The Perk & Pine Experience

Perk & Pine is a cozy, eco-friendly café and event space in Sudbury, founded by friends with a vision for sustainable, community-focused living. Nestled beside The Nickel Refillery, Perk & Pine embraces a zero-waste lifestyle, prioritizing reusable containers over single-use plastics to reduce waste. We serve small-batch vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes made with local, organic, and seasonal ingredients whenever possible, alongside locally roasted coffee. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or staying for a light meal, Perk & Pine offers a warm and welcoming space where everyone can feel good about their choices.

At Perk & Pine, sustainability is key. By rethinking the typical café experience, we aim to make it easier for you to enjoy coffee and food while embracing a waste-free lifestyle.

Stop by to see how simple – and enjoyable – sustainable living can be!

How it Works

At Perk & Pine, we’re committed to reducing single-use waste. We invite patrons to dine in with us: we have dishes, cutlery, and cloth napkins. For take-out beverages and food items, we encourage our patrons to bring their own clean travel mugs and containers.

You, as the customer, only pay for the food or beverage – no extra packaging fees! Forgot your container? No worries; we offer reusable containers for a small fee, which is refunded when the container is returned clean, dry, and intact.

Why Choose Perk & Pine?

ECO-CONSCIOUS

We’re committed to creating an eco-conscious dining experience that makes a real impact. By encouraging our customers to Bring Your Own Container (BYOC) and offering reusable containers for a deposit, we help reduce the massive amounts of single-use plastics that often end up in landfills or pollute our waterways.

Choosing reusable options not only minimizes this waste but also lowers greenhouse gas emissions associated with single-use plastic production, helping to reduce our collective carbon footprint.

LOCALLY-SOURCED + VEGETARIAN

We’re dedicated to providing a locally-sourced, vegetarian menu that prioritizes quality, sustainability, and the health of our community.

Our small-batch vegetarian dishes, with vegan options, showcase fresh, organic, and seasonal ingredients from nearby farms and producers whenever possible.

INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY SPACE

We’re proud to offer an inclusive community space designed to bring people together for wellness, creativity, and connection. Our versatile event area is perfect for hosting yoga sessions, meditation, art classes, workshops, and more, all aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose in Sudbury. By creating a welcoming environment for diverse gatherings, we encourage community bonding over eco-conscious values and support meaningful social interactions.
