There are numerous reasons to leave Substack, which have been detailed by writers like Paris Marx, James Dyke and Molly White, in whose footsteps I follow. My own reasons include a simple desire for some quietude and a rumour that Substack was no longer going to promote publications like Planet: Critical that refuse to employ paywalls.
