CR CHART FOR sirenspull

GABRIEL

Gabriel is his bro. Literally. Castiel has a lot of resentment pointed toward him for the way he rebelled and ran away from heaven, but it's conflicted-flavored resentment, because, well … he is his brother. When he first arrived at the Port, he was so lost and confused he actually gave following Gabriel's orders a shot. Sticking together was supposed to be a good thing, in theory. But since then, he's more or less got his bearing (as much as Cas will ever get his bearings) and is back to resentment/harsh criticism/deeply buried brotherly love.

ALOIS TRANCY

This kid somehow became Castiel's closest human connection in the port. He first talked to Luca and was … weirded out and concerned for this little kid and his soul bargaining with demons. So when he saw Alois on the NV feed he tried to talk to him about it and Alois basically screamed at him about God and blame him for everything wrong in life. But Cas took it and kept being concerned for him. And since Alois has become invested in teaching Cas about human things, he accepts his presence and sometimes shares stories about angel life with him in exchange (while not hesitating to tell him he's an annoying little shit in Cas language.) They've talked and become close enough that Castiel does care about his well-being in some capacity. To sum it up, Cas is basically drawn to dysfunctional brother sets and Alois has somehow become his small blond Dean.

ASLAN

He's the Jesus Lion. How can Castiel not care about the Jesus Lion? Even if he isn't THE Jesus, he recognizes that Aslan is … some kind of Jesus and treats him with reverence. When he was still seeking orders to follow, he talked to Aslan, who basically told him to go forth and help people. He still tries to do that.

NANA

A sweet little girl. Castiel helped her take care of ducks and talked to her about the nature of angels. He even made snow angels with her once. Because she asked.

HOPE ESTHEIM

A friend. He's had several conversations with Hope about several things, anything from names and animals to dreams to … hockey. He found Hope's dog for him when it got lost. He likes Hope, and respects his opinions.

LUCA MACKEN

His first conversation with Luca was about demons, because Luca was somehow under the impression that demons were nice and benevolent and awesome. And this was not okay with Castiel in so many ways, especially in the way where a demon made a deal with this tiny child. IS THAT EVEN LEGAL??? He's still concerned for him, especially after becoming closer to Alois. If there was a way to fix the hot tranny mess that is Luca's life (even though Luca is … oblivious to it), he would.

TOM HANNIGER

His first impression of Tom was "Wow this guy sure does sound/look/kind of act like the Dean guy I was supposed to save." So he shows up as a ping on Castiel's caring radar. They have bro adventures. Like when Castiel drank three bars in the Port (it's a long story) and Tom escorted him home. And when Tom decided to take it upon himself to educate Castiel when it came to human shit and took him to a hockey game.

AMALTHEA

Castiel relates to Amalthea because they both spend most of their time going "what the fuck is it with humans …" . She's a friend, too. And he's more likely to confide in her than most of his human friend-like-things because she's more likely to understand his perspective. Not that he ever really has confided in her. But if he needed to, he would.

LUCIFER MORNINGSTAR

Lucifer is his brother … but he isn't his brother??? It's some confusing shit for Castiel. As can be expected, he has a lot of hate and resentment and generally unpleasant feelings for Lucifer. But Lucifer's been like DUDE YOU NEED TO CHILL I'M NOT LIKE THAT ANYMORE so many times he's begrudgingly accepted his presence in the Port. Even if he does hide in the shadows and glare at him. Because he's going to screw up and bring hell on earth sometime. And when he does, Castiel will be there.

RAPHAEL

Raphael is the brother-but-not-brother that Castiel actually cares about. Ever since Cas showed up at the Port, Raphael has treated him with kindness and has always been willing to help him out with anything, even letting him stay with him once he was evicted from his starter apartment. This is the angel Cas has the most brother-like feelings toward. Even when he pokes and prods and makes Cas feel uncomfortable about his lovelife. When Mikael showed up, he left the apartment because he thought Raphael wanted space to be alone with him (even if that's a misguided opinion.)

MAGNETO

Magneto is one of the people at the Port who ask Castiel questions that make him doubt God and his plans and generally … make him unhappy inside. But he keeps talking to him because he wants to understand and sway him toward a more positive opinion of God. And they've hard conversations about their hard soldier lives.

Castiel according to the Urban Dictionary:

Aside from gripping people’s souls tight and raising them from perdition, Castiel’s hobbies include drinking liquor stores, having copious amounts of eyesex with Dean Winchester, and telling jokes that are funnier in Enochian.
When embarrassed or confused, Cas will lower his gaze and shift uncomfortably before fixing you with a puppy dog gaze that has been known to render both women and men completely helpless.

Player Information

Name: Ruthi
Age: 21
AIM SN: to be ruthless
email: sarlefay@gmail.com
Have you played in an LJ based game before? yes
Bonus: How did you hear about Siren's Pull? everywhere? lmao i don't even know. I feel like I've been seeing it around RPS and the like for the last million years.

Character Information

General
Canon Source: Supernatural
Canon Format: TV series
Character's Name: Castiel
Character's Age: A million years old. No literally. He's… really really old. But in his 30's physically.
Conditional: If your character is 13 years of age or under, please clarify how they will be played. n/a

What form will your character's NV take? A cellphone-like device. Cas will love his technology so much 8(

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities:

❖ His powers come from his ~grace~, which is basically the energy that makes angels … angels. If they lose their grace somehow, they become mortal.
❖ In addition to being a big ball of glowiness that can possess people, he can speak to people through electronics, such as radios or televisions. Which is pretty funny considering how… thoroughly baffled he is by using devices such as cellphones manually.
❖ Their appearance can cause physical phenomena, like lights flickering or a sudden wind.
❖ He has superhuman strength.
❖ He can teleport through time and space. Additionally, he can take other people with him. According to Dean, it's not a very pleasant experience.
❖ He can heal himself and others. It's pretty fucking hard to kill an angel. You need a magical <s>stupid looking</s> sword.
❖ By placing two fingers to a person's forehead, he can alter memories or render them unconscious.
❖ He can exorcise demons from humans by touching them.
❖ He has telekinesis. Angel have… a lot of abilities, okay.
❖ He can go to Hell to perform human rescue missions.

I am perfectly okay with downplaying any/all of these, because I know it's… a lot. o_o

Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? N/A

Weapons: He has a pimp angel killing sword. It's like a tiny dagger. That can kill angels.

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History:
Cas at Super-wiki.
Point in Canon: 4x01. He just rescued Dean Winchester from Hell, and is trying to encourage him to accept his role in preventing the breaking of the 66 seals that are going to raise Lucifer. Cas, being the soldier that he is, is very set on his mission and will determined to get Dean to see things his way, even though Dean initially meets him with reluctance.

Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history: N/A

Character Personality:
Castiel, in general, comes off as very blunt, tactless, and sometimes even a little naive to humans. This is because he's an angel, and being such, has spent most of his very long life with minimal human contact. For thousands of years the played the role of a solider for heaven, simply obeying orders. Coming into contact with Dean seems to be the first time he's ever had extensive exposure to humans, as far as anyone can tell. He probably wouldn't admire humans the way he does at the beginning of season four otherwise.

First and foremost, he's a soldier. Loyalty is one of Castiel's strongest character traits. When he takes someone's side, he's there completely, to the bitter end. When he sides with the Winchesters, he never looks back. He says he sometimes doubts God's plans, but he remains steadfast and loyal. Even though he betrays his angel family, he still retains his belief that God wouldn't stand for what's become Heaven, with all the bloodthirsty for an apocalypse. Discovering that God has given up and refuses to help is one of the most shattering moments in his life.

As a solder, he's very goal-oriented and dedicated to completing tasks. He's also very insistent on doing things his way. He won't even question Sam and Dean about their thoughts on the matter. He'll just pick them up, teleport them somewhere, and set them to work with info on a strictly need to know basis. He was willing to kill a child because he was the antichrist and could cause innumerable deaths if manipulated by the wrong person. Sam and Dean have to argue with him that there has to be another way. This cutthroat practicality is hard for Cas to step away from.

Because he's an angel, he has a stunted capacity for human emotions. Anna calls him on this when he tries to apologize to her and basically says that he isn't capable. Furthermore, he doesn't get the more subtle nuances of human behavior-- for example, he doesn't know how to lie for the sake of being comforting. He pretty much never lies at all, actually. The more time he spends around Sam and Dean, though, the easier it is for him to access emotions-- mostly negative ones, like anger and betrayal-- at his limited capacity. Another part of Castiel's angel fail? He doesn't get pop culture references. At all. His tendency to misunderstand and take things at face value makes his life around Dean really awkward.

Despite his lack of grasp on human emotions, he admires humans more than anything. He thinks they're God's greatest creations. This is a stark contrast to the opinion of most angels, who view humans as mere scum at worst and pawns to shuffle around at best. But not Cas. He calls them "pieces of art." He even scolds his brothers for thinking less of them.

Cas doesn't mince his words. He never says more than he needs to, and what he says is always what he means. If you aren't on the exact same page as him, he can seem really cryptic. Dean says he's "allergic to straight answers", which is a pretty accurate assessment.

Conditional: Personality development in previous game: N/A

Character Plans: His top priority will be to look for Dean. But since he will… inevitably not find him, he'll probably revert to looking for seals to prevent from opening alone. Failing that, he'll… interact with humans and be fascinated by them. And he'll probably try to protect them.

Appearance/PB: Castiel's true form is big and glowy and blew a psychic bitch's eyes out. It can't be perceived by most humans. Or, well, it can, but... you know. It blows their eyes out.

So most of the time he just possesses Jimmy <s>Neutron</s> Novak and uses him as a vessel, so people can look at him and keep their eyes in their sockets. He comes including light blue eyes that often sparkle with uncured tears like something out of a bishoujo anime, short light brown hair, an average build (he's 5'11"), and the ugliest beige trenchcoat you ever saw in your life.

HE DOES NOT HAVE WINGS. Though sometimes he can manifest… shadowy intangible wings.

Also his PB is Misha Collins.

Writing Samples

First Person Sample
[There is a lot of button pushing happening on the communicator. The recording flickers on and off a few times , goes staticy, and does a variety of things while Cas watches with a blank face. Eventually, he figures out how to put it on the proper setting and starts talking.]

I came here looking for Dean Winchester, but I can't seem to find him. This isn't Hell, but it doesn't appear to be any dimension I'm familiar with, either. [He's still saying this all with perfect calm, even though he's a mixture of perplexed and frustrated inside. That's how Cas rolls.]

Third Person Sample

He knew exactly where he had meant to appear. The teleportation was reflexive; it was a matter of thinking of a place and being there.

This place? Wasn't anything remotely resembling that. He wasn't even standing anymore. Castiel felt like he'd been slammed violently against the ground, every bone in his vessel's body aching with white hot pain.
