I wish to answer with the premise that I do not want for you to take this personally and I am only replying in hopes to educate you on the topic, as somebody who was personally molested.

Whether the sexual assault is in the content warnings or not doesn’t change people’s opinion on it, especially because the issues started to arise with the new update. I have personally read the warnings and upon watching the gameplay, I assumed the sexual assault warning was referring to the scene where the MC almost gets assaulted in the arcade. In short, the fact it’s in the warnings keeps it vague, reason why people are allowed to complain about its representation.

Besides, even if you think it doesn't, fiction does affect reality, especially when it comes to topics such as sexual assault. It is a very real thing which affects real people. It is only natural that a sexualized/fetishized/badly handled representation of it is going to leave a bad taste into other people’s mouths.

SPOILERS AHEAD

After reading some of the comments, a topic in particular caught my eye. I wasn’t aware of the fact that in the NSFW version of the game Sol sexually assaults the MC.

Now, as much as I do understand that this is a game which is focused on crude topics such as murder, stalking and such, I’m not exactly sure touching on sexual assault is the way to go.

As I get what kind of character he’s supposed to represent, immoral elements are naturally going to be present. I believe most of his weird traits to be alright to keep (stalker-ish tendencies, murderous instincts, obsessive behavior and so on) considering the kind of story and character you’re trying to portray. However, the sexual assault makes him difficult to genuinely like.

It probably has to do with the fact the MC was about to get sexually assaulted, before their savior literally took advantage of them the same night. I don’t have a problem with the SFW version as it manages to maintain the dark themes of the game, without taking it too far. In my eyes, the NSFW version is the problem.

As Sol is a love interest, making him do something of the sort just renders his character more difficult to appreciate. I’d suggest to focus onto other aspects of him (those mentioned previously for example) as sexual assault is one of the topics which simply leave a bad taste into my mouth (and into other’s as well).

Thank you for the recommendation,  I’ll definitely check them out!

Hello! I really enjoyed this new update, however I do wish to share some of my personal thoughts as to possibly help the game improve. English is not my first language, so please keep that in mind when reading this.

First of all, I’m going to focus on the game’s writing, as somebody who writes as a hobby. I do believe some of the lines to be harmonious, an improvement from the previous version (I found myself enjoying the new Crowe scenes in particular). However, others do come off as kind of cheesy, especially those which are more “contemporary” or the lines of dialogue which contain jokes/sarcastic remarks.

I enjoyed the fact the introduction is richer in content, the added context about Crowe’s relationship with the main character was truly needed. However I do believe the character descriptions to be a little heavy, as we can observe their characteristics for ourselves. It does render the pacing a little too slow, in my opinion.

As the main character seems to be closer to Crowe as of now and has a confirmed crush on him, it’s definitely going to be more difficult for Sol to be a love interest of equal importance. As the game is still a work in progress, I’m simply adding this as a heads-up.

The main character’s personality also seems to be quite contradictory at times, often shifting from timid to bold. Despite the multifaceted nature of the character, given the different choices, I do believe they come off as inconsistent. They also seem to have pretty distinctive characteristics (albeit not always coherent), which may break the player’s immersion, as they’re meant to represent us. I often found myself not relating to certain reactions, however having no room for a choice. Giving the player a choice to react or even think a certain way, even if it doesn't have much of an impact on the actual storyline, truly renders the experience more personal and enjoyable in my eyes (I’ve been recently playing Persona 5 and found myself quite satisfied with the choices provided, which do not necessarily have an impact on the unfolding of the events). In short, when you’re aiming for a self-insert main character, it’s best to leave them as anonymous as you can and to instead provide more choices, in order to cater to your players.

As for general comments about the game, the concept is intriguing and I do enjoy the style of it! I really appreciate the characters and I find a lot of the CGs to be quite pleasing. I would love for this game to reach its splendor, therefore I’d appreciate if you were to take my (and naturally everyone else’s) opinion into consideration. I’m rooting for you and this project :)
