As a preschool teacher I love holistic learning activities that combine lots of different skills and learning opportunities into one activity. Use them as part of your circle time activities, encouraging children to come up and hold a puppet while they act out the song. The kids will love joining in counting the sides and corners of shapes, and singing along with the fun songs.

Print the 2D Shape Puppets
This set of free printable shape puppets includes 12 different shapes – circle, square, rectangle, triangle, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, oval, diamond (rhombus), trapezoid, star, and heart.
Each shape is ready to be printed, cut out and attached to a craft stick, or add a velcro dot to the back to use then with a felt board.
This printable is an A4 sized pdf file, you will need a pdf reader such as adobe acrobat to open it. It will fit to print on US ‘letter sized’ paper, just be sure to select ‘fit’ or ‘shrink to fit’ from your printer options to allow for printer margins.
