What is CSAS and RSAS?
The Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) and Railway Safety Accreditation Scheme (RSAS) provide a structured framework that enables public and private organisations to work in partnership with the police. These schemes introduce an additional uniformed presence within communities and across the rail network, supporting efforts to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
Once an organisation has been successfully approved, its employees must apply for individual accreditation through their local police force. To obtain accreditation, applicants must undergo vetting, receive approval from the Chief Officer for their operational area, and complete all mandatory training requirements.
