This is incredibly long, so I put it behind a cut.
I got up at 4:05 A.M. this morning, got ready, and left at 5:15 with my dad to go on a Balloon ride. We were told to be there at 5:20, and we got there on time. We waited until about 5:40 with the other people. Then the balloon guys showed up and sent off a little black balloon (like a normal one you'd blow up). Apparently there were winds of 45 mph up a few hundred feet, so they cancelled it. And all I got was a doughnut. So I went back to bed when we got home, and slept another 3 hours. I went to bed at 11:15 P.M., so I hadn't had much sleep when I got up at 4:05, and I kept waking up because I was worried I wouldn't wake up with my alarm. Gah. All for nothing. >.<
I missed Stargate yesterday. I forgot all about it. I remembered a few minutes after the episode ended. I have a great memory sometimes.
Well, I got a paid account today...but now I feel kind of sad like I wasted my money. lmao. All I really wanted was room for more user pics. Oh, well.
I watched the Gold Discovery Days parade this morning with my mother and father. My brother, John, drove a golf cart in it. It was extremely boring, and there were huge gaps. I did get some candy, though, so it's all good.
I went to the library today. I gathered up my laptop and junk because I was going to work on my writing there (since I am way too distracted at home). I got there...and it was closed. Because of Gold Discovery Days. So all I got to do was drop off a book.
My mom and I went to the "Festival in the Park" (which is apart of Gold Discovery Days). It was mostly boring. However, I did buy this funny little plant. It's called a Bromeliad. It grows on air and humidity. I think I'm going to give it to Laura for her birthday or Christmas. The last plant she tried to grow in her room died, so I figure this thing would help her confidence. I might end up keeping it though, because when we left and started walking home, I felt rather sad that I didn't buy one for myself. *sigh*
