Just dropping in to say hi to everyone! Finals are over, Christmas is over, and my winter break is half over already. But I still have lots of plans of things I want to do before spring semester starts. Hope you are all doing well! I've browsed my flist now and then over the past few weeks and have enjoyed hearing from you all.

Oh, and btw, does anyone out there happen to have the LOTR soundtracks, the complete recordings versions?? I downloaded all three about a year ago and burned them onto CDs and LOVED THEM but I've been scrounging around my house for an hour now and I can't find them! I'm afraid they may have gotten misplaced when I packed everything up for school :( :( Anyway, if any of you have the soundtracks and feel like sharing I would REALLY appreciate it! Oh, and I do have ROTK (thankfully I at least saved one of them on my old computer), but I still would love to have TTT and FOTR.

I'm about to do a small friends cut. It's just....I've been holding off on this long enough and it's time. It's only 3 people. One of them I just don't have much in common with and the other two, as cool as they seem, I don't know, they never comment on my journal (and rarely REPLY to my comments on THEIR journals) and I've just gotten tired of this one-sided relationship thing. So...yeah, it's time.

Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary since Charlie Pace's death on Lost. I've known this date was coming up for a while and I really wanted to do something to commemorate him on the day, but it wasn't until a few days ago that I decided what exactly. Since Thursday I've been scrounging like crazy to finish a music video for him. I'd planned on posting it on the actual day, yesterday, but it's taking way longer than expected so I probably won't get it posted until this afternoon (it's rendering the files that takes so bloody long). Ah well, better late than never, yes?

And speaking of Charlie/Dom....who knew Dom did a Kodak commercial in 1996? I sure didn't:

And I'm actually quite pleased!!

Edward looks amazing! I liked the idea of Robert in the role fairly well from the beginning, but was worried about what they'd do with his hair and such, but he looks...just...guh...amazing! And Emmet looks quite good, too. It's a hard thing to take a book that is so beloved and re-create the characters that people have such definite ideas about, and I think they rather a good job of it. I mean, they're not perfect, but hey, this is life. Since when is it perfect?

The only one that irks me is Jasper :( He was my favorite (well, except for Edward and Alice, haha) in the book and when I found out Jackson Rathbone had been cast I was rather pleased, but they totally wrecked him with that blonde wig and slightly feminine attire/make-up :(

School's over. Graduation's over. My high school years are over. But instead of getting all sappy and reminiscent on you guys...I'm going to ignore the weirdness that is my life right now and just give you a picture update because...well, I got my hair cut :)

For some reason when I was in Florida over spring break I got the sudden urge to get bangs again (which I haven't had since I was ten years old). I think it had something to do with the fact that we watched a lot of Gilmore Girls down there and well...Rory inspired me with her "fringe" :) When I went in to the salon I took in a pic of Alexis Bledel and a pic of Emilie de Ravin and told my hair dresser I kind of wanted a mix of the two.

Eeek....I just looked at the time...I'd better scoot and finish this up later...season finale of Heroes is on in a few minutes!!!!

Tuesday, May 22: Anyhow, thanks to my new haircut I have now had 4 of my 5 siblings tell me I look like Rory Gilmore...Not quite what I was going for, but hey, I'm not complaining.

I'm still not sure I like it...it's definitely going to take some getting used to (plus I have yet to figure out how to style them and such). On the bright side, they're long enough that I can pin them back if I decide I really hate them. As a matter of fact, I've got them pushed back by a headband right now (what, did I not mention that it's a bajillion degrees out? My face needs space to breathe).

So there you have it. Even though this is certainly a bittersweet time for me, I'm happy summer's almost here. I had originally planned on spending this entire first week of break vidding (something I haven't been able to do in a long time) but wouldn't you know, Sunday (the day after graduation) I got hit with a cold and canker sores. My body always holds out until everything's over and then the first week of break it collapses and I'm sick for a week. It's frustrating, but I guess it's a good thing in a way....least I'm not sick for the important stuff.

But anyway, it's about a billion degrees here right now (Exaggerate? Me? Never!) and I feel sticky and sweaty and all stuffed up *sniff* so maybe I'll ~~kick~~ gently nudge my little brothers out of the refreshingly cool basement and watch some more ~~Geoff Shawcross~~ Hetty Wainthropp.

This is an LOTR fanfic I wrote as a school assignment for my British Literature class last fall. Our assignment was to write a one page (*ahem* Yeah, I went a tad bit over that *cough*) story illustrating a common aphorism or saying.
