\nOne day, I found a site<\/a> about
\nMing, a SWF output library and PHP
\nmodule. Somehow, it attracted me, and gave me a
\ndriving force to try it immediately. I tried to read quickly to
\nfind things I’d be able to download. I downloaded the source
\ncode, the examples, and the precompiled PHP module.
\nWhen I don’t have extra time, sometimes I think, “why compile
\nit myself if someone else has compiled it for me?” Therefore, I
\nfetched the compressed file, uncompressed it into a server
\nrunning Debian GNU\/Linux 2.2.<\/div>\n
\nAccording to the installation howto, what I’d need to do was
\njust download the PHP module and put the uncompressed
\nphp_ming.so to PHP module directory. PHP module directory?
\nWhere is it? Aha, simply run php-config
\n--extension-dir<\/code>. “Piece of cake”, I thought.<\/div>\n
\nThe last
\nstep was adding extension=php_ming.so<\/code>. I tried the
\nsample code (you’ll find it later in this article) — it didn’t
\nwork. My intuition told me that it might be because I was using
\nDebian along with the stable packages I apt-got (… err…
\napt-get in past tense) install. Well, I was right. So, let’s
\ndiscuss about how to do it in Debian.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
