Well its been a week of surprises all starting with Wednesday night when I got a call off Jay to say that I had been invited by all the family and himself to go and visit him as soon as possible and when did I have some time off. Luckily for me my week finished on Monday as all other lectures had been cancelled and lucky again because until Jay can see if he can transfer over to a Hereford Mcds he’s off to do what he wants.
So Thursday away I went (very very early in the morning) got there before 9 am, which was cool. But by the time I got there I was really nervous never met the boyfriends family before and I was thinking the nice old what if they don’t like me situation…First person I saw was Jay who gave me a big hug and told me it was time to meet George (Jays Mum) who was going to drive us around. I was a bit nervous to start of with at first but when we got chatting we got on really well and seems like a nice person. We got driven over to Jays house where I got my first chance to meet both Nick and Doug. I was most worried about meeting Doug due to the fact that I had been warned about his sense of humour, but he’s cool as well and we had a good laugh about life in general. You just have to see his Dads living room seeing is ultimately believing. Its red green and yellow stripes with a fireplace, which has the guild of the assassin’s plaque over the top with a skeleton hanging down from one of the corners. At the moment there’s an additional white Christmas tree with a nice little green alien sitting on top of the tree. But it’s all cool. Got to meet the whole family in the end once I met Kyle and Nick (alright kyles not technically family but he’s living in the house at the moment!!!) and still not a problem. Nick was showing me all his playstation games and we all played mortal combat together and I kept on getting my assed kicked due to the fact that someone kept sticking a sword right through me so I bleed to death…nice. Jays room looked alright too he’d almost set it out how he wants it he just wants a few more items to decorate it and make it feel more cosy which will come in time I guess.
So then it was time to leave Doug’s house as jay and me were invited to Georges and Barrys house for tea. It was really nice sitting around a cosy coal fire-watching pirates of the Caribbean which was a movie Barry had wanted to see for ages. I even got to see very sweet pictures of a very blonde little jay much to Jays dislike.. (Me thinks lol) Ended the night pretty nicely when we all went outside with mugs of coco looking out at the night sky. I have never seen so many stars in my life it must be something about living in a city. It was so beautiful and Jay spent some time outside teaching me about the different constellations in the sky, which was sweet. Then off Barry and George went to bed allowing us to talk, which was really nice of them, as we hadn’t had a chance to speak alone for a while. It was good to talk and make sure that everything was going ok and that he wasn’t worried about anything and so far so good…We then exchanged pressies Jay loves his so I was quite happy and glad that I had picked the right items out and I was really happy with what Jay had got me, its Unlimited Saga which is made by the same people that do Final Fantasy. Its so cool for two reasons 1 that whatever character I choose to play changes the way you play the game all together and two it came with not only a prologue but also the open sequence to final fantasy X-2. Its looks really cool and I can’t wait to get it in February…
The next day we get up nice and early to go and pick Doug up first so that he could go to the Drs for a check up and to take us into town to get a guided tour of Hereford. Unbeknown to me this takes hardly any time at all but its still a nice place and has a couple of quirky shops with nice stuff in it. So we then go to the bus stop café where nearly everyone is there bar Nick and Kyle we had a nice breakfast and chat and Jay went to the train station to find out train times. It was a nice surprise for him to find an old friends dad working there. So after we said our goodbyes to the family we went straight back into town and went to see Mark and spent his lunch break talking to each other. It was really good for Jay because he had lost contact with him once he lost his phone so it was good to get back in contact and to find out that in Feb he will be a married man which is all cool. After that we had enough time for a couple of games of pool with jay, Kyle, nick and me. Which I can’t believe I actually beat Jay (i’m sure he let me win) Time fly’s fast when your having fun and before I knew it I was on the train home again…
So yup Im back here for the next 24hrs then i’m going home to have family time for Christmas
