Hi everyone,

I'm new to this community, and very new to PHP. I've tried learning on my own through various websites and whatnot, but I always seem to get lost along the way. I don't understand MySQL or PHP for the life of me, and I'd really like to learn.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who started off this way...so my question to you guys is do you have any book suggestions that start very basic but provide a little more advanced stuff later on?

I've read various reviews on books like PHP for dummies and whatnot, but i'm still not sure.
