pimsync v0.4.1 release notes

I have recently tagged a v0.4.1 release of pimsync.
I first tagged v0.4.0, but quickly noticed that Makefile had a bug where trying to compile pimsync tried to build the entire documentation website. This last process has a few extra dependencies, and most people don’t want the website, just the program itself. v0.4.1 amends this issue, but is otherwise identical to v0.4.0.
From the changelog for v0.4.0:
Implement a new on_delete directive to protect collections from deletion.

pimsync: a successor to vdirsyncer

I previously posted about alpha and beta releases of the upcoming vdirsyncer rewrite. My intention was to call this re-implementation “vdirsyncer v2”.
I have since renamed this rewrite to pimsync. The main reasons for renaming are to better disambiguate between the previous project and this project, especially when in the context of issues, tutorials, and discussions in general.
Which one to choose pimsync is still missing some features from vdirsyncer, so the former is not yet deprecated.

I have recently tagged a v0.2.0 release of pimsync. From the changelog:
Attempt to use the provided URL before doing service discovery. If the URL provided in the configuration file is a valid context URL for a DAV server, discovery is skipped entirely. Fixed some erroneous handling of percent-encoded characters in URLs. Prompt early for all required credentials. This speeds up start-up, since there’s no network IO between prompts. Several documentation improvements.

Vdirsyncer 2.0.0-beta0 release

I’ve tagged a beta release of the vdirsyncer v2. I believe that most usages that can lead to data loss have been properly addressed. By tagging this beta, I expect to gather from feedback from usage by others.
As always, please do back up your data, especially during the initial configuration.
Documentation The biggest flaw right now is a strong lack of documentation. A migration guide is still available for users of v1, but nothing else.

Vdirsyncer 2.0.0-alpha0 release notes

I’ve just tagged a first alpha version of the vdirsyncer rewrite. This is an EXPERIMENTAL VERSION, and has several missing features. It likely has bugs too, so I appreciate anyone willing to test this and report bugs.
Keep in mind that as an early version, this MAY have bugs that result in data loss. Ensure that you keep frequent backups. If you are unwilling to help report bugs, please wait for a stable release.
