Randomness because work is boring me to tears
Did you know that there's an apartment community in Spokane, WA named Whimsical Pig? I discovered it yesterday while doing some market research at work.
Who wouldn't want to live somewhere called Whimsical Pig? And where did that name even come from?
That made my work day yesterday. Sad, huh?
Though I recently received a handwritten thank you note from a girl named Deana. She took it upon herself to thank my company, in a 6 year old's handwriting, for the donation of art supplies we sent them for activities. We also got photos that I will include in the company brochure I'm putting together. That is just so sweet and adorable.
What else is interesting? Not too much.
java_fiend came over and we made dinner last night. I don't like most meat other than bacon and seafood, which makes feeding me hard as I try to give up grains for a bit. I found a recipe for bacon wrapped chicken and I figured it could be good? It sure beats chicken alone (yes, I'm a freak, I don't even like chicken).
It came out yummy. I had leftovers for lunch. Bacon does indeed make everything better.
We watched Survivor and Criminal Minds as usual :)
What else? I haven't been on a computer outside of work in weeks. I'm not even kidding. I use my phone for everything even when my laptop is right there. I'm behind on sending photos to my mom and stuff because of this, but I come home, walk Annabelle and exercise either through walking her or strength training.
Oh I also had a piece of salted caramel ding dong cake that Kevin's sister sent over. Shhhh.... I'm good every other day ;)
This weekend, we discussed using a Groupon I have (that expires soon) and going up the chair lifts at Mt. Baldy. It covers $20 in lunch at the top too. So maybe there will be photos to share!
Therapy went well. I have no deep issues we had to discuss, so we talked about the transition of Kevin moving in and it sounds like we are on the right track. We just need to pick a date (sometime in the next couple months, around the end of the year). So that's exciting. Not to mention, the holiday season is here and I love the holidays.
Christmas music delights this agnostic like you wouldn't believe. I song Christmas music in my head year round. Nothing like singing "Let it Snow!" In the middle of a California heat spell. I love the religious songs too, blame my Catholic upbringing and singing in all the choirs as a kid.
So what's new?
Today? Well today is boring. Yesterday at work was too. Today though, I was woken up by thunder which delighted me, but driving in the rain isn't fun. Not because I can't handle the drizzle, but because rain makes everyone freak out and drive 2 mph. Since it rains so little here, I forgot that and walked in a minute late to work.
Only to be reprimanded in a very stern email from the boss about adjusting my schedule to accommodate the weather. I walked in at 8:01. He usually walks in at 8:03 himself, after I've started work.
High strung much? Maybe a tad. The other girl was 15 minutes late, so likely it was more about her, but I felt pretty annoyed to be talked to like that when normally, I'm here before he is.
Whatever. I'll roll my eyes and ignore it. He will apologize later and explain that he's not sure how he became so high strung and promise he's not really like that outside of work.
Well I better get back to beating my head against the wall... Errr I mean the tedious work ahead of me ;)
It's almost Friday. Anyone have anything interesting to share? Entertain me?
(I can't watch videos on my phone at work, but everything else is fine).
