “Theme Options” screen?
If you could, perhaps, screenshot what you see on your blog when changing the link colour, I’ll see if we can refine this or if it needs to be escalated to the WordPress.com theme team. :)

Yes, I’m using the theme options, which I understand fully and have been using for quite some time. I just posted for today, and I’m not going to do anything about a screen shot or re-trying the links today. Perhaps tomorrow. I’m not interested in another protracted exploration of what is wrong. It’s simple. The slider text should not change if you enter a link and hover hex number under theme options. I’m not sure what I can add to that.

When you’re ready to test this further, I’d recommend refreshing your browser several times to ensure that the latest CSS is being displayed.

That’s a good idea. I have the latest browser version on my home computer and who knows, when I try it there tonight or tomorrow, perhaps it will work.
