Excellent novel-based sci-fi/psychological anime movie...must rewatch when other 2 movies comes out as part of Project Itoh.

Some information about the novel-based movie and authors:
"Shisha no Teikoku" as well as "Harmony" and the upcoming "Genocidal Organ" are all part of Project Itoh. The 3 novels are mostly authored by Itou Satoshi- 伊藤計劃 (AKA: Project Itoh, Itou Keikaku) includes: "Gyakusatsu Kikan-Genocidal Organ" (2002), "Harmony" (2008), and "The Empire of Corpses" (2012).
"Since 2001, he had to be hospitalized frequently for recurrent cancer and died at age 34 on March 20, 2009. During that time he finished his first 2 novels, while it's said that he just completed Harmony before being unable to continue writing." Shisha no Teikoku was the last story Itou Satoshi wrote and he was only able to complete the first draft of the story, which was later completed after his death by co-author Toh Enjoe-円城塔.

With all that's been happening in my life since the start of 2012, It's really nice to feel happy once in a while. Perhaps money can't really buy love, but I spent some and my spirits were uplifted when I received the goodies in the mail. After all, gotta give myself some love too ^___^ I received earlier this week the first 6 dj [chapters] of "In These Words" by TogaQ[illustrations] and Kichiku Neko[storyline/author]. I must say....it left off MAKING the reader want more, so it's a VERY interesting story indeed.

They steal download links and files from scanlation groups, post and reshare the files without permission from the groups. They have no respect whatsoever to the people who buy the books, scan and translate those projects.

I condemn them and I won't have anything to do with them. I don't tolerate such actions. I hereby state that I am not a member of CI YAOI community and I will never steal from any scanlation groups without permission.

Gotta watch Mardock Scramble: The Second Combustion

In celebration of "Mardock Scramble: The Second Combustion" release in theaters, this serves to remind myself to search for it when available. For fans who want to read the novel by Tow Ubukata sensei, Viz Media has published in about 700 pages all 3 novels in one paperback (ISBN-13: 978-1421537641). Also available for Kindle users.

Usagi Drop ep7

After watching ep7 of "Usagi Drop", just had to post some of my favorite quotes from Haruko which highlighted this ep and touched me bc it is so down to earth:
"I wonder if peaceful cohabitation between a wife and her in-laws even exists."
"....everyone else is an enemy. I think of just the two of us[Reina chan and Haruko herself] as family."
I like the determined expression Haruko has in this screenshot as she exits Daikichi's home to return to her husband. She shows strength to continue her marriage instead of opting for a divorce. In a society where there are so many divorces[not due to violence or abuse] that negatively impacts the children involved, I must applaud her determination.

A Chick Hatches

Over the weekend, I went over "Natsume Yuujinchou" again which is amongst my favorite supernatural yokai involving anime. Every episode manages to be so endearing, but I really love "A Chick Hatches" from S2 Ep04. Isn't Tatsumi just cute! And to think of Natsume as his parent was something else.
Hey myself: watch this anime next summer again!

"The future was not One and Absolute"

To select just one pairing to discuss as my first LJ entry of this genre is difficult since there are just too many, even within the same series [gomen Subaru x Seishiro pair]. This entry post is dedicated to Shiro Kamui and Monou Fuma.

Kamui x Fuma pair is from the manga/anime series "X 1999" created by Clamp. For those who are familiar with the series...it's incredible that the manga is STILL on hiatus with over 18 volumes. For more detailed information on this series, please search on Wikipedia. I have included a few of my favorite images taken from Pandorina's website(kamui.pandorinadesign[dot]com) to stimulate members who have yet to experience this interestingly engaging series.

Kamui and Fuma are childhood friends [my favorite beginning] and the relationship develops into a sadistic love-hate bond(like 2 sides of the same coin). After Kamui makes his decision to side with the Dragons of Heaven, Fuma becomes the other twinstar Kamui of the Dragon of Earth and thus they oppose each other until only one is the victor. Because of this twinstar phophecy and Fuma's sadistic calculating persona, altogether makes great material to arouse my imagination shaping them as a tragic couple in my many daydreams. I love the dynamics of their deepening friendship and later on intense destructive bonds that seem unrepairable.

The movie and tv series (24ep) have different endings, as I prefer the tv series' ending[more chara development and tearful moments], I conclude this journal entry with Kamui's last words as Fuma inherits his[Kamui's] will: "This is the future I have chosen".

Chipotle Day

Okay, although I don't live under a rock....I finally had the opportunity to taste the "fresh" food at Chipotle. I have to say their cilantro rice is awesome, but you can't see it since it's hiding underneath a behemoth of veggies. It's a refreshing change, but stick'n to the Asian palate.
