○ Dream is to meet a lot of Pokémon and to make friends.
○ Best friends are Cheren and Bianca. Obviously.
○ Starter was Oshawott, who he chose because she looked unhappy sitting in her ball.
○ Thought Team Plasma's speech was pretty confusing, as he hadn't been a trainer long enough to say for sure whether it was wrong or right, but felt something like shame when meeting N, who battled him to "hear his Pokémon's voices once more" and mentioned after being beaten that he wished to change the world because Pokémon were his friends. Perhaps it wasn't right, and Hilbert almost thought about releasing the Lillipup he had caught before having second thoughts because his dream had been to meet people and Pokémon, right? So why let one guy get to him?
○ He's taken after the events at Dragonspiral Tower and is determined to stop N from destroying the precious relationship between humans and Pokémon, now that he knows the other is serious, and was on his way to the Relic Castle in the Desert Resort.
○ Despite the current events, he still wants to be N's friend, and he wants to convince his friend that what he's doing is going to hurt a ton of people and, while the intention is good and he understands, it's not something you can just decide for the world. there are plenty of Pokémon happy with trainers.
○ He still cares deeply for his team. Nothing changed on that front, though it's probably stronger than ever.

○ Hilbert is rather embarrassed by his first name and will often try to have a nickname - usually a worse name or a shorter version of it - to replace it.
○ He's a natural battler and loves Pokémon to the point that he'll usually keep them out of their balls, much to the chagrin of others. Hilbert thinks he has a pretty balanced team, and works his hardest to keep them fine and fit.
○ Hilbert is a kind-hearted person who wouldn't turn his back on anyone. Because of his terrible name, he finds relief in other's equally horrible names. Too bad there aren't many. He is oblivious when it comes to romantic notions and due to living outside the city has a fine sense of humor and courtesy towards girls.
○ He's never been to the city, having been born and raised in Nuvema Town. So imagine his excitement at Castelia and Nimbasa City!
○ Oh, and Hilbert can sleep through pretty much anything.
