Okay, I read a bit and commented a bit too. I'm less grumpy. I have a headache and tight shoulders, I need a massage or some serious pampering. Not that I've ever had a massage to know what it's like....

But there's vacation next week! While it'll be fun, we will either be sleeping outside on the ground (camping) which sounds like sooooi much fun or sleeping at my niece's messy apartment which still won't be the most comfortable place. So relaxing? We will fit it in where we can.

But some good things. I've managed to go almost two weeks without any junk food. My detox has been a success. No sugar, no refined carbs, nothing bad. All healthy food. Mostly spinach protein smoothies, but even over the weekend we traded burgers and fries for grilled chicken and veggies. I feel good about that.

I've exercised almost every day too. Like really exercised. My muscles ache from the strength training, but I already feel a hint of muscle coming through on my thighs. I feel stronger.

And I've lost 3 pounds. Which I'm likely to gain back while on vacation eating all the food I've missed.

Food like.... Chicago style pizza on Saturday, then in St. Louis.... St. Louis style pizza, toasted ravioli, Steak 'n Shake chili and cheese fries, famous Ted Drewes frozen custard and Slice of Pie.

Not to mention my crazy birthday dinner on Monday :)

But it'll be okay. I've proven I can live a healthy lifestyle and I'll return to this once I'm back. I don't get a chance to eat my favorites often. Plus during the time I'm there when I'm not eating special food, I'll eat healthy. And we may try to hike a bit for exercise. The City Museum is exercise ( I'd be so skinny if I could go every day with climbing around everywhere). There may be some time I can swim laps at a pool while my family swims too. So not all is lost!

I'm just ready to be on that plane....

I really do miss my home and all the food and all the stuff to see. It'll be nice.
