Benson Family: Round 6

Time for round 6 for the Benson family. Carter and Bree have moved back home from Uni, and are ready to start their adult lives. The plantsims are continuing to reproduce aiming for that point for having 10 plantsim generations!

Carter and Bree are very happy to be graduated from Uni and finally living together! They've been dating since they were teens, went through 4 simdays of Uni living in separate housing, and now they're finally together. Life is good.

They have moved back into Carter's childhood home that he shared with his beloved grandmother, Mona, and all of her plantsim progeny. The plantsims are so used to having the house to themselves that they frequently forget there are two newly graduated love birds sharing the same space!

The youngest plantsim, Hemlock, is happy to have some new people in the house to play with. Now the cute little booger gets even more attention than before.

I was really too excited to wait much longer to make these two have babies, so Carter proposed in no time at all. And obviously Bree said YES!

So wedding spam! Carter and Bree tied the knot at the beautiful St. Eclair's Church that Leslie and Daniel Ward got married in way back when. It's such a perfect wedding venue!

Lavender Benson, oldest of Carter's plantsim family, thought it was the most romantic thing she's ever seen! Lavender has always been a hopeless romantic, but being a plantsim, we don't get any points from her, so she's never really been able to find love. But watching her at the wedding really made me sad that I've always viewed these plantsims as pointless in this challenge!

Now for the posed pictures. Here's the bride and groom, Carter and Bree (Wilcox) Benson.

Bree with her bridesmaids. Younger sister Sasha Wilcox was the Maid of Honor. Sorority sisters and best friends, April Jackson and Darcy Nolan, were bridesmaids.

Carter had his two best friends, brothers Luke and Dixon Jackson, as groomsmen.

This is Bree's family. Mom Larke Wilcox and her boyfriend Andrew Ward, and sisters Sasha and Adrianna Wilcox.

And Carter's family, all the plantsims. Lavender, Hyacinth, Azalea and Dandelion.

Lots of guests came to the wedding. Dixon brought his fiancee, Della Harvey. Luke lines up waiting for his turn at Dixon. The brothers are enemies, and they constantly follow each other around picking fights.

Love was in the air on this beautiful summer day. All the couples were bitten by the summer-wedding love bug.

Sister of the bride, Sasha Wilcox, brought her new boyfriend Jimmy Phoenix to the wedding. These two are a new couple, established during their final year at Uni, but going strong so far.

Mother of the bride, Larke Wilcox, has a stank face while hugging her daughter. Larke is a very notorious Romance sim in town, and her feelings on marriage are not all puppies and rainbows. In fact, she's never actually been married! She has a hard time hiding her displeasure with her daughter's choice to tie the knot.

The bride and groom make a picture-perfect couple! Plantsim approved!

After their honeymoon night, Bree woke up to a strange sound. "Were those lullabies I heard?" she asks herself.

After the wedding, Carter bought a community lot and started a gym. He has a very high interest in sports and fitness, so this was the perfect business for him. He named it "Work It Out". The downstairs is full of exercise equipment, while the upstairs loft boasts a yoga studio.

Business was slow the first few days (I'm having a problem with my community lots in this town...only one customer shows up at a time), but Carter uses the time to really focus his attention on each of his clients. Ok, so he's not the best personal trainer in the world!

But at least he gets paid!

The perks of running your own gym is that you tend to get in shape very quickly too.

Carter had a want to adopt a puppy, so meet Gus!

Bree shares some good news over breakfast the next morning. She's pregnant!

The ROS for this family was for Bree to write a novel. So she spent some time working on that.

And she made some nice money off of the novel once it was published!

She also got a job in her LTW career track of Gamer. She was immediately hired on at a very high level, as a Guild Leader.

And after only one day on the job, she reached the top of the career and became a Game Designer, also completing her LTW and earning a point for the challenge!

And it was perfect timing because she went on maternity leave soon after. Look at that baby bump!

Next up, let's check in on the plantsims in the house. I really do tend to forget about them since they do not earn points for the challenge. This here is the beautiful Azalea Benson. She is generation 3 of the plantsim line.

This is little Hemlock, generation 5. He fell in love with the new puppy Gus.

And then he grew up into a very handsome plantsim adult.

Here's the other 3 plantsims. We have Dandelion (gen 4) on the left, Lavender (gen 1) in the middle, and Hyacinth (gen 2) on the right. This is what my plantsims do for most of their time if they're not gardening or helping to take care of babies/toddlers. They just sit there under the sun lamp! LOL.

But then this happened. Now I know it's a little creepy because Lavender is technically Hemlock's great-great-grandmother, but that's so far down the line that the game does not recognize them as family. And Lavender has been itching for a romance....and they do have 3 bolts naturally. So I figured, eh, why not just go with it?

Right before they took their relationship to the next level, Lavender beings to wonder if sleeping with her great-great-grandson is logical? No, it's not, but it sure didn't stop her!

Back to the humans...Bree's baby bump continued to grow.

And she spent most of her maternity leave playing on her career reward pinball table. At least she gets money for playing it!

And then all of her friends threw her a baby shower! Her sisters, mother, and all of her college friends came over for some fun.

Sasha is so excited to be an aunt! The sisters had a good time catching up. Now that they're grown and on their own, they don't get much time together anymore.

Bree had a nice time catching up with her younger sister, Adrianna, too. She remembers not too long ago when Adrianna was born....and now she's about to start Uni!

The baby shower attendees had a nice time pillow-fighting each other. In fact, that's what most of the guests were doing while Bree made her rounds talking to everyone. Also note, Sasha is having a pillow fight here with Della Harvey...the girl who stole her boyfriend just a few simdays ago! Sims will be sims I suppose.

The baby shower was a huge success, and Bree got some very nice presents from all of her friends and families.

Bree's mom, Larke Wilcox, was the last one to leave. She told Bree to call her the minute those babies were born. She's so excited to be a grandma!

And she didn't have to wait long! Bree went into labor the next morning, and what a surprise when she found out it was twins! This is the second set of twins born in Bakersfield.

And here they are....a boy and a girl! I let my husband name them, and I tell you, that was the biggest mistake! So, welcome to Leela and Erol Benson! I can already see that I'm going to have to fix the red head's skintone (I don't remember which one is which!) as it's not one of my normal skintones, and I have no idea where the other baby's blond hair came from...unless Mona, Carter's grandmother, had blond hair maybe. She was a CAS elder so I really don't remember what she was originally given.

As promised, new grandma Larke came over right away to dote on her grandbabies.

The new parents sure did appreciate her help, because it's not easy taking care of two babies at one time!

But it didn't take long for the love-birds to start being romantic again...Carter became a little kinky after waiting so long for his wife to have those babies!

And then Hemlock did his only duty in this challenge, and brought forth another generation of plantsims. This is little Lichen, another boy and generation 6.

And somewhere in this crazy busy week of weddings and births, Bree earned her silver gardening talent badge!

And lastly, Gus grew up into just about the cutest dog ever. I love his coloring!

Next round, I'm moving the plantsims out into a house of their own. I want to try to build a treehouse for them! So, the Benson family has split in two, and here are their new family portraits at the end of round 6. As always, thanks for reading!

Round 6: Scott Family

And we're back with Round 6 for the Scott family. This family is unarguably the largest family in town. Hugh Scott is a Family sim who is going for the impossible want to have 10 children. So his wife Diana has spent the majority of her adult life being pregnant! Let's see what happens for this growing family this time around.

Hugh and Diana Scott have their hands full. Hugh's family aspiration has filled their home with rowdy, fun-filled, snot-nosed children! Add to the mix that Hugh and Diana both became werewolves a round or two ago, and it makes for one interesting house!

Out of all the Scott children there are only 2 boys, Aaron and Joshua. They seem to be friends, however Aaron is always teasing Joshua, just by virtue of being older.

After Aaron comes Holly. She had her teen birthday on the first day of this round. She turned out to be quite lovely.

Lilly is the next Scott child. She's more of a tomboy it seems, although with so many children it's so hard to focus on each one to figure out their personalities! Maybe I should start taking one day per sim and just follow them around to really get to know them! I might just do that....

Next up is little Kelly. She'll be having a birthday soon, but for now her sole responsibility is to learn her skills and pester the puppy, Princess.

And the last little booger (for now!) is baby Rachel. It won't be long before her birthday!

I feel like Hugh should have earned his bronze gardening badge ages ago, since he's had a garden almost since the beginning of the town...but I guess not! He finally earned it on the first day of round 6.

Also on the first day, Diana got in a rare day of work and came home with a promotion to Gold Farmer.

Aaron, the oldest Scott boy, has started dating Brooke Merrick, daughter of another playable family. They make a cute couple for sure, and I do so love it when my playables date each other!

They got pretty serious during this round, and they started officially dating in no time.

They also jumped right in and took their relationship to the next level! Yikes, at least there were no lullabies going off.

While Aaron is trying to grow up way too fast, the other Scott children are just having fun being kids. I think it's summer time this season, so the pool has gotten a lot of use!

Diana took advantage of the warm weather to work on the garden. She earned her gold garden badge. I guess we know why Hugh is only on his bronze...Diana has been taking care of the garden all this time.

Princess had her birthday and grew up to an interesting looking doggy.

And baby Rachel had her toddler birthday, so there's two toddlers in the house now to pester poor Princess!

And there will soon be more babies in the house, Diana is pregnant once again!

Notice I said "babies", that's because I've had enough of this one baby at a time thing! They need 10 kids, and both Diana and Scott are getting close to their elder years, so it's time to kick it up a notch. Time for cheesecake!

But until the baby is born, it is life as usual for the Scotts. Toddler training and werewolf nights.

There was one drama flare up when Larke Wilcox came over to visit Hugh. If you remember, Larke and Hugh had a fling back in the beginning of the town's history which resulted in the birth of their daughter Adrianna, first sim of generation 2. Larke recently had her elder birthday, and Hugh doesn't seem to find her attractive anymore, even though they've always had a high chemistry. Larke, who is notorious for her plentiful list of lovers, does not like this new development.

But drama with her husband's ex-lover was soon forgotten when Diana went into labor once again.

And as hoped for, it's twins! Twin girls to be exact! So there's still only 2 boys in this family, darnit. My hood is being overrun by girls. Oh well, these two are Martha and Mary Scott. They both have Hugh's black hair, I don't remember who's eyes they have!

Kelly had her childhood birthday on the same day the twins were born. Definitely another tomboy. For some reason the Scott girls all seem like tomboys to me! Maybe's it's the freckles, I don't know. Although I think little Rachel will end up being girly.

After the birth of the twins, Diana finally got to go back to work again. She got a chance card and passed it, which only meant she got access to the hobby lot, I think.

She also came home with another promotion, this time to Flag Capturer. It's her last promotion for a little bit since she quickly found out that she's pregnant yet again, this time with baby #10! We'll finally see that baby next round!

Two more birthdays! Youngest Scott boy, Joshua, became a teenager. A very, very handsome one at that. And Hugh finally had his elder birthday! I can't believe my generation one founders have all become elders!

Being old makes it a little harder to be as active with his kids. It's harder for Hugh because he's still got small children at home. All the other founders in town have grown up kids (well, Larke just had a baby right before her elder years too), so Hugh's elder years will be a little different.

He does take more time to relax these days, his energy level just seems to fall so much faster. He's become a big fan of reading the gossip column in the newspaper.

Aaron came home with a chance card. He is successful and wins some Tinkering enthusiasm.

Kelly also wins a chance card and gains some Science enthusiasm.

And lastly, the twins have their toddler birthday. I have no idea which one is which, lol. It's been so long since I played this update! They both inherited Diana's freckles, as most of the Scott kids have done!

Here's the family at the end of the round. They've got 8 kids living with them, Adrianna from Hugh's first marriage is about to start Uni in the next round, and one baby on the way! So Hugh will achieve his IW of 10 kids next round. And then maybe Diana can get back to work and achieve her LTW of topping the Gamer career! Thanks for reading!

Round 6: Uni Days 26-28

Wow, it has been an extremely long time since I last played this hood or posted anything! I am truly sorry for that. I forgot just how much fun I have playing this little town of Bakersfield. So here I am, back with a much needed update! This time around, we're visiting all the kids at University for simdays 26-28 of Round 6.

Here we have Bree Wilcox, oldest child of Larke Wilcox. Just for a refresher, Bree is a senior this year and is a Knowledge/Grilled Cheese sim. She wants to join the Gamer career and is majoring in Mathematics. She's been dating Carter Benson since they were teens. The other girls in the sorority are pretty sick of eating grilled cheese, but Bree is such a sweet person that they love her anyway. Oh, and Bree gained a point for the challenge last time by completing her IW of maxing all skills.

And here she is with her highschool sweetheart, Carter Benson. Carter is a Family/Popularity sim who dreams of growing old with his wife and celebrating their golden anniversary (hopefully with Bree!). He is majoring in Biology, although he really doesn't know what he wants to do for a profession yet.

This is Bree's younger sister, Sasha Wilcox. She is in her Sophomore year at the moment. Sasha is a Knowledge/Romance sim. She wants to make it big in the Entertainment industry and is majoring in Literature. Sasha used to date Dixon Jackson when they were teens, but Dixon dumped her in Round 5 for his three-bolter Della Harvey. So Sasha is still currently single and spends most of her time studying.

Next up, we have Luke Jackson. He's the son of Tracey Jackson-Moran and brother of Dixon and April. Luke is a Pleasure/Popularity sim. He wants to join the athletic career one day. Luke is a senior majoring in Biology. He's been dating Darcy Nolan since they were teens, and in the last Uni update they found out they were pregnant thanks to risky woohoo.

And here is Darcy, heavily pregnant as you can see. She's getting close to her due date, and unfortunately her studies are suffering because of it. Darcy is a Popularity sim who wants to open up a bunch of successful businesses. She's a senior, majoring in Philosophy.

This is Luke's twin brother Dixon, and his girlfriend Della Harvey. Dixon used to date Sasha Wilcox, but in their later teen years he met Della Harvey at school and fell for her hard. They are now together and got engaged in the last Uni update. Dixon is a Family/Fortune sim and wants to become an Entertainer. He's a senior majoring in Drama. Della is a Knowledge sim and wants to max all her skills. She's a senior also and majoring in Economics. She plans on entering the Education career after Uni.

And lastly here's April Jackson and her girlfriend Darlene Dawson. They've also been dating since they were teens. April is a Pleasure/Fortune sim and just wants to make a whole lot of money. She's a senior majoring in Drama. She is going to be joining the Dance career after Uni. Darlene is also majoring in Drama, but she wants to join the Athletic career one day. She's a Romance sim, but seems to have eyes only for April so far!

So, life at Uni with these kids really hasn't been too crazy. They all have their different habits and preferences. Carter and Bree tend to do "nerdy" things together. They play chess, play video games, and read books together. They are seldom seen without each other.

Darcy spends a lot of time neglecting her studies. This pregnancy has been really rough on her mood and health, and she's constantly having to pee or eat. So she spends most of her time playing games, when she's not doing the other two things. Her grades have fallen big time because of it.

And then it all caught up with her and sadly, she lost the baby. It was just too stressful and living in a busy sorority house didn't help things. She was devastated when she got the news. After that, her grades really dropped and she was placed on academic probation, which meant that she wouldn't be graduating with the other seniors. She'd have to stay for one more semester.

Luke was upset too when Sasha told him about the baby. And he could tell how hurt she was by the miscarriage and about being put on academic probation. But he assured her that it was only 1 semester and he would be waiting for her back home.

You'd think finding out you're having a baby while still in Uni, and then losing that baby would make you double think woohoo'ing again....but Luke and Darcy prove that logic is not a strong suit of the young and in love.

Dixon and Della proved that point many a time as well, but at least there were no pregnancies from these two.

When he wasn't with Bree, Carter found time to improve his pool game. He loves entertainment and sports, so maybe he'll open up a gaming center with Bree, or a gym when he graduates?

Mascots are always annoying at Uni, and this interesting cow mascot proved no different. She got on Dixon's bad side when she kept smacking him around with a pillow.

Speaking of people on Dixon's bad side, his twin brother Luke should be included on that list. These two have been enemies since they were kids. I was hoping Uni would bring them closer together, but they still fight each other all the time. It's so hard to have them at any sort of event together because they constantly queue up to kick each other's butt. I can't wait for them to not be living together anymore!

Luke and Dixon weren't the only ones fighting this time around. April got to witness a rousing episode of Llama vs. Cow. Those mascots will be the death of me, I tell you!

And then the big day finally came! Seven of the eight seniors graduated on simday 26! They're all excited to get makeovers and move back to town to start their adult lives! Bree was the Valedictorian with a perfect GPA of 4.0, no surprise there.

Poor Darcy was so upset to see all her classmates graduating and leaving campus. She still has to stick it out for one more semester.

Sasha, on the other hand, was very happy to see one person in particular leaving. She has never been able to be friends with Della Harvey since Dixon dumped her. She hates seeing them together and is happy to be free of her!

With almost everyone graduated, Sasha and Darcy had a pretty quiet time for the rest of the round. Sasha spent most of her time studying, and Darcy just moped around for her last semester.

That last semester flew by for Darcy, and she finally pulled her grades up enough to graduate! She's headed back to Bakersfield to be with Luke again.

So Sasha was left all alone in the sorority house. She only had 1 more year to go, so it wasn't too bad for her. She even managed to get herself a genie lamp! She wished for beauty because she's had such a hard time with relationships, and for peace because she deserves it! She saved her last wish for when she graduates.

Looks like the beauty wish worked, at least one Jimmy Phoenix thinks so. Sasha met him on campus and they quickly hit it off. Can't wait to see where this budding romance goes!

And finally, it was time for Sasha to graduate! She earned a 3.5 GPA and can't wait to get back to town. Maybe Jimmy will join her?

I definitely hear lots of wedding bells in the future for this round. These graduates basically just doubled the number of households this town now has!

Round 6: Jackson/Moran

Last time with the Jackson/Moran family, a new dog joined the household and unsuccessfully tried to make puppies with old Harley. The three eldest Jackson kids moved to Uni and continued their drama on campus. Tracey got her IW count up to 20 best friends...10 more to go! Robin became a good witch, almost died while trying to cast a spell during a fierce fire, and earned his LTW of topping the Entertainment career. Jeremy became a teen and the youngest kid, Seth, is still just a kid!

This round starts off with our resident good witch, Robin, continuing to build his magic skill by practicing on his wife and kids. You'd think he'd learn after almost dying for it last round!

This time it was poor Jeremy that was the guinea pig. He came home with a cold and Robin unsuccessfully tried to cure him of it. Pure terror on that boy's face! By the end of the round, the entire family had the flu and so did several neighbors.

Harley and Petunia kept on trying to make some puppies and a lullaby was finally heard!

Tracey needed one more promotion to make it to General, even though her LTW career is Journalism. But she's worked in the military so long that I couldn't have her quit with just one promotion to go. Besides, she makes a cute astronaut!

The bad luck with chance cards started early in the round, and Jeremy lost a letter grade in school and $25.

Petunia came home with a promotion to Seeing Eye Pet. Thatta girl!

And Tracey finally got that final promotion, topping the Military career, which is 1 point for the challenge. Now she's free to find that elusive Journalism job that she's been looking for her entire adult life.

She also continued to use the wishing well in search of new best friends to earn her Popularity IW. The first day gave her 3 new best friends, bringing her total to 23.

It also brought her a new love interest that surprised me greatly. Tracey and Robin have never strayed from their marital vows, so this was a big shock. And she only has 1 bolt with this guy!

Unfortunately, Robin chose that exact moment to come home from work and caught her with her pants down...literally. He was none too happy.

It broke my wittle heart to see these two so unhappy. Just at the end of last round they were ecstatic to be together after Robin's near-death experience. And now this. Sigh.

Petunia had her puppy. Just one single puppy. This is the first puppy ever born in my game, and I was disappointed that there was only one. I was also surprised that dogs are only pregnant for one day? Anyway, it was a little girl puppy named Molly.

I felt bad for poor Tracey and cheated her into her LTW career. She started with the local newspaper as a Movie Critic for their internet website. From military General to Internet Movie Critic...you gotta start somewhere I guess.

Another bad chance card loses Robin some cuisine enthusiasm, of which I didn't know he had any in the first place.

Little Seth started bringing friends home from school. His current best friend is Joshua Scott who lives next door.

Tracey came home from her first day on the job with a promotion to Fact Checker. Moving on up!

And later that night she earned her gold gardening badge while disposing of all the neglected plants from last round.

And then Robin decided to get revenge on his cheating wife and slept with a townie that looks an awful lot like a pig. He even had a good memory of having an affair!

Tracey was toiling away in the garden and heard the whole thing. Now they're both furious with each other. Ugh. And doesn't that townie look a little swine-esque?

Even with all the drama and failed chance cards going on in this house, they managed to get a genie lamp. Robin used it twice for money, in hopes that it would count towards his Fortune IW of earning $100,000.

And it did indeed! Robin earned $100,000 and a point for the IW.

Petunia came home with another promotion, this time to Rescue Pet which is the top of her career track...I'll have to check if this counts as a point for topping a career?

Jeremy used the last remaining genie wish to make himself beautiful since he's been having no luck with the ladies of Bakersfield.

And boy did it work. He's been crushing on Hannah Merrick for the longest time, and they now have 3 bolts! Course, all the teenage girls in town now have 3 bolts with him, but that's not the point.

They shared their first kiss together on simday 28!

Later that night, Jeremy earned his bronze garden badge. What a day for this teen!

He also learned that late-night gardening can be rather dangerous. A creepy werewolf ran by, almost making Jeremy pee his pants.

But then he realized it was just Hugh Scott stealing the family's invisible newspaper. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

But the skunk was another matter entirely. Poor Jeremy!

After cheating on each other, Tracey and Robin were constantly at each others' throats. I seriously thought about breaking them up, but then I remembered the beautiful wedding at the casino that they had, and decided to see what happens after they stop being furious with each other. However Robin should learn not to mess with an ex-Military General! It's a butt-whooping waiting to happen!

I believe this family is officially the wealthiest family in Bakersfield. Before giving their house a makeover inside and out and buying the most expensive car on the market, they had roughly $150,000.

Seth had his teen birthday and chose Pleasure as his aspiration. He now wants to be a Rock God. He likes hard workers that are stinky, and can't stand people with gray hair.

Seth joined the failing chance card band wagon and lost some games enthusiasm.

Harley came home with a promotion right after his elder birthday, reaching the top of the Showbiz track. He's now a Star!

Turns out Seth is the second Jackson/Moran to be gay. He has crushes on all the teen boys in town. He's good friends with Leo Ward, but he has the biggest crush on Aaron Scott. Aaron is currently dating Brooke Merrick, so I'm not sure the feeling is mutual. Guess we'll find out in the next household!

Tracey came home with another promotion. Now she's an Obituary Writer for the paper. Even though I thought it's normally the families of the deceased that do the actual writing...but whatever.

And she had her elder birthday. She looks very dignified I must say.

The older kids came back home from Uni for their mother's birthday. Luke brought his pregnant girlfriend, Darcy Nolan, home to show off her growing baby bump. Tracey isn't happy they're having a baby so young, but she's thrilled to be having her first grandchild anyway.

Dixon brought home his new fiancee, Della Harvey. Tracey is very happy for her son, even though she really wished he would have stayed with Sasha Wilcox. She was always such a sweet girl, but Della is nice too. As long as her baby is happy!

Brothers Luke and Dixon still hate each other. It was almost like old times having them fighting in the house again. Now we've got Tracey/Robin rumbles and Luke/Dixon fights. What a night! This family is so full of drama.

Dixon and Della took a quick opportunity to have their first woohoo in his parents bedroom. After this round, that bed has really seen a lot!

April and her longtime girlfriend, Darlene Dawson, also snuck up to the parental bedroom. In fact, they stayed up there most of the night.

Everyone did finally gather for the delicious blackened catfish dinner that Tracey prepared. They had a lively conversation, even though Tracey and Robin hate each other right now, and so do Luke and Dixon.

On the last day of the round, little puppy Molly had her adult birthday. She looks awesome! The perfect mix of her parents!

And finally, Robin joined his next LTW career, Oceanography, and came home with a promotion to Dive Master.

What a round this was! And I was worried this family was going to be boring! Ha! The Scott household and their entire brood of kids is up next. Thanks for reading!

Round 6: Merrick/Ward

Last time with the Merrick/Ward family, the kids all had birthdays, a new baby girl was born into the family making a total of 5 Merrick/Ward kids. Daniel continued working on his second LTW of reaching the top of the Military career. Leslie achieved her LTW of topping the Architecture career, and Daniel's brother Andrew Ward joined the town thanks to an ROS. He moved out of this household and into the Wilcox household at the start of Round 6. Let's see what happens this time around!

Daniel and Leslie are busy teaching their very last child all her toddler skills. Luckily, with both parents in perma-plat thanks to achieving LTWs, smart milk is always an option!

Lindsay was really into skilling this round. She spent a lot of time autonomously cooking muffins in her toy oven. And you can see Leslie teaching Ashley how to walk in the background.

Daniel got a chance card on the very first day and got lucky with a promotion to Astronaut.

And there it is.

Teenaged Hannah kept bringing home Jeremy Jackson with her after school. These two are the same age and I would really have loved for them to become a couple, but alas, they have absolutely no chemistry. Darnit.

Brooke finally tapped into her Nature OTH, and spent a lot of time caring for the usually neglected garden.

So much time that she earned her bronze gardening badge.

Hannah spent so much time at school, doing homework, and hanging out with Jeremy Jackson that she often fell asleep into her dinner plate.

The little kids rolled wants to adopt a pet, so meet the newest little Ward, Baxter!

For as much as they "wanted" him, Lindsay and Leo really don't spend much time with their new little puppy!

Since it's now Summer in Bakersfield, the Merrick/Ward family can finally use the pond in their backyard. And boy did they use it. All of them rolled wants through the whole round to go fishing. So fish they did.

Daniel was out there so much that he earned his bronze fishing badge.

Leo rolled a want to learn Lifelong Happiness, so he spent his evenings after school studying for that. He finally learned it! I still don't know what this does for sims...guess I ought to look that up!

The ROS rolled for this round was for Daniel to turn into an Evil Warlock. He looks good all glowy and green. But he was so busy with work and kids that he only got to study for it. He never really used it this round! Although, I am envisioning a dual between him and our resident Good Warlock, Robin Moran.

Of all the sims in this household, only little Lindsay kept up with fishing through the entire round. She got pretty good at it!

And earned her bronze fishing badge as a reward.

Hannah is also a nature OTH, so she started helping Brooke out in the garden and earned her bronze gardening badge.

And then this happened...it's my first big chance card win ever! Leslie answered a chance card correctly and brought home a whopping $50,000!!! Huzzah!!!

And then it was birthday time! Leo became a teen and rolled Popularity with a LTW to top the Law career. He loves the unemployed creative type of girl, but does not like her to know how to cook.

Lindsay also became a teen and chose a Knowledge aspiration like her parents. Her LTW is to top the Architecture career like her mother. She likes men that really know how to cook and that dress all formal-like. She does not like them to have red hair, however.

Leo is a very clean sim and he's always autonomously cleaning stuff. His older sister, Brooke, thinks he's crazy. Probably because she is super messy.

Daniel and Leslie continued to ACR the whole round, but luckily they cannot get pregnant anymore because Leslie is so close to being an elder!

This family also rolled a minor ROS, which made Hannah go on a healthy lifestyle kick. She ate only healthy food all round (salad, fish, etc..) and worked out nonstop. Big sister Brooke helped her build some body skill.

Leo continued his cleanliness obsession and was the only one all round to bathe poor little Ashley.

He also failed a chance card, but only lost some film/lit hobby enthusiasm.

More birthdays! Ashley grew up into a child. She looks a lot like her older sister, Brooke. In fact, I think she's a clone of Brooke because their stats are identical.

Leslie had her birthday too, and became a good looking elder. She aged much better than Larke Wilcox did in the last household, lol.

Her Evil Warlock of a husband still loved her just as much though...wrinkles and all.

Baxter also had a birthday and grew up into a very interesting looking adult dog. I like him!

Like Leo, Brooke failed a chance card and only lost a little cuisine enthusiasm.

Daniel finally came home with that final promotion to General and achieved his 2nd LTW! His 3rd LTW is now to Become a World Class Ballet Dancer! Ha!

With all that money that Leslie won on her chance card earlier, the family upgraded the house. Specifically the kitchen and dining areas which are now big enough to feed the entire Merrick/Ward clan at one time! Daniel celebrated by cooking up some of that delicious fish that the family has been catching all round.

And if you remember from the Wilcox update of this round, Brooke was set up with her best friend's brother while on an outing with friends at the Pizza Place. Aaron Scott and Brooke hit it off big time!

They have a high 2 bolt attraction which I can definitely work with! Yay, one of my playable couples actually worked out!

And they shared their first kiss together on the last day of the round. Awww, I love them already!

And here's the Merrick/Ward family at the end of the round. Daniel will become an elder next round and I think Brooke might be heading off to college at the end of round 7 as well. Thanks for reading!

Round 6: Wilcox

Last time with the Wilcox family, matriarch of the family, Larke, continued working on her IW of having 30 loves and left off needing 5 more. She achieved her 2nd LTW of having 20 Best Friends, and she made it to the top of the Rock career becoming a Rock Goddess and earning the challenge yet another point. The oldest Wilcox daughter, teenaged Bree, had one last teenaged woohoo with long time boyfriend Carter Benson, then went off to Uni with a nice $5,500 in scholarships. Her younger sister Sasha earned her IW of maxing all skills while still a teenager and then heading off to Uni with an even more impressive $6,250 in scholarships. Bree is now in her Senior year at Uni, while Sasha is starting her Sophomore year, and we'll see them in the Uni update later this round. It's also Larke's turn to have custody of her youngest daughter, Adrianna, whom lived with the Scott family during Round 5.

Back in the Merrick/Ward update of Round 5, Larke met, fought with, and then fell in love with new resident Andrew "Drew" Ward. He happens to be the brother of one of Larke's former lovers, Daniel Ward, and also happens to be the one who took her own daughter's virginity (Adrianna, who is also living with Larke this round!). Well, Drew and Larke are each other's highest attractions, so he was more than happy to move in with his new lover at the beginning of this round.

Drew and Larke are so cute together! Even though neither of them will ever be the faithful type.

But they really do have amazing chemistry, and ACR has them being all lovey-dovey 24/7.

Larke is only 4 or 5 days away from being an elder, but this round of woohoo in the love tub ended in an unexpected pregnancy for Larke and Drew anyway! I don't think Larke's going to be too happy about that.

Drew got a job right away in the Adventure career. His LTW is to top the Business career, but he tried in vain all week to find a job in it. So Adventure it is...for now. Here he is as an Ambassador's Intern, although I have no idea what that has to do with Adventure. Sounds more like a political job, but whatever.

Larke had 5 more loves to go before achieving her LTW, so she took advantage of the wishing wells while Drew was at work. Here she is falling in love with Uni student Ashley Pitts for her love #26.

Like I said, Adry moved back in with her mom for this round and was given her older sisters' old bedroom. Having a Rock Goddess for a mother meant there was lots of money to renovate it to her liking. At her dad's house, she has to share a room with 2 other kids!

While Adry isn't as studious as her two older sisters who were both Knowledge sims, she does want to eventually enter the Law field, so she works on her charisma very often. That's about the only skilling, besides gardening, that she does!

Things around the house are going to be awkward for awhile, since Adry and Drew woohoo'd last round. And now Drew has moved in and is woohoo'ing her mother quite frequently, and now having a baby with her! It also doesn't help that he walks around shirtless most of the time, and her teenage hormones are in over-drive!

It doesn't take long for ACR to kick in for these two. Luckily, they kept it to light hugging for awhile.

But Larke doesn't notice the romance blossoming between her boyfriend/baby-daddy and her daughter because she's still trying to get more loves of her own. Here's love #27, exterminator Aren Sartor. What a mustache on that fella!

There goes Larke in her Rock Goddess uniform. I'd never seen it before, so I thought it looked pretty cool. So's the black stretch limo she gets to call her carpool.

She lost a chance card that day at work (no surprise there), but only lost some fitness enthusiasm.

The next day is a weekend day, so Adry decides to take her best friends out for a little fun on the town. She invites her half-brother, Aaron Scott, and her best friend Brooke Merrick, along with a couple of other girls she's friends with.

She tells one of her townie friends, Livia Miller (I think), that the whole point of the outing is to set Aaron and Brooke up. She thinks they'd make a cute couple, and so do I! They're also the only two playables close enough in age to actually have a future together, so it'd be nice if they'd have some chemistry!

Brooke's sister, Hannah Merrick, is another one of Adry's best friends, but she's much younger than the other teens. So she just comes along for fun.

The teens headed to the Pizza Place for some fun in the arcade and for some pizza (what else?). Adry does her best to tell Brooke that while her brother might look a little nerdy, he's actually a very cool guy.

Brooke and Aaron finally start talking on their own, and Adry gives them a little privacy. Hopefully some hearts will start farting?!

Success! We'll check on these developments when we get to Brooke's house next!

Other fun happenings while at the Pizza Place included Adry getting scared to death by the good witch's spectral cat. Look at that face! Pure terror!

And Aaron getting bested by the Charlatan. Poor kid.

Back at home, Larke earns her gold gardening badge, which I believe is another point for the challenge.

And Drew comes home with his first promotion to Spelunker.

Larke also makes love #28 out of Rodney Moran, who might just be a relative of Robin Moran who used to be a townie and is now married to Tracey Jackson. They even look kind of a like!

Adry takes after her daddy's appreciation and talent for art, and quickly masters the creativity skill along with the arts/crafts hobby. She also sold a few masterpieces which are helping her work towards her Fortune IW of earning $100,000.

Blair Ebadi became love #29 for Larke later that night!

At which point I remembered that Drew counts as a new love, so she actually reached 30 loves and earned her Romance IW! Go Larke!

Adry's been helping out in the garden, after all she will be returning to this house after Uni as the Wilcox generation 2 heiress, and earns her silver gardening badge.

And the ROS for this family this round was to break some things and have your sims fix them. Luckily, I only rolled to break 1 thing (easy!). So Adry's laptop had a major malfunction and it took Larke several tries to fix it. Luckily, no electrocutions.

Since Larke was done using the wishing wells for lovers, Adry started using them to make some money towards her IW.

Things continued to be tense and awkward for Drew and Adry, while Larke was home. They really tried hard to keep their relationship a secret.

But Larke eventually started to catch on to the fact that there was a little too much flirting going on between the two of them. And the dirty jokes were totally inappropriate.

But with pregnancy and the heat of the summer in Bakersfield, Larke had bigger things to worry about. Like over-using that darn love tub and passing out from heatstroke all the time.

My game glitched and never showed Larke with a pregnant belly, even though she would pop and I had her in preg-morph clothes...but she was indeed pregnant this whole time, and the little awkward family welcomed baby girl Keisha Ward to the family on simday 29. She looks just like Drew.

Drew had a want to have 3 lovers, and he already had Larke and Adry, so I let him indulge himself in his next highest attraction who turned out to be townie Brittany Robertson. Luckily, neither of his other live-in loves caught him.

But she was worth a lot more than just that 3rd lover want, as she now gives the household discounts on stuff!

After giving birth to Keisha, Larke headed off to work and came back with a promotion to Hypnotist. I think I forgot to mention that I had her switch to the Paranormal career, because in this challenge each sim can get a point for topping a career, max 2 points. So Larke got 1 for Rock, and hopefully will get 1 for Paranormal.

And upon exiting her carpool, she did a little spin and turned into an elder! She definitely did not age well, but oh well. I still love her!

And she finally got a chance to spend some time with her new daughter, even though she's now old enough to be a grandmother!

Later that night, Larke finally caught Adry and Drew in action. Let the drama ensue!

I was ready for the show to begin, so imagine my surprise when Larke responded with giving Drew a backrub instead of kicking him to the curb! Adry seems to be just fine with it too...such a strange little family of unfaithful sims!

Since Larke seemed to have no problem with her boyfriend being in love with (and fooling around with) her teenaged daughter, Adry and Drew let their relationship progress even further and much more in the open. Maybe Adry and Drew will end up together after Larke kicks the bucket? Am I the only one weirded out by this?!

Drew actually gets a chance card right at work the next time and is rewarded with a promotion!

And there it is. He's now a Multiregional Sim of Some Question. Heehee.

And Larke came home with another promotion too. This time to Medium!

On the last day of the round, Drew invited his family over to meet his new baby girl. Daniel Ward, his wife Leslie, and all of their brood of children stopped by for a little get-together.

Larke made some turkey, Drew got to spend some nice time with his nieces and nephews, and they all loved their new cousin Keisha.

Daniel and Leslie Ward snuck off to the hottub thanks to ACR, and there better not be another little Ward baby on the way. They have enough already!

Finally, it was time for Adry to go to Uni. She won only $2,500 in scholarships...a pittance compared to her 2 genius older sisters.

But at least she won't be in this awkward house for a little while, lol. She said her goodbyes to Drew, but ironically not to her own mother.

Then she hopped in the cab and headed off to Uni. She will start her freshman year next round on simday 31.

So now Larke has Drew all to herself, along with their new little baby Keisha. What an interesting round for this family! Lol, hope you enjoyed and as always, thanks for reading!

Bakersfield: Start of Round 6

It's finally summertime in Bakersfield, and the residents are gearing up for a season full of swimming, fishing, and gardening, among other outdoor activities. Once again, the neighborhood section of town looks about the same other than some of the houses have gotten bigger. Resident Architect Leslie Ward has her work cut out for her this round though, as the first bunch of Uni students graduate and come back to town looking for housing. That means new houses will be built this round, and I can't wait!

The town center changed a little bit with the addition of a few new buildings. The Benson plantsims started a new flower arrangement business seen in the bottom left of the picture across the street from the casino/hotel. A small architect's office was built for Leslie Ward to work out of; it can be seen in the top left of the picture. It's the really tiny building with the slanted roof right behind the church. And a military base was added for our two Military career sims: Daniel Ward and Tracey Moran. You can see it on the right hand side of the picture. It's the giant compound lot. I hope to add more career lots this round and start taking pictures of my sims at work! And of course, a University was added: the subhood Sim State University, but I didn't take any pictures of that. Get ready for Round 6!

Round 5: Uni Days 23-25

So the first group of teens from Bakersfield have had their YA birthdays and moved to good ol' SSU to start their college years. In my game, each Uni year (2 semesters) = 1 simday back in the normal hood. So these kids left their homes on simday 22, and therefore I will be playing them through 3 years of Uni in this update (sd's 23, 24, & 25). In the above picture, Luke Jackson had a slight mental meltdown upon arrival at Uni. I have no idea why, but I am not happy that he cost my prosperity challenge 1 point! It's probably because he couldn't stand all of the bad fashion he saw around him from the other students. Don't worry though, they eventually got makeovers!

Before their makeovers could even happen, Dixon and Della Harvey started acting on their natural 3 bolt attraction. Dixon's teenaged girlfriend back home, Sasha Wilcox, is not going to like this. Neither do I, to be honest. I like my playables to marry other playables, but how can I possibly deny a natural 3 bolt attraction couple?!

After makeovers! This lovely lady is Darcy Nolan, Luke Jackson's teenaged lover. Since she's technically his girlfriend, she gets to come to Uni too. Darcy is a Popularity sim who wants to own 5 top lvl businesses. She chose Philosophy as her major and plans on joining the Paranormal career track until her businesses take off. She's always had a high interest in all things sci-fi and paranormal.

And here's Della Harvey, another townie teen that got a free ticket to Uni thanks to her 3 bolt attraction and BFF status with Dixon Jackson. Even though I knew she was going to break up Dixon and Sasha, she did earn her way after all. Della is a Knowledge sim with a LTW to max all skills. Yay for achieving a LTW and IW in one go. That should be no problem. She's majoring in Economics and is going to join the Education career since she has a high interest in school.

And finally, Darlene Dawson. The girlfriend of April Jackson. She turned out to be pretty cute after her makeover. Darlene is a Romance sim who thankfully only wants to become a Hall of Famer. She's decided to major in Drama in order to join the Athletic career.

Right after makeovers, I heard the little "we're best friends" noise followed by heart farting and zoomed in to see Carter Benson and Della Harvey falling for each other. This. Will. Not. Happen. Carter is going to marry Bree Wilcox, and that is that. Besides, Della and Dixon are natural 3 bolters!

But then I saw this. Carter and Della are natural 3 bolters too, in fact Della likes Carter more than Dixon! But I will not let this happen. No siree, Carter is going to be with Bree and that is final.

So, Carter got yet another makeover to change him to match Bree's turn ons. Now he's sporting brown hair and glasses!

And Bree got another makeover as well. She's now got glasses and is always seen wearing formalwear....Carter's favorites.

That fixed things and they are back to being each other's highest attractions. I will not allow these two to break up, darnit!

Speaking of makeovers, might as well show you the other kids. Here's Luke Jackson. Nothing's changed but his clothes. He's majoring in Biology to join his LTW career of Athletics.

Dixon's nose got a little bigger. We can thank his mother Tracey for that large honker. He's majoring in Drama to join his LTW career of Entertainment. And he's back to being Della Harvey's top attraction, thank goodness.

And lastly, here's April Jackson. She's majoring in Drama so she can join the Dance career. Her LTW is to earn $100,000 and dance seems good for that. Especially since April's OTH is music/dance and she has a high interest in culture and entertainment. Sounded like a good fit for her.

Luke and Darcy continued their steamy love affair that started almost the day they became teenagers. They do look cute together.

Dixon and Della continued their ACR'ing instead of studying. Although they both pulled good grades for the majority of their 3 years in this update.

April and Darlene look like their still really into each other too, even though they only share a low 2 bolter attraction. But April's only other higher attraction is a placeholder sim in town, so that's just not possible!

Luke and Dixon still cannot get along, even though they're brothers. They fight constantly still, and it is really hard to get them to do anything else because I'm always having to cancel slap and fight interactions!

In their sophomore year, Dixon and Della rolled these wants which really shocked me. Well, at least I know they are serious about each other and that makes me feel a little better about breaking up Dixon and Sasha.

Sophomore year also brought a new cafeteria worker that set the kitchen on fire at least 2 times per day. That got annoying real quick.

And at the end of sophomore year, Bree maxed all her skills earning her the Knowledge IW. You go girl!

At the start of their junior year, or simday 25 to be exact, the girls and guys split up and formed their own greek organizations. The girls pooled their money together and started the Annya Nagard Sorority. This is their cute, pink chapter house.

Also at the start of their junior year, Bree Wilcox's little sister, Sasha Wilcox, joined them at Uni and began her freshman year. She's majoring in Literature and plans on joining her LTW career of Entertainment.

The sorority house is only big enough for three bedrooms, so there are 2 girls to each room. Of course, April and Darlene didn't mind sharing a room at all!

Thanks to the double bed in April and Darlene's room, most of the couple's started getting a little more intimate during their junior year. Here we have Luke and Darcy in all their censored blurriness.

And then I saw Darcy run to the bathroom the next evening and found her throwing up in the toilet.

I never heard chymes, but sure enough she's pregnant! Oh great. Since 2 Uni semesters = 1 simday in the normal hood, Darcy won't actually have this baby until simday 27, which is the year after she and Luke graduate from Uni. So that's good at least. She just has to go the rest of her junior and senior years in college being pregnant! That would suck big time.

She told Luke the big news, and he was very shocked at first. I don't think he was expecting to be a daddy or to settle down so soon. He's a Pleasure/Popularity sim, after all.

But since she's already pregnant, no need to worry about woohoo'ing any time they want to. So that's a pleasurable bonus to this whole situation, thinks Luke. Darcy seems to agree.

Not nearly as exciting, but Bree maxed her Games hobby enthusiasm and was awarded with the plaque which does count as points for the challenge.

Let's move on to the boy's fraternity, Var Cham. Here's their little chapter house. Hopefully future generations of Var Cham's will add on to it!

Boys will be boys, and these boys are too lazy to cook, so someone is always running to campus and coming back with a pizza. Yep, sounds like real fraternity life to me.

Unfortunately, since there are only 3 guys in Uni at this time, Luke and Dixon are stuck together with no one but Carter to distract them. Their fighting is really getting on my nerves. I can't wait for them to graduate and live separately!

Now that Sasha was at Uni, Dixon finally had to fess up to his relationship and feelings for Della Harvey. He tried to let her down easy, but poor Sasha was devastated.

It was the saddest break up ever, even though I knew it would happen. It also happened to fit right into the Uni ROS that was rolled, where one couple had to break up. So it must have just been meant to be this way.

After breaking up with his teenage sweetheart, Dixon took his new love to Chestnut Park on campus and made Della his official girlfriend. And as always happens when I take my sims on community lots, it started to rain.

He also decided to fulfill both of their dreams and proposed to Della right then and there.

She said yes, of course. And they both went into platinum aspiration.

Aww, at least Dixon has found his true love. Now I just need to find someone for poor little Sasha.

Back at the frat house, Carter took advantage of his new double bed to have some fun with his girlfriend Bree. Luckily, no pregnancies ensued.

Luke invited Darcy over a lot, and is finally warming up to this whole "baby thing".

Dixon and Della are happily engaged, but will be waiting until after graduation to actually tie the knot. And I didn't take anymore pictures of April and Darlene, but they're both going strong in their relationship, while poor Sasha is still single and alone.

Hugh Scott is determined to have 10 children, so last time the Scott's welcomed baby #5; a little girl named Lilly. Diana achieved her IW of maxing all skills, while still trying to work her way up the Gamer track...even though she doesn't get much time to work since she's almost always pregnant. A couple of the kids had birthdays, while Diana found herself pregnant with baby #6 at the end of the round. Also, as a side note, I got tired of kids in this hood being born with crazy skintones that are not my defaults, so I went into SimPE and changed them. You'll see that in the family picture at the end of this round that I changed Holly and Lilly to my normal light default.

This round, the Scott family rolled both a minor ROS and a major one. The major one was obviously for Hugh to become a werewolf! If you can believe it, he's the first werewolf I've ever had in my game! It looks good on him.

Diana is always rolling wants for Hugh to howl, so he goes around howling a lot. Hey, whatever floats her boat.

The minor ROS was for Diana to get a makeover, which I must admit, was much needed. So Hugh's oldest daughter, Adrianna Wilcox, accompanied her pregnant step-mom to the mall to pick out some new clothes.

Her makeover turned out to be awesome! She looks so much better now!

Hugh might be a hairy, scary monster now, but he still loves all his kids. And they don't seem to be too frightened of him. This is baby #5, Lilly.

There's nothing that turns Hugh on more than a pregnant Diana!

Aaron and Holly are still close friends, even though most siblings in this town don't seem to get along or even notice each other's presence.

Adrianna has also been good about building relationships with all her half-siblings. This was her week to live with her dad, so she made the most of it by spending time with the kids.

But, she's also a teenager and has friends outside the home too. Her current BFF is Brooke Merrick, who is only one simday younger than her. They spend a lot of time talking about boys, even though there aren't any playable boys around their age. Well, Aaron Scott is technically around their age. He's one simday younger than Brooke, so maybe those two will strike up a relationship once he has his teen birthday.

Little Joshua had his childhood birthday, and boy is he cute! I think he's going to be a heartbreaker when he gets older!

And baby Lilly turned into toddler Lilly. She's one of the ones who got a skintone change at the end of the round! She's a Gemini (2/8/9/7/4).

Her werewolf daddy immediately starts in on the toddler training. He's got this childcare stuff down to a T.

Joshua maxed his science hobby, which is his OTH.

Which earned him the science hobby plaque. In this challenge you get points for households that have all hobby plaques. So far, the Scotts only have 2.

Remember Diana was pregnant again after last round? Well here comes baby #6!

And it's another girl! They name her Kelly. She's got a tan skintone from her mom, and also brown eyes and brown hair. She is Diana all over!

Life goes on as normal around the house. New babies are not big news around here. Holly makes friends with Lindsay Ward, who is only 2 simdays younger than her.

Aaron brings over Seth Moran for some smustling. Seth is much younger than Aaron, so I don't think they'll have any real friendship until they're adults, if then even.

Diana enjoys a little dancing herself. Still loving her makeover!

Hugh finally reached the top of the Artist career track. It's not his LTW, but it does earn a point for the challenge. Each sim can earn 1 point for topping a career, max 2 careers I believe.

Aaron had his teenage birthday, and looks pretty good. He chooses Family/Romance for his aspirations with "Graduate 3 Kids from College" as his LTW. Just like his dad.

The four oldest kids are getting older by the minute! They're out of the difficult toddler days, but there's still 2 more in the nursery and I'm sure Diana is pregnant again by this point!

Before her pregnancy shows however, Diana is able to sneak in one day of work and comes home with a promotion to Button Masher. At least she's making forward progress, no matter how slow.

And then Diana had a want for Hugh to turn her into a werewolf. If she wanted it, why is she fighting him like that?

Aww, that's better. Now they are happy werewolves in love again.

And they are definitely still as romantic as ever, even in their more boring human forms.

One of the kids had a want to adopt a puppy, so they did. Meet little Princess.

With four kids in school, and Adry moving out next round to go back to live with her mom, Hugh decides it's time to try to get them into Private School. It seems werewolves in their underwear don't lose points with this headmaster.

None of the family even has dinner with the guy. But a visiting neighbor, Jeremy Jackson, does it for them. The Scott's have so many kids that the poor headmaster probably doesn't even realize this isn't one of the kids he came to interview.

The Scott's pass their inspection and the four oldest kids are admitted to the prestigious Private School of Bakersfield.

During the Headmaster's visit, little Kelly turns into a very cute toddler. She's a Virgo (10/4/6/4/10).

And of course, Diana is pregnant again. This time though, the baby was conceived while Hugh was a werewolf but before Diana became one, I'm using a somewhat realistic genetic formula found in this tutorial by rikkulidea to determine if she inherits Hugh's werewolf trait, which would become evident on her teen birthday. So I guess we'll have to wait and see if this baby inherits the werewolf gene!

And the new baby was born on the last day of the round and is yet another girl, with yet another skintone to be fixed! Her name is Rachel and she's got light skin from Hugh, and brown eyes and hair from Diana.

They are back at it again! And of course, Diana becomes pregnant again! This baby will have an even higher chance of being a werewolf since it was conceived while both parents have the werewolf gene. But we won't see this baby until round 6!

Hugh goes to work on the last day and ends up costing the family $10,000 while also losing 2 charisma points on a failed chance card. Way to go there, big guy.

Diana sneaks in another day of work and gets another promotion. This time to Trash Talker. She sure is moving up in the Gaming world! Slow and steady wins the race!

Also on the last day, Lilly had her childhood birthday. Can't wait to see her with her new skintone, though.

Round 5: Jackson-Moran

Last time in the Jackson-Moran household, the two youngest brothers had their childhood birthdays. Teenaged April had her first woohoo with her long-time girlfriend. Tracey is at 16 BFs for her IW, and still can't find a job in the Journalism track for her LTW. Teenaged Dixon found a girl that he has 3 bolts with, but decided to stay with long-time playable girlfriend, Sasha Wilcox, anyway. And lastly, Robin is very close to reaching the top of the Entertainment track and achieving his LTW.

This family actually rolled a minor and a major ROS for round 5. They have to adopt a new large pet, and Robin has to become a good witch for 2 rounds! That ought to add some variety to this hood!

So, the first thing the family did this round was adopt a new large dog, named Petunia. She's very rambunctious and is very hard to keep under control!

But she's a pretty dog, nonetheless.

I was hoping for puppies this round, but Harley does not like Petunia at all. I guess she's just too much for him to handle. He's a very calm doggy.

The three teens are all heading to Uni this round, so they made some time to spend with their significant others before taking that taxi outta here. Luke won't be separated from his townie flame, Darcy Nolan, for very long because she's coming to Uni too. I've decided that anyone that is in a relationship with or has at least BF status with a playable, will grow up with that playable. If they end up marrying into the hood, great. If not, I'll set them somewhere and keep their ages in sync with the playable sims, but I won't update on them or really play them too much. Non-playable playables, I think some people call it.

Dixon, on the other hand, won't be seeing his long time girlfriend, Sasha Wilcox, for quite a while. She won't be going to Uni until next round, but Dixon's three bolter will be going with him. We will have to see if he stays true to Sasha or if he moves on to older women!

For now though, he has a fear of breaking up with Sasha. So they have one last woohoo before he heads off to Uni. They do make a cute couple, I'd hate to see them break up!

The teenagers aren't the only ones with raging hormones this round. Robin and Tracey spent a lot of time woohoo'ing thanks to ACR, but I think and pray that they are done having children. Tracey's not too far away from elderhood, and they no longer Try for Baby.

Tracey's still working on that IW of having 30 best friends, but the stupid wishing well keeps popping out sims that she's already best friends with. So she went from 16 best friends last round to 20 this round. Only 4 new best friends. Stupid wishing well.

Since it's spring this round, Robin takes some time to clean up their garden and plant some crops. But they always get neglected in this family so I'm sure they'll all die.

He also became a good witch, per the ROS. He looks good all sparkly!

The house got an update and an upstairs with a secret lair for Robin and his witchly goods. He spends a lot of time studying the Light arts, and knows quite a few spells already.

He can also make a couple of items and tons of reagents, so the cauldron is always going too.

The teens spent one or two of the days of this round still at home, and they had some visitors one afternoon. Adrianna Wilcox and Hannah Merrick came over, but both girls are way too young for these teens. They'll have to wait for the younger Moran boys to age up. I believe Jeremy is one day off from Hannah, so maybe we'll see a romance between them next round?

Time for the teens to apply to college! April has a ton of skills, but none of them over 7, so she didn't get many scholarships. Dixon actually got the most money from scholarships.

Before the teens move out, Tracey comes home with a promotion to Senior Officer. She still can't find a job in the Journalism career track for her LTW and she's running out of time! She continues to climb the Military ladder anyway.

It was finally time for the teens to move to Uni, and thank goodness. I'm so sick of Dixon and Luke fighting all the time! I'm not sure yet how the living arrangements are going to be at Uni, but I think I'll try to keep these two in separate households!

And away they go! Tracey actually ran out to say goodbye to each of them when their taxi's came. She's gonna miss her three oldest kids!

But with them gone, she has a lot more time to spend with her youngest boys, Jeremy and Seth.

Robin starts practicing spell casting.

He decides to practice on his lovely wife, but the spell fails. He eventually got it right and put her in a very good mood with a flick of his wand.

And thanks to the mood boost, Tracey comes home with another promotion. This time to Commander!

The house is noticeably quieter without the three oldest Jackson kids. A lot of their time is spent skilling, and other than Robin's witchcraft, the house got a little boring!

Seth is just happy that he can finally have a turn at darts. The older boys were always hogging it.

Petunia tries to keep things lively and loud. She loves chasing that RC race car!

This is just a random picture of two townies falling in love. I always think that's so cute when they do it on their own.

Harley misses the older kids. He sits on Dixon's old bed for hours, like he's just waiting for Dixon to come home. So sad!

Tracey gets a chance card right and gains membership to some secret hobby lot.

And then she comes home with a promotion to Astronaut! She's nearly at the top of the career! And being an astronaut is pretty cool anyway.

Petunia took a job in the Service career and got a chance card right on her very first day. She earned a promotion to Therapy Pet! Good job Petunia!

And there it is.

So remember how Robin was practicing his spell casting? Well it started raining one day and Robin cast a spell to make the rain go away and the sun to come out. Little did he know a tree had been struck by lightning and caught on fire. Well, without the rain to put out the fire, it raged out of control. Tracey ran to call the fire department and Robin went out to cast spells to put the fire out. He was successful on all the fires, but unfortunately he got caught in the very last one and some glitch was preventing any of my other sims of putting it out.

So...he died. You can see the smoke from his burning corpse if you look hard enough! Tracey pleads for his life of course. He's too young to die!

She plays a game with the Grim Reaper......cue the suspense....

And wins! Go Tracey! Thatta girl!

So Robin gets to come back to life, and the happy couple are reunited. I'm so glad he didn't die!

That's it for the drama of this update. But Jeremy, the 2nd generation Jackson heir, had his teen birthday. He definitely inherited his mother's nose and it doesn't suit him as well as it suits her. Maybe he'll get plastic surgery one day. Anyway, he chose Knowledge as his aspiration and his LTW is to reach the top of the Oceanography career. He likes mechanically-minded girls who wear fancy clothes, but hates them to wear any makeup. Hannah Merrick is his same age, but Holly Scott is only 2 simdays younger than him. I wonder which one he'll choose to date? Maybe neither of them, but I hope he has chemistry with one of them. I like my playables to marry each other!

Robin was one promotion away from earning his LTW, and then he failed this chance card. I was terrified that he was going to be fired, but he just had to pay a fine. Whew, that would have really pissed me off!

Luckily, he came home with that final promotion to Prestidigitator and achieved his LTW. Great job Robin, it's about time!

And here's the family at the end of the round, minus their two dogs. It feels so empty without the three older kids! That's it for this round, thanks for reading! The Scott family is up next!

Round 5: Merrick-Ward

Last time in the Merrick-Ward household, there were lots of birthdays since there are lots of kids in that household! Leslie continued working her way towards her IW of maxing all skills and her LTW of becoming the City Planner. Daniel achieved his first LTW of maxing all skills which also earned him his Knowledge IW, and then he switched jobs to work on his LTW of becoming the General of the military. At the end of the update, the family got a big surprise when Leslie found out she was pregnant yet again!
I've also decided to incorporate ROS rolls into my Prosperity Challenge to give a little diversity and fun for these family updates. So this is the first roll for that and the family rolled to gain a roommate, so you'll see that later in the round. I'm also thinking of changing aging rates for teens, so that change might be coming up in future updates. We'll see!

We start this round off with a mid-way pregnant Leslie. Her secondary is grilled cheese and she had many grilled cheese cravings during this pregnancy!

Lindsay spent a lot of time on the phone with Aaron Scott this time around, although I wish Brooke or Hannah would become better friends with him. He's way too old for Lindsay, but he's the perfect age for her sisters!

You'll see lots of job promotions this round because Daniel and Leslie are so skilled. Daniel is blowing through the Military career. Here he is with a promotion to Junior Officer.

On simday 21, the first day of the round, the oldest Merrick child Brooke had her teen birthday. The boys of Bakersfield better watch out, cause she's one hot mama! She picked Fortune/Family as her aspirations and her LTW is to reach the top of the Entertainment career. She likes her men in swimwear and good at cleaning, but hates hard workers.

I expected her to hit the town to find some boys, but of course she hits the bookcase instead. This family is addicted to skilling!

Leo's OTH is cuisine, so he's getting a head start on that skill. He's actually pretty good at muffin making already!

Leslie finally earned her Knowledge IW of maxing all skills!

Brooke failed a chance card and lost some music and dance enthusiasm. No biggie there.

Daniel's moving right up and gets promoted to Counter Intelligence.

Hannah picks a very inappropriate time to show her parents her A+ report card! At least we know Leslie can't get pregnant again since she already is!

And it's time for baby Ward #5! You'd think after having so many babies it'd get a little easier!

And it's yet another girl! This one is named Ashley and she's got a much lighter skintone than all her sisters, but still that brown hair and dark blue eyes.

Everyone was hoping for a baby boy, but a baby is a happy thing no matter what. Leo was a little disappointed though. He's got enough sisters as it is!

It was about this time that Daniel got a call from his younger brother, Andrew, or Drew for short. Drew decided to move to Bakersfield and it was a perfect time for him to move in and help out with all the kids!

He got along great with all the kids right away. Leo likes him a lot since he's tired of playing with girls all the time!

The kids don't really need much looking after. They tend to keep themselves pretty entertained.

Unfortunately, on his first day in town, Drew made enemies with Larke Wilcox by spying on her with the telescope. Too bad too, because they would have been a cute couple!

Daniel keep working right along and gets promoted to Flight Officer.

Leo actually gets a chance card right and gains some Science enthusiasm.

Leslie's turn for a promotion! Here she is getting promoted to Architectural Partner.

Daniel decided to take his brother out on the town and try to find him some available women to date. They started out at the Pizza Place.

They've got a great arcade there, and the brothers had a great time acting like teenagers again.

And then they ran into Larke Wilcox. Drew was not happy to see her, but Daniel told him how hot Larke was inside and outside of the bedroom (he had an affair with her back in round 3 if you remember).

Drew thought better of his decision to hate the vixen that is Larke Wilcox, and decided to try to apologize and repair his relationship with her. He does have 3 bolts with her, after all.

Next stop for the boy's night out, was the coffee shop. Daniel talked about finding Drew a job. Drew's LTW is to become a Business Tycoon, but until he finds a position in the business field he's desperate to find anything that will pay some money.

Daniel suggested taking a part time job at the coffee shop until he found a permanent position in the business field, and that's just what Drew did. At least he can pay for dates with Larke once she forgives him.

Through all of the hub-bub in the Merrick-Ward household, Daniel and Leslie are still in love with each other as they ever were. 3 bolts and all. Thankfully, they can't get pregnant again since Drew moving in maxed out the household (unless I installed that more than 8 sims hack, which I don't remember if I did or not!).

Daniel keeps moving up and gets promoted to Senior Officer.

And Leslie becomes a Master Architect.

With all the kids except baby Ashley at school age, it was time for the family to try to get into the prestigious private school.

The house tour was no problem since this family has a ton of money and every room is decorated. And since they all skill all the time, a delicious lobster thermidore dinner was no problem at all either.

So the 4 oldest Merrick/Ward kids were excepted into private school.

Brooke's best friend is Adrianna Wilcox, daughter of Larke Wilcox and Hugh Scott. This is important because she is at the Merrick house all the time.

And ACR decided that Drew would have a high chemistry with her and become her first woohoo! This is very bad for a couple of reasons. One, Adrianna is a teenager and never woohoo'd before. Two, Adrianna is Drew's niece's best friend. And three, Adrianna is Larke's daughter....and Drew is trying to start a relationship with Larke! Oh what a tangled web we weave when we install ACR!

Larke finally decided to forgive Drew for his little peeping tom stunt, but she clearly does not know about how he took her daughter's W-card. But I checked her attraction panel and Drew and Larke are each other's highest attractions! They're meant to be together, since you know how many men Larke has been with!

Anyway, back to boring stuff...Daniel got promoted to Commander.

Leo lost a chance card, half a letter grade and $25. That sucks.

But on the bright side, Leslie was promoted to the top of the architecture career and became the City Planner which achieved her LTW!

On the last day of the round, the second Merrick daughter, Hannah, had her teen birthday and became almost as pretty as her big sister. She chose Popularity/Family as her aspiration and wants to own 5 top level businesses. She loves creative blond guys, but hates it if they wear makeup.

Also on the last day, baby Ashley became a toddler. I'm a little worried about those cheeks, but who knows. Maybe she'll become the prettiest Merrick/Ward girl of them all!

And that's it for this round. I think I'm going to cut the teen years down to either 8 or 10 days, so these teens should go to Uni sooner than the previous teens of Bakersfield. Drew moving in was the ROS for this family this round, but something tells me he'll be moving in with Larke Wilcox next round. As always, thanks for reading!

Round 5: Benson

I know it's been awhile since my last update, but I've had this one sitting ready to be posted for months. So, here it is! Last time with the Benson family, the 3rd and 4th generations of the plantsim legacy were born, the elderly Mona continued to work on her LTW and IW, finally achieving her LTW of having 20 lovers, and Mona drank some elixir of life to last another round in hopes of getting that Romance IW!

Here's our dear Carter, studying hard for his last year of high school. He will join his long time girlfriend, Bree Wilcox, at Uni later this round.

To generate some money, Mona and Azalea work on some painting skills in the hopes of selling some masterpieces.

There's nothing really for plantsims to do during the evening hours, so Hyacinth builds some body skill while poor Carter is still studying for his high school finals.

The other idea the plantsims of this household had was to open up a flower shop! But to do that, they needed to work on their flower arranging skills. So Lavender and Hyacinth were put to work making flower arrangements while Azalea kept producing and selling masterpieces to afford their new hobby!

Meanwhile, Mona kept working on her IW of having 30 lovers, so here she is gaining #26 with exterminator Haven Madison.

The girls got their bronze flower arranging badges in no time.

And Ashley Pitts made love #27 for Mona.

Everyone also tried to spend as much time as they could with Carter since he'd be leaving for Uni soon. He's always been the favorite in the family, mostly because he practically raised all these plantsims by himself!

Carter applied for Uni and got a total of $4000 in scholarships. Go Carter!

On his last day of high school, Carter won some arts and crafts enthusiasm due to a lucky chance card.

And off he goes to Uni, where he will live in a dorm with other crazy college kids and get into all sorts of trouble! We will see him later on this round.

After Carter's departure, there really was nothing to do but skill. So the girls gained their silver flower badges.

While Mona made Jimmy Phoenix her 28th lover.

And Bran Ward became #29, but the game counts her first memory of mystery sim as 1, so he actually makes #30!

So CAS elder Mona achieved her LTW and her Romance IW of having 30 loves! What a life Mona...what a life!

Mona spends her last days with her family. 4th generation plantsim, Dandelion is about to become an adult.

But the family spends some quality time with her before her birthday. She was pretty much forgotten in the household after Carter moved to Uni.

She grew up into a very pretty plantsim even though she was neglected most of her life.

And she got right to work on producing the 5th generation of the plantsim legacy! That's the only thing these plantsims count for in this challenge, ya know.

And this time it was finally a boy! His name is Hemlock, and he's adorable!

Somewhere along the line, Mona maxed the nature hobby and got the plaque for it. I think you get points for having plaques, I don't really remember but I'll have to go back and check!

Now that she didn't need to wish for lovers anymore, Mona put the wishing wells to good use by wishing for money so the girls could start their flower shop.

The girls are just about ready for that flower shop. They've got gold badges and a TON of inventory!

Too bad Mona won't be around to see the flower shop or the end of her plantsim legacy, but she had a longer life than most CAS elders, so it's about time she sees ol' Grimmy! Farewell Mona!

Mona left money to quite a few people, 35 to be exact with her daughter Lavender getting the majority of it.

With Mona gone, the plantsims went back to work making money to open their flower shop.

But they did have a nice little funeral for Mona, their beloved matriarch. She is buried in the St. Eclair Cemetery right next to her old lover and friend Ruben Wilcox.

The girls finally opened their flower shop, called Le Fleur.

They mostly sell flower arrangements but they also have some naturally grown produce for sale as well.

Lavender and Hyacinth mostly concentrate on keeping things restocked and making sales to the customers, while Azalea tends the cash register.

Bronze sales badges for our two sales women.

Le Fleur made it's first sale and reached business rank 1 in no time at all.

Azalea was a little slow at the cash register at first, but she'll get used to it in time.

They even got a good review from the reporter!

And business rank 2 was soon to follow.

And to end this update, the sales girls earned their silver sales badges. They must have been working hard!

The Benson household is full of plantsims now. Carter's off to University, but he will return to claim the Benson household and name once he graduates. Thanks for reading and hopefully I can find some time soon to play the next family!

Baby Corbin has arrived!

I finally had my baby on Wednesday, April 17th! (For those of you who didn't know, I was pregnant!) He's here and he's beautiful! We were in the hospital for a little over a week. He was in the NICU for some breathing and heart issues, but he was finally cleared and is just perfect. I brought him home yesterday, and am so happy to be home! Now I'm adjusting to a life with two boys and have never been happier (or sleepier!). I don't have any pictures to post right this second, but I'll probably get one up when I have more time.

I've also got a Bakersfield update ready to be posted, I just have to catch an hour to write it up! Hope you all are well, and get ready for some comment spamming on your blogs as I get caught up with the last week's worth of updates!

Round 5: Wilcox

Last time with the Wilcox family, Adrianna lived with the household, worked on her gardening skill with her grandpa Ruben and grew into a teen. Larke continued to work on her LTW and IW of having lots of lovers finally achieving her LTW of woohooing 20 sims, while her daughters worked on their own relationships as well as built skills in preparation for Uni. Ruben passed away at the end of the round, and we miss him already!

Bree and Sasha are still skilling right along in preparation for Uni. Bree will leave the household during this rotation and Sasha will start her Uni years next time.

While her girls were busy studying, Larke continued to rack up the notches on her bedpost by using both wishing wells daily.

Exterminator Haven Madison (what a name!) joined the ranks of Larke's lovers. He became love #13.

He also earned Larke her second LTW of having 20 best friends!

Next up was Bran Harman for love #14.

And Elliott Nichols made love #15.

Finally, Sullivan Vijayakar made #16. 4 new loves in one simday...not too shabby Larke!

After a day full of falling in love, Larke spent some time taking care of Ruben's garden. It gets very neglected since he passed away, especially since Adrianna is living with her father this round.

Larke's oldest daughter, Bree, is moving to Uni soon so she called up her boyfriend Carter for one last booty call.

They sure did make the most of their last night as teens together. Carter will be moving to Uni too this round, so I'm sure there will be lots more booty calls as YA's.

Larke gets lucky on a chance card and earns a new friend.

She also came home with a promotion to Symphony Conductor.

Bree finally applied to college and won $5,500 in scholarships. Go Bree!

She moved to Uni on simday 22, but don't worry. We'll see her and her Uni adventures later this round.

The house feels so empty now with just Larke and Sasha living in it. Sasha spends all her free time building skills. As a Knowledge sim she's working on the IW of maxing all 7 skills as well as aiming for scholarships.

On simday 23, Larke reached the top of the Music career track and is now a Rock God!

Later that night she fell in love with Amar Hamilton for love #17.

And also with Matthew Jephson for #18.

Phoenix Go became #19 the next day.

And Mason Clifford, the gardening representative, became #20 soon after.

Max Thrasher, who has hooked up with almost all my playable adult/elder females, became #21.

And to end that day, Orson Cohen became Larke's #22 love.

Once it's too late in the evening for visitors, Larke finally decides to spend some time with her daughter. Sasha is well on her way to maxing all skills.

The last day of the round sees more love in the air for Larke, as waiter Conner Giles becomes #23.

Jordan Elliott makes #24.

Larke gets some help making relationships with the super cool glowy glasses, although she really doesn't need the help. She's a love machine all on her own!

Sasha finally achieved her impossible want of maxing all 7 skills!

Now that she's got nothing else to do, she finally has time for her boyfriend Dixon Jackson. He comes over to celebrate her achievement.

They sure know how to celebrate! Dixon will be going to Uni ahead of Sasha though, so I'm not sure these two will end up together in the future.

And to end the round, Larke makes one more love. Duncan Carpenter brings her to 25 loves. 5 more to go and she'll achieve the Romance impossible want of 30 loves.

That does it for round 5 of the Wilcox family. After next round, we shouldn't see anymore men coming into Larke's life so hopefully she'll finally be ready to settle down. Sasha will move off to Uni sometime next round, and we'll catch up with Bree in Uni later this round. Thanks for reading!

This is the skating rink where the Merrick-Ward family visited during the last round. This rustic community lot offers year round skating, a chic restaurant complete with a romantic outdoor dining patio for the warmer months, and some cute little shoppes for your sims and their guilty pleasures!

There is a lot of CC included, mostly recolors of objects and some floors and walls. Use Clean Installer to pick and choose what you want! I've play tested it and it seems to work fine, but as always, let me know if you find any issues with it.

Bakersfield: Start of Round 5

Winter will soon be giving way to spring, and the residents of Bakersfield are ready for an end to all that snow! The neighborhood hasn't changed much over the last round. A few of the houses got a little bigger, but we should see some even bigger changes after this round as the first set of college kids will be attending Uni this round!

The town centre saw 2 new additions this past round. The St. Eclair's Cemetery in the upper left corner and the Brownie Square at the center right of the picture, which offers year round skating rinks and shoppes. I'll be giving a tour and download of that lot in the next update! A little coffee shop was also added in the top square of the picture, but I haven't visited it or decorated it yet, so it doesn't technically count! Also, you will notice that I've changed my picture editing. The rounded corners just started to take too long and this way is much simpler!

Round 4: Scott

Last time with the Scott family, Hugh worked on his impossible want of having 10 kids by adding 2 more kids to his family. That's a total of 4 kids so far for good ol' Hugh. Diana worked on her IW of maxing all skills, and they both tried to rack up the promotions at work, although Diana was on maternity leave for most of it! Let's check in with this busy family for round 4.

Diana is still working on those skill points. The poor girl must have awful hat-hair since she wears that thinking cap 24/7. Aaron is used to it and works on his dancing/smustling skill!

Hugh is still chugging along in the Artist career track. He's doing really well and adds to the family's income by cranking out masterpieces in his off time.

Toddler Holly is a very serious and grouchy sim, but you'd never know it. She's always happy and bubbly from what I've seen!

Here comes baby #5 for Hugh and Diana! Just a refresher, Hugh has a daughter with fellow playable Larke Wilcox that I count towards his "have 10 kids" IW. So even though this will only be Diana's 4th baby, it's Hugh's 5th.

Pregnancy doesn't slow Diana down. She's right back to skilling!

And in no time at all, she achieves her impossible want of maxing all skills. Woohoo! That's another point for the challenge.

And she can finally take that darn thinking cap off!

Now she puts her maternity leave free time to work making new friends and keeping up old friendships. Hugh needs lots of friends to get more promotions in the Artist career.

She also spends her time taking care of the kidlets. That's not the new baby, that's still little Joshua. He'll be having a birthday soon!

Diana's friend making skills paid off when Hugh came home with a promotion to Acclaimed Muralist.

And Joshua finally has his birthday. Such a cutie! He's a Capricorn (10-7-4-7-4).

He's definitely an outgoing and playful kid. And with 10 neat points, he should end up being a big help around the house when he grows up.

Aaron is happy that his little brother is old enough to play with now. He was getting tired of playing with all those stinky girls!

Diana gets to work toddler training.

Smart milk helps big time!

Hugh is really the best family sim I think I've ever had. He sure loves those kiddos and spends a ton of time with each of them.

And somehow Hugh and Diana still find time for romance. These two are like rabbits I tell you. She's already pregnant, but they're at it again.

A correct chance card earns Hugh some music/dance enthusiasm.

Holly had a birthday this round also. She's adorable!

There's a better picture of her sweet little face.

And she takes after her daddy with her love of art. Sports is her OTH, but she's always painting on that easel.

Hugh brought home another promotion and is now a Conceptual Artist.

The Scott family finally sees some snowfall, and Aaron is the first one to rush out to have some fun.

Hugh follows soon after and the boys get into an epic snowball fight!

Which leads to Aaron almost dying of frostbite. Hugh freaks out and rushes his oldest son up to the bath for a quick warm up before the social worker tries to take all the kids away!

Diana's pregnancy is moving right along.

And it's finally time for the new baby! Here we go!

It's another girl! Baby Lilly has the same light skintone as big sister Holly, but she's got brown hair!

And it's time to start working on baby #6! We can't waste any time.

While they're parents are "busy", Aaron and Holly sneak a quick scary movie on the TV. And this is exactly why they're not allowed to watch scary movies! Holly won't be able to sleep for weeks and Aaron is frozen in fear!

Hugh is happy to have a baby in the house again. They grow up so fast.

Diana decides to take up a hobby to fill her spare time during maternity leave. She builds a model train city and plays for hours!

Aaron has been making friends with the Merrick-Ward girls. Hopefully he can find a girlfriend in one of them when they get bigger.

Holly gets to know the oldest Merrick girl, Brooke. Brooke is much older than her, but for now they can be friends.

I think Brooke really only comes over to play on the model train set. She spent hours up there and Diana finally had to send her home.

Hugh's oldest daughter, Adrianna Wilcox, came by for a quick visit. She got to meet her new baby sister and bring some stuff over for the next round when she'll be living with Hugh and Diana. Hugh and Larke have joint custody with her, so next round will be Hugh's round with his daughter.

Holly was just a little tyke the last time Adry lived there. So now the sisters take some time to get to know each other again.

And there we have it. The Scott family is definitely growing. Next time we'll see Adry living with them too, and the birth of baby #6! Thanks for reading!

Round 4: Jackson-Moran

Last time with this household, Tracey Jackson married her townie lover and baby-daddy Robin Moran. They had a beautiful ceremony and reception at the new casino/hotel in town. The three Jackson teenagers continued having fun in their romantic lives and all three have significant others now. Tracey and Robin welcomed their second child, another boy who looks very similar to the first son they had in the previous round. Let's see what this family can do this round!

This round started off well for Luke and Dixon Jackson. The brothers are usually always fighting, but they spent some good quality time on the basketball court in the backyard. I really thought they were going to end up being friends finally!

But it didn't last long. The next morning, they were back to fighting.

When not at work, Robin had his hands full with the new baby. Baby Seth looks just like his daddy!

Robin tends to work nights in the Entertainment career, so he gets to take care of the two youngest kids during the day. Jeremy is still a toddler and Robin always enjoys spending time with him too. Like father, like son!

Robin also seems able to find time for a good work out most mornings. I don't know how he does it with a baby and a toddler at home! But he's one busy man, that's for sure.

The family dog, Harley, answers a chance card correctly and brings home a much needed $4,500! Hurray!

Tracey spends a lot of her spare time training Harley for the skills he needs for that next promotion. That's not an easy thing to do when you've got a house full of kids and a full time job.

The youngest Moran, Seth, had his toddler birthday. He's a handsome little fella for sure. He has a completely different personality than his big brother. He's a Taurus (7-5-3-8-3).

And Robin gets right to work on toddler training with Seth. Smart milk is a life-saver in this household.

Tracey gets plenty of cuddle time with her boys. Two toddlers in the house definitely require a lot of time and attention.

The teenagers really just take care of themselves these days. April is still going strong with her girlfriend, Darlene Dawson.

They're going so strong in fact that they had their first woohoo together on the very first day of this round.

Tracey is still working on her impossible want of having 30 best friends. She uses the wishing well once a day, but it keeps spitting out the same three townies for her to be-friend. By the end of the round, she's only at 16 best friends.

It is so difficult to keep Luke and Dixon away from each other. Even if one is busy, the other usually stalks him until I force him to do something else! That is so inefficient and unproductive. I can't wait for these two to live in separate households!

In stark contrast to their fighting big brothers, the youngest Jackson-Moran boys are the best of friends. Little Jeremy and Seth can always be found playing together or giving huggles!

Hopefully they'll always stay like this. I don't think I can handle another set of enemies in the same household.

Jeremy has a love for Harley's dog food. So cute!

April fails a chance card, but only loses a little bit of money in the process.

Now there's only one toddler left in the household. Jeremy had his next birthday and became a handsome kid.

He immediately wanted to make some money by selling lemonade. Future Fortune sim, perhaps?

Robin tried to persuade Tracey to have another baby, but she wasn't buying into it. There were no chimes in the household this time around!

Tracey is too focused on her career right now. Her LTW is to reach the top of the Journalism career, but she's currently working in the Military until something opens up. So she's working hard to move up in the military ranks.

She's also got her hands full with all the other kids they have. She simply doesn't have time for another baby right now!

Jeremy also likes star-gazing. Perhaps he's destined to father an alien baby when he grows up.

Dixon answers a hobby chance card correctly and gains some tinkering enthusiasm.

All of Tracey's hard work pays off and she's promoted to Flight Officer.

Dixon is currently dating Sasha Wilcox, but he recently met this townie named Della Harvey. They have a whopping 3 bolts together! I really want my playables to hook up with each other, but it's hard to ignore a 3-bolt relationship!

Dixon finds it very hard to ignore too. We'll just have to give this some time and see what he wants to do!

Even with his busy home life, Robin was able to get a promotion at work. He's now a Headliner!

Luke is still seeing his townie flame, Darcy Nolan. They seem to be doing quite well.

Tracey gets to work training Jeremy on the obstacle course. It's never too early to start building those skills!

April gets caught spying on Larke Wilcox one evening. Larke often has many interesting visitors at her house, so it's no wonder April couldn't help herself. But Larke was not happy about it at all!

On the last day of the round, Seth grew up to a child. He looks very similar to his big brother.

Although Tracey is sad that there's no babies or toddlers left in the house, she really enjoys her boys now that they're older. I'm not sure she wants to have anymore babies at all!

Jeremy and Seth are still very close, thank goodness. They keep things loud and busy in the house and smustle sounds can always be heard!

They definitely look a lot alike, but still have some noticeable differences. Seth definitely has a darker skintone.

Round 4: Merrick-Ward

Last time with the Merrick household, Leslie Merrick married her townie love Daniel Ward in a beautiful ceremony held at St. Eclair's Cathedral. They already had two daughters prior to getting married and it didn't take long to add another daughter and an alien son to the family. They all continued skilling as this family tends to do, and many a promotion was had at work for both Daniel and Leslie. Let's see what they can get up to this time around.

The oldest Merrick child is Brooke. She's into skilling and all things knowledge just like her parents. It will be interesting to see if she follows in their footsteps when she gets to pick an aspiration.

Hannah is the next oldest and we're still discovering her new little personality. She is really playful and active, so she should be lots of fun as she gets older. The youngest two kids, Leo and Lindsay Ward, are still babies.

Leslie is still trying to climb the Architecture career ladder. It's her LTW career, so she loves it. She's currently a Foreman at the construction company she works at.

Daniel is still trucking along at the police station where he is currently a Lieutenant.

Let the promotions begin! Leslie is now the Head of the Construction Company.

Brooke is doing great in school. She never misses her homework and all that skilling goes a long way too.

For being a Knowledge sim, Daniel sure does spend a lot of time helping with their brood of children. He especially loves spending time with the babies.

Hannah had a birthday and became a very active child! She's a cutie pie for sure.

Lindsay was the next one to have a birthday and she became an adorable toddler. She's a Sagittarius (2-3-9-7-4) which is very similar to her big sister Hannah's personality. They're not quite clones but only by 3 nice points.

Leo had a birthday too. He's a Virgo (10-3-0-2-10).

It's not quite time for Brooke to become a teen, but you can tell that she's getting close. She spends a lot of time on the phone lately.

With toddlers come toddler training, and having two toddlers at the same time means that Daniel and Leslie are busy little bees!

Hannah is showing her playful personality a lot more now that she's a child. She plays with toys way more than her older sister Brooke ever did.

Of course, that could be because Brooke has always been so interested in skill building. Not a day goes by that she isn't working on one skill or another.

Lindsay might just be her mother's favorite. Leslie can always be found playing with Lindsay, when she's not skilling that is.

The older girls take advantage of the winter season and have some fun time in the snow.

Brooke can be a little feisty at times, and poor Hannah tends to catch the brunt of it.

"What the heck is wrong with that girl?" Hannah thinks, after being hit in the face with a snowball.

Sweet little Lindsay just entertains herself while her older siblings try to kill each other outside.

Daniel makes a correct choice on a chance card and earns a promotion to SWAT Team Leader!

And there it is.

Leslie does well at work on her own and comes home with a promotion to Architect's Apprentice.

With their parents busy at work and skilling, the toddlers tend to be neglected on occasion. Nannies are good for nothing, ya know.

Hannah made a new friend at school. Playable neighbor, Aaron Scott, became her best friend in no time.

Hmmm, could we possibly see a romance blossom between these two in the coming teenage years? They'd sure be cute together.

Another day, another promotion for Leslie. She's now a Draftsman.

Hannah takes over entertaining the toddlers while her parents are busy. She's a good big sister.

She also convinces her big sister Brooke to take some time from skilling to have a little childhood fun, like jumping on the bed!

Brooke has found that she has a love for the outdoors. Nature is her OTH.

Daniel finally maxed all 7 skills and earned his LTW. Hurray! His new LTW is to reach the top of the Military career.

Still working on maxing all of her skills, Leslie goes back and forth between stargazing and then working out once she starts to freeze from the winter weather!

With all of their new promotions this round, Leslie and Daniel were able to redecorate their bedroom. It had never been touched since they moved to town, so it was a welcome change!

And another promotion for Leslie replenished the funds they spent on their new bedroom. She's now an Architect!

And Daniel followed suit with a promotion of his own. He's now the new Police Chief of Bakersfield, but only until he can find a job in the Military.

I thought these two were done having kids, but they had other ideas. Thanks to ACR, Daniel and Leslie will be welcoming baby #5 next round!

Better finish training those toddlers before the new baby comes!

Leo is the cutest little alien. I just realized I gave him the same hair as his father. Woops.

Daniel finally found a job in the Military, his new LTW career choice.

Having maxed all his skills it shouldn't take him long to work his way up to the top. He came home with a promotion on his very first day. He's now a Drill Instructor.

On the last day of the round, Lindsay had another birthday. I think she's my favorite Merrick/Ward kid of them all!

And of course, that means Leo had a birthday too. He's still as handsome as ever!

To celebrate their birthdays, Leslie and Daniel took all the kids to the new ice skating park in town. I'll have to take some pics and show it to you sometime soon.

While the kids got ready for skating, Leslie and Daniel took advantage of their alone time for a little romance. I think they're still my favorite couple in town!

Brooke and Leo had no trouble skating. They are naturals on the ice!

Hannah and Lindsay had a little more trouble with it. Poor Lindsay could barely stay up at all.

Leslie and Daniel decided not to skate, and instead found a quiet little bench to cuddle on while watching all of their kids skate. What a fun family night out!

That's it for the update, but I figured I'd show you this pic to show the three sisters. They look an awful lot a like, but they're definitely not clones. So that's good. I think Leslie and Daniel are in for some trouble once these girls hit their teen years!

Round 4: Benson

Last time with the Benson family, Mona's plantsim daughter Lavender grew up and had a baby plant of her own named Hyacinth. Mona reached 16 loves and needs 4 more for her LTW and 14 more loves for her impossible want. Carter continued dating Bree Wilcox. And Hyacinth grew up at the end of the round!

Like I said, Hyacinth grew up at the end of the last round and she had her own little plantbaby at the beginning of this round. Another girl, this time named Azalea, brings in generation 3 for the plantsim legacy.

Little Azalea looks a lot like her mommy. I love those eyes!

Hyacinth is a great mommy. Carter usually plays a big role in the toddler plantsims lives because I usually keep the plantsims busy in the garden. But being winter time, there's not as much garden work to do!

The Benson family followed the Wilcox family's lead and earned a second wishing well to help Mona along with her LTW and IW. Double wishes coming right up!

She got right down to business and wished for some romance.

Chandler Cohen was happy to have his first kiss with Mona.

And his first woohoo, too. He makes #17 for Mona.

Mona might be focused on racking up all those lovers, but she still has time for her great-granddaughter Azalea.

But after a quick cuddle with Azalea, it's back to work for Mona. Gary Fratster becomes #18.

Having an outdoor garden in the middle of winter isn't the best of ideas, but Carter tries his best.

And he gets his bronze gardening badge for his futile efforts.

Mona and her plantsim family try to bring the garden back to life, but it's really not worth all the work!

A winning chance card gives Carter some extra vegetables and $100. I always seem to lose big and win small!

Duncan Carpenter makes #19 for Mona.

Which earns her the 20 lovers LTW. Yay Mona! Her new LTW is to have 6 grandchildren. I don't know if those plantsims count towards that, but if so she should be close to getting that one as well.

Even though she completed her LTW, Mona still needs 10 more loves to achieve the romance impossible want. So, Mark Trimble becomes #20. I'm not sure if the mystery sim first love counts towards the IW, so we'll see.

Carter maxed his Film & Literature hobby and earned another plaque.

Elder/teen love relationships don't normally bother me because it's just a game and it adds more options to fulfill those hard LTWs. But when Mona hooked up with playable teen Luke Jackson, I was definitely a little creeped out. He makes love #21 for her.

She spent so much time outside with him that she almost froze to death!

After warming up a bit, she got right back out there and made Phoenix Go #22.

Carter finds some time to entertain his inner child and builds a cute snowman.

Evil warlock Terrence Williamson became #23.

Carter didn't see much of his girlfriend, Bree Wilcox, this round. But he did meet some nice new girls around town. He's got a little chemistry with this cute girl, but nothing happens between them.

He liked this girl a little too.

But he blew his chances with her, big time.

In the end, he realized that he just doesn't want anybody but Bree. He loves her!

This made me very happy because I love these two together. I hope they can make it through the crazy college years and still end up together.

Azalea finally grew up into a very pretty plant-lady.

And she brought forth the 4th generation of plantsims. Here's little girl, Dandelion. Another cutie!

Mona's still hard at work on that 30 loves impossible want. Sullivan Vijayakar makes #24.

And Haven Spears (what a name!) makes #25.

With only 5 more loves to go to reach her impossible want, Mona takes one more sip of the elixir of life. Looks like we'll have another round with her after all!

Round 4: Wilcox

Wow, it's been quite a while since I've posted, and I'm sorry for that. But I've played all the way through Round 4, so I should be posting pretty regularly again. Last time with the Wilcox family, Larke's daughter Adrianna went to live with her father for the round, but she's back to stay with her Wilcox side of the family this round. The girls got into private school while Ruben worked on gaining more best friends and Larke worked on gaining more lovers.

Ruben is nearing the end of his life, so he focuses on spending time with his granddaughters while trying to pass on as much knowledge as he can. He's happy to have his youngest granddaughter, Adrianna, living with them again this round.

All that gardening earned him a gold gardening badge!

Sometime ago, Ruben made enemies out of Daniel Ward. It was over something stupid like spying with the telescope. Now Daniel constantly stalks the house and steals their paper. Bad Daniel!

Oh no, is it a heart attack?! Nope, he's just whistling! Whew.

Adry fits right in with her big sisters. There's always lots of skilling going on in this house. In all my houses, really.

But there's lots of fun to be had in this house too. Ruben and Adry really became close and spent a lot of time together.

Sasha is still enjoying her new teenhood, and can be found admiring her new form in the mirror at all hours.

Her boyfriend, Dixon Jackson, is also appreciative of her form. These two are still dating and are still very much in love.

With two teenagers, the Wilcox house is always full of people. Of course, Larke brings home her fair share of lovers that clog the hallways, as does all of Ruben's best friends.

Speaking of best friends, Ruben finally reached the Popularity impossible want of having 30 of them! That's a point for the challenge! Go Ruben!

Bree kept on studying and maxed some skills.

Larke kept on wishing for romance in the wishing well. That thing is a life saver I tell you.

This guy, however, was not her most shining moment. Yikes.

His name is Jesse Miguel and he makes woohoo #13 for Larke.

Continuing my tradition of failing chance cards, poor Sasha loses some film and literature enthusiasm.

Mason Clifford makes #14 for Larke. At least he's cute.

Cute he might be, but Larke's daughters like to tease her lovers. Here Bree blames poor Mason for a rather stinky fart.

Sometimes being the youngest sister can be tough. Adry's not allowed to wear makeup like her big sisters, or have a boyfriend, or go out with friends without her mom or grandpa.

Bree decided to help out in the garden and earned a bronze badge for it.

Another failed chance card loses $25 for the family and half a letter grade for poor Adry. Woops.

Larke decides to try out the older fellas and has Mark Trimble in the love tub for #15.

Sasha thinks her mother's taste in men is down right repulsive!

But Larke isn't picky and Matthew Jephson becomes #16.

Somewhere I heard that you can have more than one wishing well which means more than one wish per day! So the garden club was called out to inspect the garden again.

And the Wilcox family now has 2 wishing wells. Double the romance for Larke!

And with that, Gary Fratster becomes #17.

Adry kept helping her grandpa in the garden and earned her bronze gardening badge.

Larke actually helped out too and earned her silver badge.

With all the love and gardening, I almost forgot that Larke actually has a day job! Here she got promoted to Concert Pianist in the music track.

And then the dreaded day arrived. The Grim Reaper came for my beloved Ruben.

He didn't die in platinum, but at least he got a nice tiki drink on his way out. Rest in peace dear Ruben!

And he left money to a whopping 30 people (his 30 best friends I'm guessing)! He was well loved!

Little Adry isn't so little anymore. She had her teen birthday and her momma gives her a big thumbs up.

She looks a lot like her daddy (Hugh Scott). Adry rolled Fortune primary and Family secondary. She wants to reach the top of the Law career when she grows up.

Larke continues her ugly streak and makes Tyson Dawn #19.

I guess her first woohoo with mystery sim counts toward her LTW of woohoo'ing 20 sims because ugly Tyson earned Larke the LTW. Yay! I've never completed that LTW before, so I am pretty pleased with myself.

So it was a very busy week for the Wilcox family. We'll all miss Ruben, but Larke has her hands full with the raging hormones of three teenage girls. Of course, Larke has just as many hormones as the three of them put together! Next up is the Benson family! Thanks for reading.

Bakersfield: Start of Round 4

Another round has started for Bakersfield, and this fall landscape will soon be covered in fluffy, white snow! The residential section of town hasn't changed very much since the beginning of the town, but some of the houses have gotten a little bigger as the families have prospered and grown. I've been neglecting the community lots lately, but I hope to get these silly sims back out on the town in this round. Also, it's time for more pets!

The commercial center of Bakersfield saw two new additions this past round. The lovely little church where Leslie and Daniel got married can be seen on the right side of the picture, and the casino where Tracey and Robin tied the knot is on the top. That stretch of row-type lots still haven't been built into yet, but I hope to do that this round too!
