Today...
I have the Undergraduate Research Conference today. Very nerve wrecking. There are three prizes in my group, $700, $500 and $250. There are three people participating in my group. So if they do not change the rules, I should be able to walk out with at least $250, which isn't bad since I have to get up extra early for this (I don't have class today until 2 PM) and have to stand around for 4 hours.
Other then that, James and I were going to set up regular date nights each week, and the day was going to be Wednesday. We planned to see the movie 300 finally, but guess what? The local theatres no longer have it, and we would have to drive to the next town, half an hour away, to se it. No biggie, except I also remembered it was my sisters birthday, but since the movie is only shown at 7 and 9 pm, I figured I could visit her after class and we could still make it to the movie. That is, until James informed me he has a meeting at 8 PM. I suggested moving the date night to Thursday and he wanted to keep it, but our plan was to see a movie, not sure what else we could do? It also sucks because I believe they change what is showing at the movies tomorrow, so we may have to wait and rent 300. Sucks.
I guess I better start to get ready. I really do not want to go to the conference. It is going to be boring, but I could win money, so it is worth it. Plus, my advisor thinks it will be a good experience. I just wish I could do the presentation part, but I didn't qualify. I prefer public speaking over poster presentations because I am a freak of natuer who actually enjoys public speaking.
