It just makes me so happy. That is a constant refrain in my favorite Arashi songs (and ... Arashi in general), but it's also constantly true. I have a grocery bag with Arashi pictures on it that says 'vivid unique feeling good' and I have NO REGRETS.

Just so pretty, and easy listening in a complimentary way, like I could listen to it on repeat for ages and not get sick of it.

This was my number one for a long time, and it still is on some days. Ohno's songs often have a certain feeling to them... but my heart says THIS one does it absolutely perfectly, and no others (of the ~Ohno solo type~) can match it.

So to beat Song for me it takes an Ohno solo that is a departure from that type, and this song is IT for me. It's happy, it's beautiful, it gives Ohno's fabulous voice a challenge and a workout, and I adore it.

It's just so very Jun, and he put so much personality into it. Listening to it makes me smile and love him so much.

This song does things to me in the best way. I have to swoon a little bit every time I listen to it, and a large part of that is how it utilizes Jun's voice in such a great way.

Yeah, this was definitely my favorite for a while~ It's epic. It's perfect.

I don't know what it is about this song! I think it's another song that's just so JUN to me, and puts together so many things I love about him. It's so catchy and happy and JUN and I love it.

I loved this song from the first time I listened to it. And then Jun performed it and it went from love to FAVORITE. I always dance when I listen to it, no matter where I am, and it makes me so freaking happy.

This song makes me smile and wheeze embarrassingly over Nino. I want it to be in the form of a stuffed animal so I can squeeze it.

This song might be higher up if I could listen to it more often, but it's so many steamroller-relentless FEELINGS. But it's beautiful, and it always makes me wallow around in my utter love of Nino's exactly-Nino voice.

Konseki
他の人を愛しても　他の人でしかありません

If I listen to Niji rarely because of feelings, I almost never listen to Konseki. It is fucking brutal. I ADORE IT. I ugly-cry over this song, and though I don't regret it (ever), it's not something I do to myself all that often.

Doko ni demo Aru Uta
ほら、息を吸って吐いて　生きている
一歩一歩歩いている　ただそれだけでいい

I can't believe I'm putting this song at number two..................... This song is like the same quantity of feelings as numbers three and four, except I want to listen to it constantly and cry healing tears of joy and gratitude. One of my hardest concert cries ever was my first time watching Nino perform this, and it felt so goddamn good.

夢中で　そう夢中で　あの素敵な　笑顔に会いたくて

This song destroys me with love, so it had to be number one. From the first notes to the last, I adore it, and it's one of the songs I most love singing along to. I consider it a treasure, and one I will keep forever.

The above list for Nino trends a little sadder than my heart actually does, and I waffled a lot over whether to include songs like MUSIC and 1992*4##111, to pull it back in a more accurate direction, but these individual songs are TRUE and ACCURATE in their ranking as of right now, so, Nino: 1. Weekly-ish Arashi watching!

Here are some caps of Arashi things I've watched in the last week(-ish)!

In watching order, roughly, and just whatever caps I happened to take. The unfinished ones at the bottom are ones I'm still in the middle of watching. <3 (I am really not very good at watching things straight through, even when I adore the thing. It gets so I watch things over several days sometimes, but it works for me.)

ARASHI.

Leader just seems like he's having so much fun sometimes. I love that sparkle in his eyes.

I would watch a weekly show where Nino interviews lady guests and sighs over the reasons they're dating people other than him. It could become a non-scandal way to announce that you're dating someone; go get interviewed by Nino and have him whine amazingly for you.

To create a storm throughout the world, send two little weirdos off into the countryside to befriend old people, with cameras. I mean, I feel like Mago, and stuff like Mago, HAS to have been a significant factor in how big Arashi became... I just, Mago, to me, more than any other show, just shows with every minute of every episode that these are five likable, kind, charming people who will do any work they're given with enthusiasm (if sometimes also complaining esp. by one Ninomiya).

... Wait, what I meant to discuss was how close they're standing to each other and the look in their eyes. YEESH, FEELINGS.

Ohno is a dork and Nino has to laugh so hard that he laughs, hard, and then takes a breath just so he can laugh harder.

Some of them are here for multiple reasons, like this one with Nino's excellent face and complaining about horse poop, but any cap with Nino in a tank top is going to be here at least 51% because Nino is in a tank top and I am weak to his arms and related areas.

OHNO IS REALLY PROUD OF HIMSELF FOR HIS FIRST CHOP THROUGH CABBAGE.

I have a lot of feelings about Mago. I have a lot of feelings about our five hardworking idols going and helping elderly people out, people who've worked really fucking hard all their lives (pretty much without exception?), and these two strangers come and be their grandkids and pay attention to them and their work and take it seriously and learn about it, but also act like real grandkids and tease them and lie around on the floor and drink with them, and then they also make a FUSS over these old couples, ask them stories about their lives and relationships and draw them out............... I JUST. I JUST HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT MAGO!

I loved that Nino reacts so strongly to what seemed, to me, to be an obvious question (whether Nino wanted to try driving the horse-drawn trolley) and THEN he doesn't get the horse to move EVEN ONE STEP.

Sometimes my mind just splutters helplessly over how beautiful Aiba is, GOSH.

Arafes 2013 Wish List

After thinking about it a lot, I made my top ten lists as discussed in my last post! Before I start, here is a knock on wood that there IS an Arafes 2013, and here is another that there is ALSO a dvd of it. Sometimes it feels like wanting things too much leads to them not happening, so I will also stop here and take a breath and calm down a little and remember I don't actually have any control over these things. :D

OKAY HERE WE GO, ENOUGH PRETENDING TO BE OBJECTIVE.

10. Story

The chorus to this is good, but the verses are what really makes it great. I could see this song getting really great choreography (LEADER, DO IT) and some cool lighting.

9. Ever

I just love this song. I am imagining that maybe (MAYBE) it could be one of the songs Arashi choose, a medium tempo song that they do after talking for a while like Sketch and Kiss Kara Hajimeyo and such. It has such lovely solo lines AND such lovely harmonies, I just want to roll around in them performing this.

8. Once Again

I have loved this song since the first time I heard it. I haven't watched any fancams of Dream A Live yet, but apparently (UNSURPRISINGLY) the performances of this were amazing. I WANT ONE. I WANT ONE ON DVD.

7. Life

This song gives me a lot of feelings. Since I got into Arashi in 2009, when they already had so very many songs, I got into them in stages as I absorbed as many as I could at once. This was in my first stage of listening and it holds a special place in my heart. Since it was in my first stage, before I'd seen a concert or anything, I didn't know that it hadn't been performed, so part of me is still confused that it doesn't exist?? :D PLEASE FIX THIS FOR ME, ARASHI.

6. Move Your Body

I want to see 2013 Arashi doing this choreography, and I want to see it ON DVD, PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

5. Carry On

The solo lines, the atmosphere, the way their voices come together, the part where the whole song comes together and floods my heart with emotions, I would really like to see Arashi perform this song, yes.

4. All Right!!

SURELY THEY WILL PERFORM THIS SONG, RIGHT?? It is so perfect for performing in concert! It will (POSITIVE WAVES, WILL) BE SO MUCH FUN.

3. Runaway Train

THIS SONG JUST MAKES ME SO HAPPY. I don't even know, it's like it just plays right into my heart. I can picture them zooming around the dome and bouncing up and down, and then it'll get to Sho's rap and I will cry tears of joy, that is my plan should Runaway Train come to pass on an Arafes dvd!!

2. Boom Boom

How much fun would this be performed?? SO MUCH FUN. What a good song, seriously. I am always singing along to this foolishly in my car, but I would like to sing along to this foolishly to my ARAFES 2013 DVD. (Please choreograph this one, too, Leader!!)

Ahhh, this would be so fun done now! It was so fun done THEN, but now!! IF THERE IS ANY JUN/NINO REFERENCE TO THE JUN/NINO GLORY FROM THIS SONG IN IZA NOW, PROBABLY I WILL EXPLODE.

8. Subarashiki Sekai

IT IS TIME. I AM READY. DO IT AGAIN.

7. Wow!!

What did Aiba call this? Wow!!-senpai?? I WANT THEM RUNNING AROUND THE STAGES LIKE WILD PEOPLE AND SCREAMING OUT THE LINES, AND IMAGINE SHO JUMPING UP AND DOWN VIGOROUSLY AND EVERYONE RAPPING INTO THEIR MICS WITH THEIR FACES, BOUNCING ALONG AND THEN SPRINTING AS THE CHORUS COMES UP, THE CROWD HELPING SCREAM THE WHOA PARTS!! LET ME SAY LEAVE ME ALONE, DO IT.

6. Jam

Sassy solo lines, fun choreography, jumping out from the stage? HEY, I STILL LIKE THOSE THINGS NOW, ARASHI!! NO UPDATE NEEDED.

5. Rock You

I know this has been performed on dvd twice, and for a sweet little album song like this, that's pretty good! But I would only be sated if they performed this in every concert, because it is always a fun performance and it gives me SUCH FEELINGS. The solo lines! The lyrics! The Sho rap part! NINO'S SOLO LINES! THE EVERYTHING, BASICALLY. CLAP YOUR HANDS TWO TIMES.

4. NA! NA! NA!!

This is the song I wake up to every morning, because it is both insistent that I wake up and JOYOUS. One performance of this is not enough! The mid-tempo happy verses and then the up-tempo SUPER happy chorus, and then Sho's rap, and then when the whole song kicks up a notch to become EXTRA SUPER HAPPY and then Leader's beautiful singing on top of the rest WITH HIS BEAUTIFUL HAPPY VOICE, I WANT IT.

3. I Want Somebody

NO NEED TO CHANGE A THING, ARASHI. MOVING STAGE, CHOREOGRAPHY, SULTRY LINES, YOU CAN EVEN USE THE SAME OUTFITS, I HAVE ZERO COMPLAINTS. GIVE IT TO ME.

2. Yurase Ima wo

This song just fills my heart up, no matter how down I am. I have been known (by myself) to cry when its opening notes come on, if I am particularly in need of it at the time. If there were to be another performance of it, probably I would cry so many happy tears.

1. Itsuka no Summer

WITH SHO. WITH SHO'S RAP. AIBA'S ITSUKA NO SUMMER WITH SHO'S RAP. THIS IS THE SORT OF THING WHERE I WANT IT SO MUCH THAT THERE IS NO WAY IT'LL EVER HAPPEN, RIGHT, BUT EVEN SO I WANT IT SO MUCH.
