Placeme supports usage in the United States and Canada. Although the app has not been tested in other countries, we encourage you to try it out and tell us what you think. Several users in the UK, New Zealand and Australia have reported impressive results!
Placeme is a great alternative to mobile apps that require you to tediously check in like Foursquare, Facebook, Path, or Yelp.
Please note that there are four Android devices that are known to perform poorly when running Placeme beta6.
They are:
- Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G (model SPH-D700)
- Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate (model SCH-I500)
- Motorola Droid Razr
- Motorola Razr Maxx
- Motorola Atrix
These devices will exhibit poor battery life. If you choose to run Placeme for android on these devices, please understand that this issue exists.
We do not host Placeme on our servers. We did not scan it for viruses, adware, spyware or other type of malware. This app is hosted by Google and passed their terms and conditions to be listed there. We recommend caution when installing it.
