Icon Coloring Tutorial #1
My first icon tutorial. Enjoy. From this: 
to this: 
1) Start with a base image. You can practice with this one:
2) Duplicate the base layer. Set the duplicate layer to Soft Light.
3)New Adjustment Layer > Levels.
RGB: 0, 1.65, 200
Red: 0, 1.10, 255
Green: 0, 1.20, 255
Blue: 0, 1.35, 255
4) Add New Adjustment Layer > Color Balance.
Midtones: -100, -100, -40
Shadows: -100, -30, +20
Highlights: +15, -10, -5
5) Add New Adjustment Layer > Brightness/Contrast. Leave Brightness as is. Change Contrast to +12.
6) Add New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation. Change Master Settings to Hue: +11, Saturation: -9, Lightness: 0.
7) Add New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color. Change Blacks Settings to Cyan: -43, Magenta: -30, Yellow: -27, Black: 0.
8) And there you have it! Add text or brushes or whatever you like.
