So with Generations having come out and EA releasing both the memory system and the ability to manually change life stages without buying it I decided to give the game another whirl (since I never even played with Late Night I just sheeple bought it and then ignored the game).

'Sides I have to see if I like it enough to warrant buying Generations and Pets at the end of the year. <.<

Spouse by rhiannon_alexis.

Note: Since I don't have generations I made childhood go obscenely fast and not all my pictures saved properly. So I apologize in advance for the erratic nature of this first update...

Meet Babylon Jack McSmith aka Babs our crinkly eyed founder. Unfortunately in my reinstall I forgot to include my ear hack so all awesome-eared Sims are now sadly just big eared.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Since she has the desire to max out both her Athletic and Martial Arts skills Babs sold most of her furniture to afford a trip to Sim!China and pick up a sparring dummy. She's very thrilled to be here.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Piece of Stick 1 Babs 0 Grasshopper has a long way to go before she beats this one.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

But eventually (three days later) she did well enough to show off a couple of new suits and head back home taking PoS with her for more rematches. Sadly she couldn't afford Wood Chopper, but next time. Next time game.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Coming home Babs discovers her home suspiciously empty of anything cool so she wanders down the street and who catches her eye? None other than Laquaan by the lovely and awesome rhiannon_alexis. It's like he magically fell from the sky and just happened to move in there or something...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Laquaan seems to like what he sees...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Promising start!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

But like in all my TS3 efforts Babs was denied her first kiss. He's a legacy tease!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Not to be thwarted (get in muh legacy now!) Babs swiftly buys the Eye Candy perk and invites him back to her place. Several hours later (he's shy, it was hard) he's receptive to her suggestion that they go steady!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

He even gave in to that kiss. :D

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And with possibly a lack of ability to think straight due to sleep deprivation he also accepted her ring.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And they got married post coital. Priorities Laquaan has them.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I find it ironic that pregnancy now takes as long as infant & toddler hood combined in my game...why can't we adjust that too EA?!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I also didn't realize that pregnant sims aren't allowed to use exercise equipment or the training dummy so I'm really happy I made her handy because Laquaan can't turn on the faucet without breaking it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Soon after it was time for the first possible heir.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And as soon as she was done right to the exercise machine. Just bam. No cuddle. See you later kid I have to go burn off those prego-pounds. <.< Good mothering skillz Babs has them...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ripley sees you and she does not approve.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Better shot. Laquaan struggled to take care of the kids despite the fact that I gave him childish to substitute my lack of Nurturing. He's shy so apparently his own spawn are just too awkward for him to be around.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Babs is very pleased to be pregnant again...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

She got into it when she realized that she didn't have to spend all day upgrading the household this time.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I'm proud to announce that Ripley learned all her toddler training skills. Though she didn't have time to play with any skilling toys.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Aw whose my sullen little derp? Then I heard screaming...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Babs terrifying the paper girl with her labor.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Laquaan actually sat down, started eating his soup and then realized she was in labor and panicked.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Then went back to his soup...anyway let's welcome...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Sigh. Hang on a bit...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Come fishing with Ripley for a while.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Kennedy McSmith! Just like his sister he's got the nice skin blend of his parents and his dad's blond hair. However unlike his sister who inherited her mom's light purple eyes and his father who has light blue eyes...his are brown. Okay.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Laquaan is interested in him, he's just pretending.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There we go.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Unfortunately all Kennedy managed to learn was potty training before it was his birthday. Look his dad works a lot to keep them in free diapers and his mom had a lot of hard sleeping to do!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Final baby! Clyde McSMith who has all of Babs' coloring.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Kennedy is not amused at being handily tossed aside...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Meanwhile Ripley is growing up gloriously! Yes, I certainly wasn't ignoring her or anything!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And Laquaan plays favorites.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This isn't awkward in the slightest EA! *headdesk*

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Silly faces make everything better. Except not really!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Oh hey! Guess who can finally go back to that Lifetime Wish! Go Babs; beat the stick!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Laquaan taking some personal time to jam out on a random street corner. I think it's ironic that the terminally shy sim is the one that rolled the want to go perform publicly. Also his Lifetime Wish is to max three skills so I put him in Music to bring in money and work on Guitar/Logic at the same time. Bonus!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Here's Clyde. Nope no one is playing favorites in the household...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I'd like to pretend I'm doing this, but no Babs and Laquaan both favor Clyde.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ripley decides to take out her frustrations in life by painting beautiful landscapes.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

While Kennedy writes hard hitting and critical non-fiction about his family.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

You know...for parents that swarm that baby when it comes time for cuddles or snuggles they had no qualms about flat out refusing to teach him. I had to get Ripley to intervene so he could at least learn to poop in a bucket and talk.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Keep on with that A plus parenting Babs! Note the constantly absent Laquaan...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Clyde didn't quite get to walking before he aged up as ridiculously as possible.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ripley really wanted to go fishing first thing in the morning...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And barely got a chance to before she was immediately picked up. I really wish that more rowdy kids had the chance to try and flee the police or something.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I can only imagine it this way:

"Hey mom! Mom guess what! Even though you saw me leave to go fishing I still got picked up by the cops! Then I got to ride in the squad car and work the siren! It was fantastic!"

"That's nice honey, mommy has to go...talk to daddy about this..." *shifty eyes*

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Meanwhile Kennedy grew up sometime between the adults 'talking' and his sister getting busted. Or was it the night before while everyone was focused on not caring about Clyde's birthday?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Kennedy taking out his middle child frustrations on the stick...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Babs learning how to meditate (which I thought was pretty awesome).

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And to celebrate she took the kids out to the community pool.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Then had a picnic party in the parking lot for this family is ghetto! Laquaan was legitimately at work this time.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

That night it was Ripley and Clyde's age transition again (a few days passed, I didn't manage to get a lot of pictures...mostly it was the kids being delinquent and not wanting to attend school).

Anyway...Ripley's school friend Noel is helping her celebrate.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Then promptly ignored Clyde in favor of the stick. Noel, you're banned from the house from now on...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Clyde decided that he needed to get revenge on the stick for ruining his birthday, but instead got schooled.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Laquaan & his guitar Lola Ripples OTP forever!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Babs finally maxing out Athletic! With Stinky Justice!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And the family could afford not only a tiny room for Ripley, but also a chess set! Oh legacies. You start off so damn poor and then within two generations they'll be living in mansions with a live in butler. <.<

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

They also got a washer/dryer unit that Clyde was victorious over! Woo!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Then it was Kennedy's YA transition as well and I decided rather than playing through a few more days to get to Clyde's I'd just do a double birthday. Sorry bbs. Kennedy got screwed again and Clyde missed out on flunking high school with his adamant refusal to go! They suffered!

And with that...

ON TO THE HEIR POLL!

I intentionally didn't share their traits until the end so that people could get the full picture of just how gloriously messed up most of these kids are! They either grew up mediocre or I had the worst random rolls. Constantly.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Will it be Ripley McSmith?

Ripley aspires to be an Illustrious Author (Master Painting/Writing)
Traits: Easily Impressed, Good, Loves the Outdoors, Excitable & Bookworm
She's the best mix of her parents with a blend of their skins, father's hair, mother's eyes and mixed features (though she favors Laquaan).

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Or perhaps Kennedy McSmith?

Kennedy wishes to be an International Super Spy (Level 10 Law Enforcement Special Agent Branch)
Traits: Excitable, Athletic, Mean Spirited, Snob, Party Animal
He also has the mixed skins and his dad's hair, but inexplicably brown eyes. He favors both his parents.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Of maybe Clyde McSmith?

Clyde desires to be a Paranormal Profiteer (Level 10 Ghost Hunter)
Traits: Neurotic, Grumpy, Couch Potato, Hopeless Romantic, Charismatic
Clyde favors his mother completely in the skin, hair & eyes department. He actually looks remarkably like Kennedy facial feature wise (though his body is thinner).

Now it is time for you to decide because I can't!

The plan is each kid will get with a pixel_trade since there's been a submission explosion over there with spares getting hitched and knocked up first so I'm guaranteed McSmith cousins running around.
