support for utf8mb4

since WordPress 4.2, the default charset is utf8mb4 but hyperDB doesn't support it "for security reason"

these limitation seems to be meant as a restriction to latin and utf8 charset class, as utf8mb4 didn't really exists when hyperDB was born.

can anyone confirm that utf8mb4 is safe with hyperdb ?

(a few forks removing these restriction already exists)
