What a great day...
Today was wonderful and I thought I would share. I am still in Maryland, on his dad's computer, and they are currently working. I was asleep before James got back to the hotel, but woke up when him and his dad came in. He was sweet and kissed and cuddled with me. I woke up before them, since I went to bed way earlier, so I showered and went shopping. James called and I thought he wanted me to go back to the hotel, he thought he was meeting me at the shopping center to eat lunch So we missed each other. On my way back to the mall, I accidently got on the interstate and tried getting turned around, and sort of got lost. It was scary being lost in a strange city, but I found my way back pretty quickly. They ate at a place called Potbelly's, but I had to pass (the name cries out heart diesease afterall!) and went to the healthy Robek's next door. I got a yummy Pomegranate smoothie and had a chicken salad.
After that, we decided to check out the downtown area. We drove through it, saw a bit of the historical buildings, and headed toward the bridge over the bay. The bay was so beautiful from the bridge, at one point, the sky and water seemed to blend together to make it seem like the sky never ended. The first bridge is very long, takes you to an island. Then the second bridge takes you to Maryland's Eastern shore where wewent shopping. James was patient while I tried on some dresses and kept offering to buy them for me. They were not cheap by any means. This place had very expensive stores. One dress I really liked was clearanced...to $175. We also went to the mall, visited Nordstroms, and he wanted to buy me stuff there too. I teased that he is spoiling me and he said that was what he liked to do. He really does like to go all out. I am very lucky to have him.
We also went to the beach, and even though it was cold, I collected some sea shells. It was really cool, you could see the huge bridge that we went over. I wish I would have taken the camera, but I left it at the hotel because I thought it was in my purse, and it wasn't :( We have it in our heads though, and James says he prefers it that way, it makes it more special between the two of us.
It just sucks sharing a hotel room with his dad if you know what I mean...;)
Well, I need to shower tonight since we will be getting up early and heading back. We are planning on making the trip in one day. ALl the way from Maryland to Missouri. Should be fun :)
