Tomoko Kawakami (Fuyuki) Passes Away

Tomoko Kawakami, Fuyuki's original voice actor, passed away on June 9th at age 41 after a 20 month battle with ovarian cancer.

Kawakami-San played Fuyuki for the first 230 episodes and first 3 movies of the anime before going on sick leave and being replaced by Hōko Kuwashima. She also had roles in Bleach, Pokemon, One Piece, Angelic Layer, and Super Smash Brothers: Brawl and many, many more series, video games, and Japanese dubs.

Since I've seen few episodes beyond the American release of Sgt. Frog, Tomoko Kawakami is still who I hear in my head when I think of Fuyuki speaking Japanese. She brought a wonderful voice to the role, and it's terribly sad to learn that she left us at such a young age.

Keroro Gunso Anime officially ending

(I am VERY surprised that no one has talked about this yet.)

Well, you can see the official Keroro Twitter page here. It has already come and gone, but there was important news on the newest Keroro Land, released on February 9, and they apparently posted online by the official twitter account on the same day.

And apparently the anime is ending as well, at least, for now. And, they have announced the final episodes too.

Final episode of Keroro Gunso, with the old standard half an hour duration, will air on 3/26. Episode is called "Keroro Gunso Historical Strongest Invasion!"

Final Keroro Gunso Otsu episode, a super special ONE HOUR long episode, will air on 3/28. Episode is called "Keroro Gunso Otsu Historical Final Invasion!"

Anyways, There is also a blog entry from Momoka's seiyuu herself about the Anime ending. Check it out here. She's basically just talking about how it's just a "recess" or "vacation" after 7 years to catch breath for the next 10 or 20 years, and says that no one in the staff thinks about it as the end... Although the overall tone of her message seems to be a goodbye, so that might be just her wish, rather than any actual hint that the series will return.

So, to make this all a gist, there is talk that the Anime is: officially ending for good and it will never come back, it's taking an 'undefined' hiatus, and that they'll be creating new stuff and will be back next year, or that the hiatus will be extremely long possibly. But, all contemplation. But, what is NOT contemplation is that it is ending for now. So, who knows if it is going to come back? It might be ending for good. It might not be. We can't know for sure.

But honestly - I can't be too sad. Honestly, I just can't be. There has been no announcement (and now probably never going to be) for a new movie this year and the Anime has been going downhill for literally years now. I mean, really. I want to be sad, I truly do, but now I am just kind of neutral about it all. I honestly don't really like the Anime now, but since it's more than likely ending for good I should pay my respects and watch the final episodes. I mean, I did have a REALLY good run with the Anime. I was so obsessed with it in the past it was insane. But, oh well. All good things must come to an end I guess, right? But, at least they're finally (?) putting a wounding animal to rest. It's sad, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. I am sorry, but, like I said I am just neutral about it now. Meh.

However, I want to make an EXTREME NOTES here. If any of you find any more information about this, don't hesitate to post it in the comments and tell us. As well, the Manga is still going to be running. Don't worry. It is official that Yoshizaki is still continuing the Manga, but the Anime is either taking a hiatus or ending for good. I wanted to reiterate that.

The base even has detail! Although due to the design it's a little ubalanced and doesn't like to stay up on its own.

This one is super fun. They're two seperate figures but they fit together to form the full scene.

The set included one of the members with each of the figures that combine into one full figure. Kururu has a little bit of trouble staying up.

I can't locate the Keroballs that the set was distrubted in, but instead I'll include these four heads.

Why, hello AGAIN everyone! :D
Okay, so here is the deal. Well, I put up the last post because I thought the English Subs for this movie would take a seriously long time [on average it takes at least a month to fully complete an entire movie when you have other things to do]. And it turns out, someone from YouTube named "hermerlene" has graciously put in literal all-nighters to bring us the first ever ENGLISH SUBS for this movie. So, if you have a YouTube account, go now and thank this person right now. At least, it's the right thing to do. I just did 8D
