Sure enough, it starts simple in the first few levels of the game. You only fit 3 pieces to form a figure. But by the 6th level, the puzzle gets more challenging with 4 pieces. As the level gets harder, you’ll likely go through the trial and error of putting pieces together.

I particularly had a hard time with level 32 and 34. I genuinely thought the pieces could not possibly fit. But I was able to finish it. I completed all 50 levels in a little over 20 minutes. With practice, I think I could be faster. Great thinking game for kids and adults.

In many respects, Blocky resembles tangrams and other vintage puzzle games. Your goal is to fill out a specific shape with puzzle pieces without any gaps. It might even seem easier than tangrams since the shapes are made of squares. But there’s a catch; you cannot rotate pieces. Each piece has a designated space to fill to solve the puzzle. Be warned: some of the shapes are quite deceptive in their placement.

Blocky is an easygoing going alternative to classic puzzle games. It has neither a timer nor a scoreboard, so you can take your time solving each level. The game’s main selling point (and drawback) is its simplicity. Even if a puzzle seems complex at first, you can often solve it with a little trial and error.
