Essays and reflections on the numinous undercurrents of life, self, religion, horror, creativity, consciousness, and culture.
Matt Cardin often writes at the intersection of topics that draw me in. Except maybe horror. But maybe I like horror, too. He is also "helping other writers find and focus their voice, vision, mission." That's good.
What you think about when you don't have to think about anything else
Tim is one of the finest, funniest and most urgently philosophical essay writers in the United States of America, such as they are. Our editor-writer relationship goes back more than 15 years. You would do well to read his work at The Loaf on Substack, read his many essays in the NY Times and buy his books, too. We are planning a Q&A that I hope to publish soon. Just have to do it first.
Essays about artists and other adults I admire. But also poems, recommendations, and serializing a memoir I'm writing called "Happiness Ruined Everything," chapters of which I'll post probably once a week. Oh, and I don't believe in trigger warnings.
Michael Klein is a deeply knowledgable and open-hearted poet. And you need more poets in your life.
