Heading into NYC on Friday to NY Comic Con, my godson wants me to go with him and his friends...how can I refuse?!

Opinion time...would you spend an extra $10 or $35 to see the live broadcast of "Jay and Silent Bob Get Old" or go to the Mark Hamill panel? I'm torn, I don't mind the money but they're at the same time so it's one or the other. On one had I like Kevin Smith quite a bit but on the other hand it's Luke Skywalker/The Joker.

Hmm...decisions decisions.

I just lucked into a free ticket to go see Wicked tomorrow afternoon! Woohoo!

My cousin wanted to go for her 16th birthday so her dad bought tickets for his daughter and her 2 friends. Her mom was supposed to drive them in but she got sick and can't take them. My cousin can't leave his other kids alone for the day and his sisters can't/won't drive into NYC.

Ha, first time in my life that being the family's designated chauffeur worked out to my benefit. I get a free ticket to see Wicked and my cousin is giving me money for parking and taking the kids out to dinner.

So looks like I'm going to a Broadway show and we're going to see the Rockefeller Christmas tree as well. I can't remember the last time I was in NYC to see the tree.

Merry Christmas to me :D

"V" - "The Pilot"

Thoughts on tonight's premiere episode of "V" behind the cut, contains spoilers if you haven't seen the episode yet.

Whoa! I have to admit I had my reservations about this remake. I absolutely loved the original "V" mini series, loved the fact that it was an allegory of the Nazi takeover. I wasn't sure how I like this new version but the previews looked good and peeked my interest.

I can honestly say I was impressed. The special effects were amazing and it certainly has a high production valued. The acting was spot on and I found the lead characters very interesting.

I have to say that I was impressed with Morena Baccarin, I've seen her in both Firefly and SG-1 and she's never impressed me but she was certainly perfect in the role of Anna. I found her "evil" alien leader to be far more interesting than Diana which relied too much on sexy woman to be enjoyable (no a days anyway).

My only complaint is that the action seemed to move too fast, we already have the evil reptile alien reveal. At the same time I liked how they did it. The fact that the Visitors had sleeper terrorist cells on Earth for years as part of their master plan works for me. Also we already have the reveal of the 5th Column in the Ryan Nichols character.

Other than that I liked seeing Alan Tudyk as a Visitor.. I'm not a Firefly fan but it would be fun to see Wash and Inara on the same screen together.

All in all, I really enjoyed the pilot and hope it sticks around for a while. .

Yankees Lead ALCS 2-0

I can't believe I fell asleep :-(

Last I saw A-Rod hit a hommer to tie the game in the 11th, then no one else scored and they were going into the 12th inning. Excellent news for the Yankees since it's going to be hard to win a game in LA.

Last nights game (what I saw of it) was very exciting, can't wait for Monday's game.

Yankees/Angels Game 1 in The Bronx

The Game is on tonight, just a light rain predicted, so no rain out, possible rain delay but that doesn't seem likely.

I'm both excited and nervous for tonight's game. It's great to see the Yankees back in post season and looking good but its The Angels...ugh.

I'm routing for the Dodgers, have to give props to Torre and Donny Baseballl. However, I just remembered that Pedro Martinez is playing for the Philies now. The Yankees have a good record against Pedro so it might be better for us to face the Philies in the World Series (assuming we make it) than the Dodgers.

I've got Sunday football, post season baseball, cool weather and Halloween. I've always loved Fall but I think October might just be my favorite month.

So Giants win! Yay!

Jets play tomorrow night - J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets!

Baseball wise, Angels swept the Red Sox, so if the Yanks win the series (crosses fingers it ends tonight) it's be the Yanks/Angels in the ALCS. This scares me a bit, I hate that stupid Rally Monkey (sorry Carole).

In the National league, Dodgers swept that Cards. A tiny, part of me can't help but wonder what would happen if this came down to a Yankees/Dodgers World Series? I love Torre and you can't get more Yankee than Donnie Baseball.

I'm really excited for tonight's game. Hope the Yanks can pull it off, it would be nice to have the ALDS wrapped up at home ;-)

Angels won last night. Not sure how I feel about that game, I kind of want to stay neutral. Personally I'd prefer a Yanks/BoSox rematch in the ALCS. I think we have a better shot against to Sox plus I think the Yanks need to beat the RedSox to make an official return to the World Series.

However, it's one of those be careful what you wish for things...

In other news, I'm watching Across The Universe...hmm not as bad as the first time I watched it. I knew Eddie Izzard played Mr. Kite in it, I had no idea Bono was in it as well.

If you ever get a chance to see Love at The Mirage in Las Vegas you must see it..it's fantastic

I think FlashForward just took my Thursday 8 PM must watch slot. The Vampire Diaries will be stored on the DVR and watched on Friday night (can't miss Supernatural).

So the Yanks secured a post season spot but it's not over yet. We've got the Red Sox this weekend. Red Sox are trailing Yanks in the Division by 6 games. I think that means the Yanks only need to win Friday's game in order to secure the division.

Friday's game is going to be intense, Yanks going for the division. Red Sox are 7 games ahead of Texas in the Wild Card race so I think this weekend is the turning point for both teams.

Yanks game will be broadcasted on on TBS and MY9 (former UPN channel) in NY/NJ. Saturday's game is on FOX (I hate Joe Buck) and Sunday's game is on ESPN. It's great that they're all national games but I really would have preferred at least one game to be on Yes. Especially if they could get Paul O'Neil in the booth with Michael Kay, they crack me up.

Lets Go, Yank~ees!
