I needed to step away from work for a second, I have a headache and thought I'd post something that made me happy. Things have been going good over here. Ive been busy, but it's a good busy.

I've been contemplating joining my local political party and volunteering. I love politics and it's something I've considered doing before, including running for office one day. I don't agree with everything about one particular party, but it's obvious where I fit in (and no, I still won't discuss politics online). Learning about the political system and meeting people could be good. Plus it goes along with my desire to volunteer.

I'm trying to keep my happiness project goals in mind and strive for finding ways to improve those areas. This could fit.

I've worked out every night (well the last two nights), and my muscles are sore today. So there is that going for me.

I found sewing classes offered by the local community college (which happens to have one of the best fashion programs in the state). It's a non-degree class and once I have Kevin here to help with Annabelle two nights a week, I think I'll take the class and see where it takes me. I came across it on accident just as I put my desire to learn how to make clothes out into the universe. The program is brand new starting next week.

Coincidence? Likely. But it's awesome how these things work out. You find what you're looking for once you decide what it is you're looking for.

The writing part? I submitted a story to a contest last week, but that's about it. I need to outline and create my novel and start on that. I may seek out brainstorming ideas. I've never written a novel before and coming up with all the complex story lines and characters seeks daunting... But it's what I want to do and I'm going to outline it out and seek help to make it great and we will see where it goes from there.

I should get back to work. Replies to comments will come soon. I'm just enjoying feeling motivated and stepping away from the computer a bit. I'll chunk out some time for replies soon. I've been reading/commenting from my phone but responding to my own comments seem to be easier on a computer because how the app is set up.

To end on a happy note, how about a picture? This is from the Griffith Park Observatory. See the Hollywood sign in the background? Barely? It wouldn't show up in photos even as it wasn't that far away. It looks to be a billion light years away which is odd...

But I love this photo of us. It shows us being happy. I usually hate my smile but I love it here. Why? Because it really shows my happiness and it's real and bursting out from me. Things with java_fiend couldn't be better right now. We have had fun and adventures and it's just been amazing. I think it shows here.
