I have seen perhaps 3 episodes of Extras. It was a complete accident. I was flipping through the HBO channels and came across it. It looked interesting, and I watched. Sadly, the cable company has now taken away most of the HBO channels and left me with one. It is a very mysterious channel. There is no way to ever know what is on it as there is no guide (internet or otherwise) that includes it in the listings. It is all very sad. And it means no more Extras.
So, on a whim I decided to see if it was available on the internet for purchase. Amazon and B&N were a no-go. But then inspiration struck, and I checked Amazon.co.uk, and low-and-behold...there it was -- or at least a DVD pack of 6 episodes for £11. Hypothetically speaking if I were to shell out $20 for six episodes (plus tax, etc.), and for some reason if they were willing to send it all the way to the U.S., it would be Region 2 and therefore a complete waste of time and money.
Which brings me to another point. Why the different regions? Why not make one universal format that is used everywhere in the world? It would be so much easier.
ETA: I love this new automatic save draft thing. I posted this, and lj went crazy, and it didn't work, and multiple expletives sounded in my mind, but I went to "update" again, and I restored it. Sweeet.
