Sorry, I have been gone again. Busy times. I wanted to do a Day in the life post for St. Pats, since my school makes such a HUGE deal about it, but I could not find our camera. We found it now, but it is too late.

St. Pats is super crazy here. I mean, we get two days off every year just for St. Pats celebration, we have a St. Pats parade (this year, it lasted around 2 hours, and we had the Clydesdales!, so a pretty big deal for a small town). We have snake invasion the week before, which means sections of campus are marked off. We have St. Pats reps (also know as Green reps) who are the ones who spend the year planning for the celebration and selling sweatshirts and stuff, it is a 3 year organization where you wear a green jacket all the time, similar to IFC if you are familiar with them) People make walking sticks and cidgels (small trees that they carve and carry around that week), and the green reps have plastic snakes in the sections off areas, and the people with the sticks go in and "kill" the snakes, while chanting about how they love St. Pats, they hate snakes, and when asked what makes the grass grow green, they yell "blood, blood, blood", Very strange indeed, and it is all over campus. Our school refers to St. Pat as the patron Saint of Engineering and we have a statue of him in the library, so people make a big deal out of it.

Other then that, the next Day in the Life day is next Sunday I believe. That is supposed to be the first day we head out to South Carolina, so that could be an interesting one too. Anyone good with graphic design? I have an idea, I want to make my layout be like the road map from my town to where we are going, and include pictures from the locations as spots on the map. For instance, take some pics of Rolla before we leave, put them where Rolla would be, and Atlanta pics where Atlanta would be. Not have the layout overwhelm the pics, just sort of organize them if that makes sense. Not sure this is even possible, especially since I no longer have photoshop, and also because I may not have time for it. I have my undergraduate research paper due on April 2nd and have to compile all of that in the next 2 weeks, and my survey results cannot even be compiled until March 24th since that is the last day for students to fill it out.

Well, I have to go grab some food to eat, catch up on some reading for class, work on some finance homework and all that stuff before heading to chapter tonight. Hope everyone had a safe St. Pats!
